here we go...
Guess in the next one will be the one where we'll be waiting for the first kick! hooray it's the weekend! i haven't had any stretchy stomach feelings, maybe a quiet period pain rumble (!? is that what you mean?) well what a beautiful day i'm lying on sofa under a blanket, laptop on lap and sky baby channel on in background (i've just shed a few tears of happiness for a manchester mum who has just screamed her head off and given birth to a baby boy).

can't remember who asked - cads? re: measurement of c to r . i had one scan at 11+1 babe was 4.5 and another at 12+2 and it measured 6.0 cm.

have good sats jen

BEKsmum - well i certainly hope paracetamol is ok as I have taken quite a bit since finding out I was pg. I did take 1 a night for a week or 2 as it was the only way I could get any sleep without pain from trapped wind, mixed with headaches that just got worse!!! As far as I know it is absolutely fine!!!!

ChaCha - I too got sick of the house but since Mum's been around it does not seem too bad. Work helped as well as I am not stuck in as much, but during Easter I felt desperate when left in the house on my own. That all feels so far away now, it is amazing how much things change in a relatively short space of time!

Enthusia · 14/05/2005 10:44

PS - am here if you need a chat to take your mind off it all. Tried to send you my email address but can not contact you through 'contact another talker' mind you, can't blame you - would I really want to be stalked by me - def not!!!

ChaCha · 14/05/2005 12:21

Will change my setting/profile etc..
Thanks xx

Enthusia · 14/05/2005 18:51

ChaCha - How's the hermit life going?

Hope everybody else is having a good day!!!

ChaCha · 14/05/2005 19:36

Evening all, how is everyone?

Hermit life is the pits! Have been in PJ's all day but have managed to do washing, cook dinner and catch up on a few chores. Still have metal mouth or flip flop mouth as Beksmum would say! What about you Enthusia? I've got an appt with the hospital next Saturday at 12pm so quite excited about that, will be 13 weeks hopefully. Have had some strange tuggy, sharp at times feelings to the right of tummy area - hope its all just the norm.
Am really looking fwd to dinner, here's to hoping i keep it down. Love to you all xxx
Where is everyone today?

BEKsmum · 14/05/2005 20:17

Evening all, just got in from watching the cars in the Gumball 3000 Rally, loads of really great cars but ds's favourite was the armoured tank, 'cos it had a flag, and aerial and in his words a shooter on the front!!!

Had a nice day and feel a bit better although still heaving for Britain and still have sandy flip flop mouth but at least I managed to get out and about today.

I take it everyone has been out enjoying the sunshine today other than you Chacha, but as you're feeling so energetic with regards to the housework there's plenty here you can do for me if you want now your house is spick & span!!!

Right off to put ds to bed and then going to put my feet up and probably go to sleep cos all that fresh air has worn me out.

Speak to you all tomorrow.

ChaCha · 14/05/2005 20:43

Beksmum - glad you had a good day out, DS must have been in his glory! House is not yet spick and span which is terrible as before being PG i wsa a bit of a cleaning freak! Hereditary i guess! I've had this tendency recently to kind of shove things into cupboards and wardrobes..cant be ar**d to be honest..yawn!

rodeo1 · 14/05/2005 21:55

Hi all,

Just thought I'd check in as there's nothing on the telly again, might watch The Bourne Identity dvd in bed later! Dp is watching the boxing tonight at a friends house and I'm swigging ginger beer and pringles making myself feel sick but I can't seem to stop!

Ds much better thank goodness, he's been really hungry all day! Went to asda earlier, but that's been it for today - in hermit mode too chacha! And my cupboards and wardrobes are ful of crap as well!

Glad you've had a nice day Beksmum! my ds would have loved it too!

Have you decided about your scan yet Chacha? How far apart would they be if you had both? you do usually get a photo with the nhs scans. I'd say wait for the nhs scan if you can bear the wait although I can't believe mine's on Monday it's come round really fast! You'd be better saving the money for something else I'd say - like breast and maternity pads, disposable pants, some lovely reusable nappies (of which I am a closet fan) the list goes on....and on and on!!

