here we go...
Guess in the next one will be the one where we'll be waiting for the first kick! hooray it's the weekend! i haven't had any stretchy stomach feelings, maybe a quiet period pain rumble (!? is that what you mean?) well what a beautiful day i'm lying on sofa under a blanket, laptop on lap and sky baby channel on in background (i've just shed a few tears of happiness for a manchester mum who has just screamed her head off and given birth to a baby boy).

can't remember who asked - cads? re: measurement of c to r . i had one scan at 11+1 babe was 4.5 and another at 12+2 and it measured 6.0 cm.

have good sats jen

Evening ladies,

Happy to report that everthing went well today!

Baby looked very comfy in there! I was on the bed with one hand on my tummy and one hand under my head and sonographer said he/she was positioned just like I was!!

As for measurements - biparietal diameter of 3.3cm, head circumference of 12cm, abdominal circumfereance of 10.5cm and femur length of 1.9cm!!

Took the children in with us, which was nice, they've just been rubbing a free sample of that avent cream into my tummy! Smells lovely too!

Well off to put children to bed, I'm at work later so will tell them the news, although I'm sure they've probably guessed my tummy is really sticking out!

Great news about your scan too Twinkle!

ChaCha · 16/05/2005 21:25

Ohhhh...super! Congratulations to all of you who had scans today..i'm so excited now, can't wait till Saturday...(am a bit nervous though)!

Beksmum - i'm feeling crappola myself, i had a good sleep this afternoon, about 3 hours and slept on my side with a big cushion over tummy - seemed to work. Woke up however with terrible sickness and have been throwing up since - am going to have to take anti-sickness tablet again and get ready for work tomorrow.

DH is cooking himself chicken and it smells awful! I have asked for potato fritters..why I do not know.

Best iron my working gear for tomorrow xxx

busyalexsmummy · 16/05/2005 21:58

cooked a lovely spag bol but only mangaged to eat about 10 mouthfuls before feeling
like i was going to pop! i think my stomach has shrunk!

BEKsmum · 17/05/2005 08:44

Morning all,

Rodeo congratulations you must have been really relieved after how you felt last week. Glad everything went well and that by the sounds of it you have a very chilled out baby in there. How did work take the news?

Busy, bless you're both still babies yourself! Can't believe you're only 20 your messages make you sound older than that, no wonder your partner was a bit worried at first, two kids at 21 is a lot to handle, I know I couldn't have done it. I'm dreading the thought of two and I'll be 31 by the time this one makes an appearance
Hope your party goes well at the weekend and that the weather holds for you. I bet you get that baby out before your birthday the thought of missing out on a proper 21st bash will spur you on!

Xena good luck with the Ofsted inspection, I'm sure you'll be fine.

Woke up feeling a bit better today so far, so hoping to have a good day today as the house is a tip and I have an ironing mountain to rival Everest so need to get my finger out.

Have a good day all.

hamster · 17/05/2005 09:38

Mornin' peeps,

WOW! I ate ALL of my dinner last night. First time since I have been pg! So happy! I even ate a big, fat sausage bap for breakfast too!(admittedly I did feel a little queasy after!)

Is this the end of m/s?.....I really hope so!

Rodeo and Twinkle, so glad it went well for you both. It's funny seeing baby just swimming around, happy as larry, oblivious to all the excitement out here isn't it!?!

I think that now so many of you have agreed I should buy one of those wonderful looking pillows, then dp should agree to me buying one. I have four normal pillows ATM, but by the time I wake they are all on the floor, except one, usually held between my knees. I need one!

Oh Beksmum, I too have the biggest pile of ironing to do. It's sat opposite me staring at me. I don't want to do it. [stamping feet]

Still, off I go...........

twinkle1 · 17/05/2005 10:02

congrats on your scan rodeo, it all seems soooo real now dosen't it!!!! Its strange but our baby was also laid with its hands behind its head both of our other kids were exactly the same on there scans its really weird. Well glad it went well, how many weeks did they say you were??
talk later twinkle

Xena · 17/05/2005 10:04

arghh went to the grobag website to buy a pillow and they are all sold out every colour

rodeo1 · 17/05/2005 11:10

Morning everyone,

Thanks for all the messages, Twinkle they said I was 15+5 yesterday, how about you? Keep looking at the scan picture it looks really tiny!

Congratulations on not throwing up Hamster! I'm sure this will be the end on ms for you!

I'm sure loads of baby places do those big pillows, Xena and Hamster, I'll look through a couple of catalogues for you and report back

Nice and sunny again, ds is at playgroup until half 12 so it's nice and peaceful here. Dp took children to school so I'm still in dressing gown!

Well have a lovely day everybody, don't do yourself in with all that ironing Beksmum!!

rodeo1 · 17/05/2005 11:16

Forgot to say, chickened out of telling work, not sure why, it was really quiet, maybe that was it. Will tell them on Fri, when both my boss and best workmate will be there!

