here we go...
Guess in the next one will be the one where we'll be waiting for the first kick! hooray it's the weekend! i haven't had any stretchy stomach feelings, maybe a quiet period pain rumble (!? is that what you mean?) well what a beautiful day i'm lying on sofa under a blanket, laptop on lap and sky baby channel on in background (i've just shed a few tears of happiness for a manchester mum who has just screamed her head off and given birth to a baby boy).

can't remember who asked - cads? re: measurement of c to r . i had one scan at 11+1 babe was 4.5 and another at 12+2 and it measured 6.0 cm.

have good sats jen

cads When I was pg last time DD1 went around saying that mummy was pg with a girl a boy and a puppy because that is what DH told her!

BEKsmum · 16/05/2005 10:41

Morning girls, hope everyone with scans and results have a good day today and have good news for the rest of us later.

Xena & Cads lol at your descriptions, I think I must have twins or more in each bum cheek, hope they deliver soon as they've been in there so long they'll be teenagers soon!!!

Chacha thanks for the advice re Skittles, only thing is they are probably one of the only sweets I can't stand Have you tried sweethearts? They work too.

Had a good weekend here, the weather yesterday was superb so we went out and bought ds his first bike and spent the afternoon walking around with him mastering the art of peddling. Very proud of him and can't believe how grown up he looked on it

Have a good day speak to you all later.

rodeo1 · 16/05/2005 11:49

Thank you for the good luck messages everyone!

Scan not til 3.45, so trying to keep busy - my house hasn't been so tidy in ages!! Have even hoovered upstairs!!

Well the lovely weather of yesterday has turned to rain. Never mind, at least the weekend was nice.

Well done to your ds Beks, they still seem like babies to us but they'll look huge come November!

x x x Good luck Twinkle!! And you too Laylasmum!

ChaCha · 16/05/2005 12:54

Wishing you the best of luck Rodeo! And to all those who are scanning today...

Is it very quiet on here or is it just that i am spending far too much time at my PC?!? I wonder!

mummygow · 16/05/2005 13:00

Good luck girls with scans and results today!!

Feel like I cant stop eating the last couple of days and things arnt making me feel as yucky anymore. Had toast and beans for breakfast and I dont usually eat breakfast!!

What are all your favourite foods just now - mine was tomatoe soup but I think I have sickened myself of it!!

Enthusia · 16/05/2005 13:08

Hiya all,

Oh boy am I red today? DH had to work yesterday at short notice, so I though 'Bugger this' and went with him. We were at a B-list celebrity polo match, we were out in the sun for about 6 hours!!! I look like I have a tomato instead of a head!!!!!!!

Did get to meet, Ringo Star, Johnnie (from Eastenders) Bobby Davro and Kenny Jones, so that wasn't to bad!!! Also got some freebies, got to watch the England captain playing polo, and I drove home in a VVVEERRRYYYY nice car!!! So not a bad day in all.

Feeling very normal at the mo, which is quite scary, don't have many symptoms now. But I can feel my uterues still and still have some wind!!!

Hope you are all well, I left the staffroom after some comments about how much I was eating, so better go back now before they think I am tooo upset

ChaCha · 16/05/2005 13:11

Hi mummygow - I've been eating scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast, likewise usually skip it. Am finding it hard at times not to be able to have morning tea, i was able to stomach half a cup but now i'm totally off it - makes waking up/working that bit harder.
I am partial to stuffed vine leaves at the moment and all kinds of Mediterranean foods, namely Greek/Arabic..yum!

ChaCha · 16/05/2005 13:14

Enthusia - helloooo! Gosh, i feel like the moderator of this board - honestly, i do have a life i'm just taking frequent breaks today Sounds like a fab day out - worth looking like a tomato for
Most of your symptoms gone then? Those early pregnancy ones? I feel weird cannot describe it, just all lethargic and my tummy feels strange. Did not sleep well last night, simply am unable to sleep on stomach or any sides - get terrible nausea/sickness when i do.
I better go and look busy, DH is home for lunch (well busy for 5 minutes knowing me)
xx

Diddle · 16/05/2005 13:17

hello ladies - so who's scanning today? i know rodeo is, anyone else. well whoever you are i hope that it all goes well for you.

Enthusia - glad to hear you are feeling better, must be the end of the morning sickness for you.

My first AF has ended now, so we're back on the wagon, will be bding every 3 days now, fingers crossed for us.

Hope you all have a good day.

diddle

Enthusia · 16/05/2005 13:34

Fingers, toes and any other crossable items now crossed Diddle!! Enjoy the BD - I must admit I do miss those urges!!!!

ChaCha - My day is going quite easily so feel I have time to chat today. Kids are in assembly listening to particularly boring story read by head!

Have you tried sleeping with a pillow beteen your legs and around your tummy, I can't sleep any other way at the mo!

I have rather a TMI question I hope you don't mind me asking. Over the last few days I have had very elastic discharge, it is a creamy colour - bit snot like, but very hmmm dangly. It does not smell or itch or anything, but with my lack of symptoms recently I am getting paranoid again!!!! Any thoughts - hope no one was eating lunch!!!

Rodeo, good luck with scan!

mummygow · 16/05/2005 13:37

ChaCha I'm the same today Have not been off this laptop all day - I go for days not bothering then dont move. Dd and I just lying around livingroom being very lazy today - its great!!

