here we go...
Guess in the next one will be the one where we'll be waiting for the first kick! hooray it's the weekend! i haven't had any stretchy stomach feelings, maybe a quiet period pain rumble (!? is that what you mean?) well what a beautiful day i'm lying on sofa under a blanket, laptop on lap and sky baby channel on in background (i've just shed a few tears of happiness for a manchester mum who has just screamed her head off and given birth to a baby boy).

can't remember who asked - cads? re: measurement of c to r . i had one scan at 11+1 babe was 4.5 and another at 12+2 and it measured 6.0 cm.

have good sats jen

Xena ((((((((BIG HUG)))))))

I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope that you'll feel better soon and that you are able to get lots of rest. Ip hope that you change you mind about it one day.

God Bless,

Bami xxx

Xena · 18/05/2005 13:25

Thank you. Diddle the baby is still there its about the size of a 11 week a bit big to go naturally could take up to 4 weeks and then they still might need to do the op.

Diddle · 18/05/2005 13:41

oh xena, i'm so sorry you're going through this. Have they left you with any options, or will they operate?

Xena · 18/05/2005 14:00

They said that I could try to have it naturally but because its more than 9 wks it can take abit longer they would have to rescan me in 2 weeks to see if it had all gone and then they would let me go for upto 4 weeks but then they would have to do the op anyway. I don't really want it to drag on any longer esp if there is a chance that I would have to have the D&C anyway.

ChaCha · 18/05/2005 14:03

Xena
I'm really sorry. I don't know what else to say. I know it's not much consolation but you sound as though you have a really supportive family and fantastic kids - they'll be there for you as we are here and as i always say - am totally crappola with words but i'm thinking of you.
Was it all of a sudden Xena?

rodeo1 · 18/05/2005 14:25

Oh Xena, I'm so sad too darling

xena xxx

Xena · 18/05/2005 16:29

Chacha please don't worry yes it was sudden to me but if I think about it, at the last scan I should have asked more questions the baby can't have been growing propaly then.

twinkle1 · 18/05/2005 16:37

xena, so sorry thinking of you and your family.
Hugs twinkle

BEKsmum · 18/05/2005 16:43

Oh Xena sweetheart I'm so sorry, I thought we'd all got past this, you must be devestated. Like the others have already said we are all here for you if you need us and feel free to Cat me if you want to chat of the site.

Also as Chaha said you sound like you have really supportive family and wonderful kids who will be a welcome distraction for you at this awful time. Sending love and hugs to you and your family and I hope that time changes your mind about trying again, as you are obviously a very good mum and any child would be lucky to get you both as parents.

Thank TooMany for letting us know what was happening with you and I'm sure you'll get through the g/a without any problems but I can understand how scared you feel, please let us know that all has gone ok even if you do feel the need to leave us afterwards which I hope you won't as we will need your advice and input as much as ever.

CADS · 18/05/2005 17:27

Xena - Sorry read your sad news. Not sure what else to say really. I think Beksmum sums it all up. Hugs to you and your family.
X

alfiesmum · 19/05/2005 08:33

Xena - So sorry have just read your news xxx

Rodeo - a huge thank you to you I ordered one of those cushions the other day and its arrived this morning!!! I picked noahs ark in the end and its lovely, will be perfect for breast feeding afterwards. No more milk and sick over the sofa cushions that I used first time round!

Diege · 19/05/2005 11:14

Just catching up with messages after day off work. Thanks for your warm welcome everyone, and so sad Xena about your news .
Sickness is down to once a day now - what a treat!
Bump starting too, though really just made up of christmas fat I think!. Good to have same due date Beksmum! - I'm sure I will be 5 days early though, as was with other two. Agree ChaCha about communiting - it's a killer, and you're shattered before you get there! Finish soon(ish) for summer hols (teaching) so some relief ahead!

Enthusia · 19/05/2005 12:17

Diege - Are you a teacher? ChaCha and I are too!

Diege · 19/05/2005 12:20

Enthusia - hi! Yes, sort of (HE lecturer), though nice that students have left now for summer. Loads of marking, but then you'd know about this more than me! Also do A' level stuff (exam marking). Are you secondary or primary?

Enthusia · 19/05/2005 13:22

I am Primary, ChaCha is secondary, so between us we cover all age groups!