Oh and I ordered my first pair of maternity jeans yesterday evening too!

rodeo1 · 17/05/2005 11:26

OOOOOOOHHHHHH QUICK!!!!!

Just found a maternity pillow on sale for half price!!! Where is my bloody debit card!!

On website www.motherbliss.co.uk, they do the 'super' maternity pillow which is 39 quid, which is 190cm long, but the 'standard' pillow is 160cm and only 14.75! (sorry my crappy keyboard 'doesn't do' pound signs)

They're in the mother shop part under maternity pillows. Hope this is helpful!

bamik · 17/05/2005 11:55

Hello Everyone,

I'm 13+3 today. In full time work and finding it difficult to drag myself into the office every day! Had a scan on 11th May and was amazed at how much the baby was moving around! It was my 2nd scan as the midwifes thought I was further than I was, only to find out I was less!

Congrats to all the November Mommies and hope to speak to you all again soon

Laylasmum · 17/05/2005 12:00

Rodeo glad all was well with your scan!! Did you have it done at the City? I had mine in the ante natal clinic and the room had no windows and was really warm not v pleasant!!

rodeo1 · 17/05/2005 12:11

Welcome aboard Bamik! It's lovely to keep getting new members! So when is your EDD?

Layla's mum - Yes I was at the City, and it was rather warm! It's brill we're at the same hospital, have you got a 20 wk appt yet? Mine's on the 21st June - we may bump into each other!!

Diege · 17/05/2005 14:11

Hi everyone,
Can I join? Due November 13th, and just back at work this week after being signed off with hyperemesis gravidarum - so know how you feel with MS! Still sick 2/3 times a day, but my record was 15, so grateful it seems to be getting better at 14 weeks! Have two dds, age 3.5 and 2, and feeling a bit panicky at prospect of 3!

hamster · 17/05/2005 15:12

Good afternoon, have now conquered my mountain of ironing! hooray...till next week.

Anyway, hi Diege. Poor you with the sickness. It really can't be very pleasant managing 15 times in a day! I think my record was 5 or 6, and that almost killed me!

Hi Bamik, welcome. When exactly are you due?(for those of us too lazy to work it out!)
It is getting increasing hard to get up and go to work I must agree!

Well you're not alone as you can see! There are loads of us to chat about anything you want! If you go to;Due in Nov Members list (under antenatal clubs)you will find out how far along everyone is etc.

Rodeo, thanks for the website! Am looking now. Just need to justify spending money on a pillow to dp! Easier said than done! LOL
Have you ordered one?

Laylasmum · 17/05/2005 15:17

My 20 week scan is on 14th june but i think our EDDs are pretty close so who knows we may meet up on the Derbyshire suite!!!

ChaCha · 17/05/2005 16:38

Hi everyone, am catching up on everyone's news after work with a big bag of scrummy chips! Could not be faffed cooking at all.

Rodeo - did you get one of those cushions? I'm gonna go check out your site now.

Welcome Diege and Hi again Bamik
Does anyone commute to work? I've really had enough of it.

Got my maternity exemption card through this morning, whoopeeee!

Going to post in the Pregnancy area..

rodeo1 · 17/05/2005 16:48

Yes have ordered one of the cushions, although took ages to decide on the plain blue one or the peter rabbit one - I'm so indecisive!!

Laylasmum yes may well see you up there - i'm having a section so will be there for 3-4 days!

Diege, 2 new members in one day - great! There are a couple of us on baby no 3 or 4 (i'm on no 3) so yes, totally understand the panicky feelings!

Just off to make tea, speak later! x x x

ChaCha · 17/05/2005 16:49

Rodeo - i just ordered one Really like the plain blue one but then thought munchkins might be a girl and so better not (should i use it after PG)..got the white one instead..
Hey..you should be demanding commission ;)

rodeo1 · 17/05/2005 16:50

P.S to the new girls and to those who have't done it yet! - put your stats down on the Nov 2005 Members List thread!

ChaCha · 17/05/2005 16:51

think my eyes were bigger than my belly

rodeo1 · 17/05/2005 16:55

Good idea Chacha, If you CAT me I can give you my address and you can send me a fiver

rodeo1 · 17/05/2005 16:58

Another advantage of the white one, it won't show up the baby sick or the breastmilk you'll be spraying everywhere!!

ChaCha · 17/05/2005 16:59

LOL

Xena · 17/05/2005 17:34

I can't make my mind up about those cushions, I am going to get my tape measure out in a minute to see how long its going to be. I really fancy one of those huge bean bags or I'm going to get a hammock on a frame and have it in my lounge
Hi to Bamik and Diege we have 3 already so this will be our 4th No3 fitted in easier than no2 but I'm nervous of having 3 preschoolers as its another year after the baby is born that DD1 will go to school.