Laylasmum · 16/05/2005 13:41

MW just phoned and my blood results have come back low risk for Down's and the neural tube probs, I know its not 'no risk' but still feel a bit better now i know!!
Good luck rodeo and twinkle with the scans today!!xx

Diddle · 16/05/2005 13:51

laylasmum - Great news i bet you feel really relieved. enjoy your day

hamster · 16/05/2005 14:04

Good afternoon,

Cor blimey, am I tired today!?! Had to work Saturday and had a birthady party to go to yesterday, so don't really feel "rested" after this weekend, still, must battle on!

Anyway, on a happier note I went to the baby show at the NEC on Friday. Was SO BUSY! Got a few bargains though such as toys and a few clothes for ds. I think I'm attracted more by the freebies though to be honest! Anybody else go?

So how are we all? Still have morning sickness?
Who has scans then? Good luck to all that do! Rodeo, let us know how it goes!

Well, as far as pg goes, I have started to feel a few little "tickles" in my tummy. Be happier when they're stronger movements-no chance of being confused with wind then!

Dp is moaning like hell that I am some phantom quilt pincher in the night, and that I hog the bed....I wish. More like the other way round. I admit though, I am at the 'I can't get comfy' stage. I feel guilty that I squash the baby if I lie on my front, and nothing else is comfy! Does anyone else still sleep on their tummies?

Enthusia, I think what you are describing 'down there' is normal. You're supposed to get increased discharge. I too have had it slighty gloopy but clear...... I suppose as long as it doesn't wiff, then we are ok...(I hope!)

ChaCha · 16/05/2005 14:13

At last! That's more like it!
Diddle - wishing you all the best and very happy BD'g!
Hamster - how old is your DD? Sounds like the kind of days i'm always having but at least i stacked the dishwasher and am half way through lunch (DH is late, thank God).
Laylasmum - great news - has put your mind at rest i'm sure
Enthusia - are you looking fwd to the hols? We have half term coming up at end of the month - another great week..ahhhh! I think the d/c is probably normal, why not post on pregnancy topic to ask too?
Are any of you keeping a PG diary?

ChaCha · 16/05/2005 14:14

Ohhh..and Hamster, i just posted about this very topic, am unable to sleep on my stomach full stop, nor my sides - i used to be okay on the left but now that's even making me feel yuk. I really don't understand it.

mummygow · 16/05/2005 14:17

I really need to get a baby journal had one for dd so def do not want this wee baby to feel left out!!

I have also started feeling some movement down below and I know its def not wind - its not a kick either though - its like a ripple (dh told me its not a bar of chocolate)

Xena · 16/05/2005 14:19

chacha I lurk hear all the time but don't always have anything to post about
Enthusia sound like a fab day!
Diddle lots of love and baby dust hoping it all goes well and lots of fun too.
Rodeo and the others having scans/tests goodluck.

hamster · 16/05/2005 15:42

ChaCha, I really don't know what to do about the sleeping thing. I have to get up at 4.30am for work, so as you can imagine I feel terrible some days. My mother has said to try the usual....warm bath+lavender, hot milky drink and a good book. Only thing is-that's not going to get me comfy!!!
I was toying with the idea of getting one of those funky body length pillows. Hmmmm...just the thought of it makes me feel sleepy! Wonder if it's worth buying one?

twinkle1 · 16/05/2005 16:59

hi everyone, hope all your scans/results went well. Everything went well for me today, baby looked fab kicking and bouncing about all over!!! very healthy. I had lots of blood work done and im going for a private Nuchal scan on fri in leeds!! i waited all this time for a scan and now i have two in one week it never rains but pours. it all seems very real now, very scary.well must go and have some tea, let me know how things went for everyone else
twinkle

BEKsmum · 16/05/2005 17:01

Afternoon girls, thought I'd come on here for a chat while ds tries to flood the bathroom

Laylasmum congratulations glad the results came back so good, don't suppose anyone ever gets the all clear as they like to cover their backs don't they. Hope this positive result puts your mind at ease.

Hamster the full length pillows and bean bags are worth buying a friend of mine swore by hers and now her ds uses it as a day bed and something to jump on so it doesn't got to waste.

Diddle have a fun week or so, hope hubby is feeling full of stamina Sending you lots of baby dust and good luck.

I am so of you guys who have stopped feeling sick - I feel like a complete bag of s**te. I have felt really sick all day and I'm whacked and have felt like this since last week. I feel like I'm 4 weeks pregnant not 14!!!

As for food I seem to be back on the cherry tomatoes and jacket potatoes with this one like I was with ds but other than that nothing really floats my boat at the moment. Even the thought of food makes we want to be heave.

Had one good bit of news today thought as I found out I'm due a tax rebate, probably won't be much but it's always nice to get somehting back from the taxman!

BEKsmum · 16/05/2005 17:04

Sorry Twinkle was typing as you posted, congratulations, what great news. Hope the nuchal scan goes well on Friday.

It's amazing how real it becomes when you see them on the screen isn't it, I just couldn't stop smiling all through the scan. Congrats again.

Xena · 16/05/2005 17:50

Glad it went well twinkle.
I'm sooo tired and sick feeling. I'm trying to get ready as I'm due an OFSTED inspection which i'm dreading as they have changed the style.
Have a good evening I will be on the computer most of the night typing up my policys
