Afternoon,

I can't find a due in Feb thread, but I suppose it's very early still!

Got my BFP on tuesday, with a due date of Feb 3. It's still not quite sunk in - I've had to take another three tests since then just to check

I'm spending far too much time already planning for this baby when I should be working, please tell me I'm not the only one who is completely obsessed. And that I will calm down eventually!

Anyway, would love to chat with some other newly upduffed types.

Flyingcloud.. what did you say to him..

I am defo looking huge. but I thin that is down to the amount of bread I have been eating.. evenmy elasticated waste skirts and linen trousers, are getting tight!!!
My maternity clothes are in my bedroom but i dont want to wear them yet..

We have a fancy dress party nest weekend and I was going as a saloon girl, but my costume is quite short.. and last time I tried it on.. 2weeks ago it was very tight.. TBH dont think it is going to get close!! So jeans and a checked shirt are looking good!!! Just hope it is not hot..

I should really start my slimming world again as i really cant afford to put the weight on again this time.. Also not looking forward to my holidays next month as I am going to look like a beached whale!!! I did say to my hubby we could tell people i am 6months pg not 3months!! Biy did he laugh at me he has already started calling my FC.. which is his term for me when i am pregnant.. Fat Chick!! and baby taxi.. what a loving husband I have..lol

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 02/07/2009 19:04

Hi everyone,

I've got an infection, it hurts to breathe and I have a temperature- got to go for a scan tomorrow, 6 weeks to the day. Will they see anything?

luckywinner · 02/07/2009 19:43

Replied on the other thread Totally but I saw what reminded me of a jelly ring sweetie and a flicker of a heartbeat. Let us know how you get on. x

becks130 · 02/07/2009 20:26

I came clean to all at work today, I only work in a very small office with 3 people and they asked me out right so I told them I felt it was right to as they heard me being sick and noticed I wasn't drinking when we went out last week so I thought it would be better to tell them. Also they were very supportive when I mc and they didn't even know that I was pregnant then so it felt right to tell them this time.

I am feeling fine tonight so maybe the acupunture did work

becks130 · 02/07/2009 20:29

sorry I forgot to ask, has anyone else got serious wind?

chamoiscreased · 02/07/2009 21:17

Hi, can I de-lurk and join you please? Am due 15/2/10 with my first and am finally starting to believe this is really happening!
Saw midwife today but I'm a little concerned neither her or the GP have actually checked I'm pregnant, they're just taking my word for it. Hope I didn't make it all up then!
and yes have serious wind oh and horrendous vomiting.

devotion · 02/07/2009 22:42

Good evening

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied - sorry to hear that! I hope you feel better soon and that you are being looked after.

I remembered I had my first midwife app today 20 mins before I was due to be there. Had the fastest shower of my life.

I thought I was due 2nd Feb but she reckons 5th Feb. Every pregnancy calendar i have used and teh doctor said 2nd so I am going to keep to that until I have my scan and then we'll see, I would actually be glad its the 5th. The further teh due date moves away from jan the better.

so many people in my family are born in Jan.

becks130 - yes its windy in my home

and one more thing - my boobies are growing - hooray!!!!!!!!!!!! I have the smallest breasts (actually just have nipples) and with my other pregnancies my breasts did not grow during pregnancy and only after my milk cam in did they change. I was so gutted first time as that was to be a major higlight of my pregnancy.

so it seems to have taken three pregnancies for my body to realise that my boobs are supposed to grow.

so i am rather happy about that - they actually move

ms has definitely got less so i am really holding out now for it stopping at 12 weeks!

one friend just told me hers stopped at 9 weeks and she had big healthy boy so ms stopping before 12 weeks is not always a bad sign.

look forward to a cooler day tomorrow - we're never happy

devotion · 02/07/2009 22:43

chamoiscreased - sorry missed your thread.

welcome and congratulations and to hear you feeling so yucky!