Am very of you, I don't break up til 22nd July!

hamster · 19/05/2005 14:26

Hi Ladies

Xena, you're prob fed up of hearing it, but I am so, so sorry to hear your news. I know how terribly shocked you must be feeling right now.

Well, hi to everyone else.
Jealous of all teachers in getting summer holidays at all. Still, we all have maternity leave to look forward to, don't we? hooray!

Diege, glad I'm not the only one with "big tum" syndrome". It seems to pop out as soon as you do the pg test with pgs after the 1st baby!

Anyway, catch you all tomorrow
xx

twinkle1 · 19/05/2005 14:46

hamster know what u mean about bump!!! I know this is my 3rd baby and will be 3rd c/section but my stomach muscles seem to have gone on strike and i look about 8months pregnant Husband keeps laughing at me im not happy
twinkle

LilJ · 19/05/2005 17:01

I'm almost 14 weeks and have a very definite bump - so visible that someone actually asked how many weeks I had left!! And it's my first baby - I guess all bodies are different.

hamster · 19/05/2005 17:16

Oh I know how you feel LilJ, I was huge with 1st pg. And it's sickening when you see people(like my friend-still size 10) who are 30 weeks and hardly show....grrrr

Anywya, I am off to cook tea now-don't know what. Nothing tempts me anymore. I don't even feel sick anymore, just off my food.

Talk tomorrow x

HellKat · 19/05/2005 17:34

Finally back all!
Our comp died last Sunday.
Wow lots has been happening on here!
Rodeo- Mega congrats hun! Was thinking of you.
Xena- Awww hunny I'm so sorry. I know exactly what you're going through. If you need me mail me. Try to keep strong.
Big hugs and hiya's to the rest of you aswell, especially Beks. I missed you're banters in the mornings! .
Well, have some fab news. After an incredibly short wait, we found out I'm 3 weeks pg tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOORRAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.
Funny thing is, the dr worked out we probably got pg on the very first attempt! Super sperm or what? I finally plucked up the courage to get a dr's appt after taking 9 tests (yep 9!) and rang for the hosp test this morning and the receptionist said "Congratulations that's no. 10!". We were offered the early scan but have declined. Just going to wait for the 10 weeker. Have major pg symptoms (treble the strength of before) and have a great feeling about this. Still in shock though that we conceived 3 days after the d&c! I guess it's true that you are really fertile after a mc.
Hope you're all doing great. Take care and lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

BEKsmum · 19/05/2005 18:14

Hellkat I'm screaming with delight what fantastic news, I've missed you too, thought it had all got too much for you and was sad that you'd disappeared!

I'm sitting here with my mouth hanging open with shock this is fantastic and I don't care what your due date is you are definitely still a November mum - by the way what is the due date?

You must be thrilled although I can understand that you must be a bit nervous too though and can see why you would opt not to have that early scan, let it find it's place first in peace before everyone starts peering at it.

By the way did you see the Rodeo & Chacha banter I think I was well outclassed by Rodeo there, although I think it was just 'cos I wasn't logged in!

Been feeling like crap all day but this news has made me feel a 100 times better, glad someone else is going to be feeling as rough as I still do.

What is it with all you teachers getting pregnant, I'd have thought after teaching the little monsters all day you'd have been well put off!.

Diege doubt I'll stick to my due date either as I was three weeks early with ds so god knows when this one will appear I should probably be on the October thread as well to hedge my bets.

You lot make me lol with the bump comments I had a six month tummy before I got pregnant so can't tell if my bump is showing or just getting so high I can't see over the top of it Haven't seen my feet directly for years, can't wait for you lot not to be able to see yours !!!

Off out with the girls for dinner tonight even though I feel as sick as a dog so won't be around to chat, hope everyone else is well and I'll catch up tomorrow.

Keeping everything crossed for you HK - well done to you and your super spermed hubby!!!

ChaCha · 19/05/2005 18:49

Hellkat - congratulations! Am really happy about your news - wishing you all the best.

Beksmum - And i thought i wasn't being victimised?!? Oh well, always enjoyed being the centre of attention. Enjoy your competition. And maybe next time..you never know..you will come out on top form ;) Hopefully though, not at my expense!!!

Diege - likewise about the summer hols..am counting the days but like Enthusia a couple of months still to go
Hi Hamster, hope you're well. KristinaM - haven't see you for a while, are you well?

Love to all - this board has been great
