Due Feb 2010

Afternoon,

I can't find a due in Feb thread, but I suppose it's very early still!

Got my BFP on tuesday, with a due date of Feb 3. It's still not quite sunk in - I've had to take another three tests since then just to check

I'm spending far too much time already planning for this baby when I should be working, please tell me I'm not the only one who is completely obsessed. And that I will calm down eventually!

Anyway, would love to chat with some other newly upduffed types.

oh watercress poor you, have you been given the anti virals?? I hope you start to feel better soon x

I haven't been feeling too bad since yesterday, just a little sensitive to smells. I think my MS is easing, it seems to have a patern I have a few days of feeling ok then one of feeling awful.

Have we got any scans this week?

mawbroon · 20/07/2009 11:33

I have my 8 week reassurance scan tomorrow. I have been on hols for the last two weeks which has lulled me into a false sense of security. I had to be up for mindee coming this morning and take him to the holiday club. I feel whacked and a bit bleugh, but nothing too serious I guess.

I am finding myself going off some foods, and craving fatty stodgy stuff, but I don't have anything like the cravings that I did with ds.

chamoiscreased · 20/07/2009 11:37

Hi ladies, scan this morning showed a missed miscarriage so I'm going to slink quietly away from this thread and onto the pregnancy loss boards and prepare to miscarry. I truly wish you all very smooth pregnancies and gorgeous babies and maybe our paths will cross again sometime xx

Pops78 · 21/07/2009 12:31

Hi All,

I don't want to be insensitive but Chamois news actually made me so paro that I went to GP this morning. It took him a couple of mins but there it was loud and strong - my babys heartbeat! That will def now get me through to scan next week - was so happy burst into tears. I just was a paro wreck. I used to be a sane person but since I got pg, I am a bit mad...

The GP was so lovely though said I was suffering from typical first baby syndrome and was not wasting his time at all. I actually think that everybody worries lots regardless of first, 3rd or 4th from reading this thread...

He also gave me stuff for my rash and nausea so all in all a very good morning.

chamoiscreased · 21/07/2009 13:01

Sorry, Pops, I didn't mean to upset or panic anyone. What happened to me is uncommon apparently - thank goodness. Glad your baby has a good heartbeat. x

mawbroon · 21/07/2009 13:12

My scan was fine today too. I am 8+2 but they said 8+4, so I won't argue about a couple of days, even though I know I didn't conceive before I ovulated!!!

There is only one baby in there, which is a disappointment to ds who thought there were four...

They were running late at the clinic, and I had to wait 40mins with my already full bladder, before trying hard not to pee myself as the woman pressed the scanner really hard into my bladder.....

I get my booking in and 12 week scan on 24th August, so not long to wait really.

becks130 · 21/07/2009 13:17

chamois How are you feeling? I went through the same 3 months ago and it was the hardest thing I have ever gone through, be patient because it does take time to get over x

pops congratulations I bet your feeling miles better. I don't think it gets any easier, I didn't even think about miscarriage when I was pregnant with my DS but now I am a complete worrier. How many weeks are you? I have my booking appointment on Saturday and was thinking of asking if they can check for a heartbeat, I'll be 10+3.

My morning sickness seems to be easing a lot BUT the tiredness is getting unbearable, I fall a sleep when ever I sit down on the sofa!

Pops78 · 21/07/2009 13:23

Oh Chamois, sorry I didn't mean to imply you upset me at all, just what happened to you. Hope your doing ok. As I said just really have turned into paro wreck recently. xx

Pops78 · 21/07/2009 13:27

becks130 - I am 10+4 so you will be pretty much same. It is very early though and apparently sometimes they won't even try in case you get more upset at not hearing it. If they do and you hear it though, it's such a mega relief.

Pops78 · 21/07/2009 13:29

Mawbroon - glad your scan went well.

devotion · 21/07/2009 16:04

Hello

Had my scan today, I thought I was 12 weeks today but I measured 13 weeks which means I am due 27th Jan.

Really confused about that because I am sure I conceived between days 11 - 15 which is when we had sex. But this new date means I ovulated a week after my period.

I dont mind anyway but does it mean it may just be a biggie?

As you all know (mentioned far too many times) I was so excited about the scan but I had the moodiest sonographer ever!!!

She was so quick, the baby was asleep she was just going to leave it and I asked her if she could try make the baby move. I moved my hips a bit and the baby stretched - that was it!

With my other scans they talked about the organs, showed me a profile of their face and talked about when they were going to take a picture. This lady took a pic of any shot and its the worst photo of a scan i have ever seen. I can hardly make anything out.

My others were great I felt really pee'd off but you cant say anything - so annoying!

She put no effort in whatsoever!!!

Ah well, the main thing was there is ONE baby there, heart beating and growing well!

So I am delighted and the other great thing is I actually felt normal this morning but ms came back after lunch. Its really getting better so that has made my week.

Mawbroon - glad your scan went well too. When I told dd1 about it, she was like. "At least there wont be three babies to look after now"... she is a bit concerned about having another sibling "annoying" her

watercress - forgot to day sorry to hear you have swine flu, how are you feeling today? Take care x

devotion · 21/07/2009 16:08

Think I should be on the Jan thread now too, my dd's came roughly on time so can not imagine that i will go five days over.

Pops78 · 21/07/2009 17:20

devotion - for the sake of 3 or 4 days don't leave us completely though! Just flit between both. So happy your scan went well but sorry your sonographer was moody, its such a pity but at the end of the day healthy little baby was seen :-)

twoplusone · 21/07/2009 19:28

chamois- so sorry to hear your news hun xx.

Glad the scan went well devotion and Mawbroon.

I have my scan on Friday and tbh I am bricking it, as in RL lately all I have heard is bad news amongst my friends that were pg..

Take care all xx

twoplusone · 21/07/2009 19:29

watercress hope you get better soon hun big hugs xxx

watercress · 21/07/2009 20:48

Hello,

Glad those who have had scans have had good news today. It's so exciting, even if the sonographer is moody!

My initial post that swine flu wasn't too bad was way off the mark. I've been really struggling with it and am glad the GP told me to not go to work. I'm just soooo tired (and I was tired anyway) and my temp keeps going up and down. First and last thing I feel OK though, so it's not like "seasonal" flu, which I have always found has wiped me out for days on end with no respite.

My midwife booking appt has finally come through but still no scan date. Sigh. My local hospital is not the most efficient. Never mind.

Good luck to all those with scans or appointments for the rest of the week. And devotion, don't leave us! You started with us, so stay with us!