x

MintChocAddict · 02/07/2009 22:50

Hi All,
I've been lurking since a short post a few weeks ago. I'm about 7+1 I think. Having ongoing spotting though so still not overly confident, although had this with DC1 for approx first 17 weeks and all turned out well.
Think GP is referring me for a slightly earlier scan so hopefully know more in the next couple of weeks.
My clothes are really tight already but putting this down to the HUGE amount of food that I'm scoffing!!

devotion · 02/07/2009 23:20

MintChocAddict - congrats

CaractacusPotty · 03/07/2009 10:19

Haven't posted for ages - it took me so long to read all the posts that in the time it took, ds2 managed to toddle off and find some black paint from goodness knows where, so had to clena that up and now have forgotten what everyone wrote

So, congrats to those joining us, sympathies to those sick, hurrah for those whose sickness is easing!! Oh, and I'm ridiculously constipated too. Get it every pg, but it never really righted itself after ds2 was born and now it's worse than ever. I did try eating prunes but they were so foul on top of MS it was too much! My MS seems to have settled from 24hr to leaving me a few hours free in the afternoon/early evening which is nice. It carried on until 17w with ds1 and 19w with ds2, so who knows how long it'll last this time! Ran into my mw last week so I told her, she was so sweet she gave me a huge hug! I told her about the MS starting only a week after conception so she said she might wangle me an early scan - I think if she reckons I'm big for dates I'll start to panic then!

Right, I'm off to mow the lawn - it's forecast to thunder this afternoon and the garden is starting to resemble a meadow these days...

Pops78 · 03/07/2009 10:29

Congrats mintchocchip and chamoiscreased (very intrigued by this user name).

Thank you all for your lovely advise on my constipation. I have taken all on board and put into action. Also, just good to know am not alone. Defo taking the advice of not pushing as think piles sound incredibly horrid.

Can confirm that wind is indeed another of my unladylike sufferings, and it has to be released when ready :-)

Totallyandutterlypaninied I had a throat infection when 5 weeks and was put on penicillin. I then had early scan 10 days later and all was fine. Must admit I didn't take full course because as soon as I felt better didn't want to put aything uneccessary into me but penicillin causes no harm to baby anyay! Hope you feel better soon.

Getting paro cos people keep talking about bumps and thickness but I have not got any such thing yet at 8 weeks. I want to see I am pg externally but I know its early days...

motherof2boys · 03/07/2009 11:59

POPs -don't worry whether or not you are showing! Some people never do really.

chamoiscreased · 03/07/2009 12:38

Thanks for the welcomes and congratulations to you all too!
Mintchocaddict - I'm glad I'm not the only one hanging around in the baby name threads already!
Pops - it's from an Elbow song. My face is very chamois creased!
Am going for an early scan on monday due to having a few problems. I'm so nervous.

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 03/07/2009 12:42

Had my first scan today. 6 weeks on the dot and a little heartbeat. I actually feel much better today. Thanks for the nice replies.

Hope everyone is coping with sickness. Sausage rolls are helping me cope with mine lol..

josla · 03/07/2009 13:33

was just reading all your posts but then... sausage rolls... i can't keep water down some days... but i had a really really good day yesterday, so roll on the ms going.
really hope the acupuncture keeps working for you becks.
have a good wekend everyone xxx

devotion · 03/07/2009 14:44

TotallyAndUtterlyPani... on your scan, thats great news.

I am feeling so sick right now and feel so bad on dd3, she is so bored and i've had in front of the tv, read her a few stories in witha monotone voice and luckily she is playing with music on instead.

need to prepare for a music lesson at her nursery now but feeling SO awful and sorry for myself, what i really needed was to lie down for hours sleep. only thing that really helps me.

as for constipation I am totally the opposite and going up to two times a day! as soon as I walk up I go. i guess all our bodies act differently.

mmm... would love a sausage roll.

bit depressed about my weight gain already. last two babies this never happened so early before bump was here.

guess its hard to see my body looking flabby after all that training i did for the marathon. i love being pregnant and getting a bump but my legs and ass are looking so fat already!!!

moan moan moan... normally i am not one of those skinny girls who complains normally about a bit of fat on their hips (that drives me mad), maybe i'm just a little sensitive right now.