ChaCha · 14/05/2005 22:03

Hi there Rodeo..sounds like a nice night in - enjoy! There's a couple of films on TV that i might watch..think i'm being slightly over ambitious though..usually end up falling asleep and farting the night away
Well Rodeo, just rcvd NHS scan date today for next Saturday (13wks hopefully) so will no doubt cancel the private one. I am being really frugal at the moment, hate parting with a penny!

Best make myself busy xx

rodeo1 · 14/05/2005 22:08

Lol at the farting! I'm not too bad on that front but dp is terrible, i'm sure he's damaged my nasal hair things that detect smells! They are really really bad, I've never known anything like it, he even makes the children heave if he does one near them! And if I ever do one which remotely smells he's always 'OH ANNIE!!!' Cheeky git!

rodeo1 · 14/05/2005 22:12

Brill news about scan too - the week will fly by! There's a couple of us going for one this week, me and Twinkle on Monday, Sharon on Thurs, and you on Sat!

Anyone else with scans this week??

still feeling rubbish so sympathies to all fello sufferers and those who r feeling better, send us your good vibes!

have a good sunday.

CADS · 15/05/2005 08:56

Hi guys

Have been lurking for the last couple of days. Nothing new to report really. DS is still not sleeping properly, which I assume to be because of teething, so feeling a little tired.

Went shopping yesterday for some maternity clothes and only managed to find 1 top and 1 pair of trousers in the whole of Bluewater that I liked.

Off out to have breakfast, have a craving for bacon and egg mcmuffin.

Rodeo - are you sure you read the weather report of UK/ Weather here is lousy. Sun was shining until we got out of bed. Bl**dy typical.

Chacha - Re pelvic stuff, yes we should already be doing them. My gynae told be we should be doing them religiously once we become sexually active. Ha, he got to be kidding!

Enthusia - Can you send your mom round to do some pampering? Have to wait 4 wks till I see mine. Really missing her today, feeling a little tearful. We have a webcam so I do get to talk her quite a lot.

Hope everyone has lovely scans and enjoy meeting you babies. Please let us know how things went.

Sending you all good vibes.
X

ChaCha · 15/05/2005 11:30

Hi Yingers, Hi Cads,
Haven't seen you for a while. The sun is shining here and has really put me in holiday spirits, i must get swimming soon...
Off to have a very large breakfast xx

ChaCha · 15/05/2005 17:20

It's like coming home to an empty house!!! Where is everyone today? LOL

The sun here has been absolutely marvellous - have been basking in it all day and looking fwd to mini BBQ in the garden - feel free to pop round ;)

Beksmum - Skittles seem to be helping the old flip flop mouth - try some!

Well, hoping to see some of you here later, TTFN

ChaCha · 15/05/2005 18:44

I am starting a thread with me, myself and I!! LOL Am staying out of way of BBQ preparations at the moment, i will be expected to make the salads etc.. so am 'not feeling very well' upstairs! My father has just named me the little eating machine - charming! And both DH and DF thought this was highly amusing..MEN!!!!

Xena · 15/05/2005 18:51

Hi Chacha that made me smile too 'eating machine'. I seem to be craving onion bhajis??!! and shreddies.
We have had a lovely day in the garden today and took the DC's too whale of a time (indoor playcentre) yesterday, it was a sweetner really because on the way back we subjected them to car showrooms trying to decide which people carrier to buy.
DD2 is nearly walking and TBH I can't wait not to have to carry her all the time she does look really cute and she seems fairly fearless.
Anyway must go my stomach is telling me to eat (well thats my excuse anyway )

hollybelle · 15/05/2005 18:55

Hi to you all
I haven't posted for ages, don't seem to get much time at the moment (3 yr old and 1 yr old also). All well here, now 14 weeks and had nuchal scan at 12 weeks and all ok.