... long sigh!

anyone fancy giving me a kick up the ass?

MintChocAddict · 03/07/2009 15:08

I've never been toned, so don't really know what I'm missing when I get fat(ter)

Thanks for all your welcomes and congrats.

Chamois - so I've been caught already hanging around the babyname threads. Oh the shame.

Got my first antenatal appt and scan date in the post today for 10/8/09. Another 5 weeks to wait. Reckon I'll be 12+5 by that time all being well. Spoke to the doc again yesterday about spotting so date may well be brought forward. Fingers crossed.

TotallyandUtterly - congrats on your scan.

devotion · 03/07/2009 19:34

MintChocAddict - thanks for the boot

Feel alot better but ms creeping in because im starving. sent dh to shop to get pizza and salad stuff, can not be bothered to cook.

just read my message again, i just want to say i was not skinny to start with - sounded like that!

oh all these scan dates are exciting, can not wait for mine. is anyone going to try and record it on their camera phone?

mawbroon · 03/07/2009 23:18

I am seriously beginning to wonder if I really am pregnant or not!! I have no sickness at all but I am tired and my nipples do get a bit sensitive when ds latches on. I am kind of wishing I was a wee bit sick to reassure me at least. I am going to look up my old threads to see when I started moaning about feeling sick!!

mawbroon · 03/07/2009 23:30

Ah ha, a quick search reveals me saying the very same thing in 2005! Seems that the boaking (I never actually puked, just boaked) didn't start until I was around 7 weeks or so.

Plenty time to feel like shit yet.

I got my booking in letter today, it is on 24th August. I feel like I am so far behind you ladies who are due at the beginning of the month. I might also pop over to the March thread.

laurawantsababy · 04/07/2009 13:51

Im 10 weeks tomorrow and have a defo bump now. Not sure how much longer I can hide it under baggy tops!

Booking in appointment is Thursday so hopefully my scan wont be long.

My ms is under control now. I eat 3 good meals a day and lots of juice and it seems to be ok. If I am late with a meal I feel ill again.

chinook · 04/07/2009 21:47

Hi girls I hope you don't mind making space for a latecomer. I have been lurking for ages but wasn't brave enough to post as I have had 2 consecutive mmc's. However I had a scan on Tuesday where I saw a tiny beatbeat and will be 9 weeks tomorrow with a due date of 7th feb. I have a dd aged 3.4 and all the symptoms I had with her, the worst of which is the constant nausea which didn't go away until I was 7 months preg. Only 5 months to go then!
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.

devotion · 05/07/2009 11:12

chinook - welcome and congratulations. i think we need an updated list now.

please dont tell us about 7 months of ms , only joking! if it makes you feel better i have spoke nonstop to mothers since being pregnant this time about their ms experiences. i spoke to a few mums whose ms was worse the first time around so it doesnt always mean it will get worse.

with dd2 i was sick 24 a day for 16 weeks. i am almost 10 weeks and up until the beginning i this week i felt sick 24 hours a day but now i get an hour here and there feeling ok so maybe its starting to ease off and will be gone soon - FINGERS CROSSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

anyway wishing you a very healthy and happy pregnancy!

i have a 3.2 year old and a 6 year old girl.

take care x

scoobyd00 · 05/07/2009 11:50

Mawbroon, I'm due at the end of Feb as well, so am also only 7 weeks. There are a few of us on here who are due around the same time, so stick around.

I've been feeling slightly nauseous from midday onwards, but certainly no actual sickness. I've lost my apetitie completely and was shocked to discover I've actualy lost a bit of weight. I'm putting it down to my reduction in training, so it's likely to be muscle loss. No doubt in 6 months time, when I have a huge stomach and bottom, I'll be looking back at this moment wistfully!
