Due Feb 2010

Afternoon,

I can't find a due in Feb thread, but I suppose it's very early still!

Got my BFP on tuesday, with a due date of Feb 3. It's still not quite sunk in - I've had to take another three tests since then just to check

I'm spending far too much time already planning for this baby when I should be working, please tell me I'm not the only one who is completely obsessed. And that I will calm down eventually!

Anyway, would love to chat with some other newly upduffed types.

CaractacusPotty · 26/06/2009 14:00

Eek! Too many posts to manage personals, sorry!

Congrats to all those having good scans.
Wishing MS to all those worrying about not having it, and relief to all those vomiting their guts up!! Welcome to anyone joining, and good luck to people TTC.

Had a day without much nausea yesterday, but feeling sick again today and I don't know what to do to amuse the boys. It's easier when it's sunny and I can just get the paddling pool out! No doubt it'll rain tomorrow too - we're off to the Highland Show, so it's bound to rain, isn't it?!

Squarah · 26/06/2009 14:31

Hello all! Wow we've really grown in size haven't we? I have hardly used the computer the last fortnight as it makes me feel much more sick! That and tiredness. Haven't needed a nap last couple of days which is great but then makes me paranoid!!

Surprised that my boobs haven't been sore at all yet - I was sure they kicked in earlier last time - grateful 'though. And how are folks coping with warm nights? I'm so hot! (not in a good way 'tho my DH may disagree on a good day in a favourable wind ).

Off to Ely for my dad's birthday for the weekend in a B+B, hoping DS's teething doesn't keep us up too much with him in our room. How disgusting are teething nappies plus nausea??! Grim grim grim.

Echo Caractacus about personals but hiya and lots of support to fellow worriers/ sufferers/ excited chicks!

devotion · 26/06/2009 14:44

Squarah - agree with you but I think all poo smells like death right now

writing that made my belly turn.

we really have grown in the last week, maybe we should do a list with order of scan dates.

i'm so looking forward to mine and to check there is only one. i'm sick of everyone teasing me now because i'm already showing even though i'm only 8 weeks, "oooh sure there's not two in there".

i broke down yesterday and had a good cry. felt much better after, just got overwhelmed by the constant sickness, lack of energy, zest, dirty bathroom and kitchen floor and the stress of trying to finish my last assignment. Got an extension until Monday but I am struggling so much and wish i did'nt choose to do that one - ah well!

sounds silly but a good cry always helps!

hope everyone is not feeling too yucky today!

x

motherof2boys · 26/06/2009 14:45

Is anyone else trying the sea sickness bands? - I think they are helping quite a lot!

motherof2boys · 26/06/2009 14:49

ps - sorry for those with sickness and nappies - I remember those times....
but it does get better

CaractacusPotty · 26/06/2009 15:16

devotion - my house is a state when I'm not pg, I'm not sure it's possible for it to get worse... (actually it is and it did this morning - DO NOT READ IF FEELING SICK RIGHT NOW - there was a funny smell in the dining room this morning, I asked dh to investigate (he's the numpty who insisted we got cats, so if there's a funny smell, it's almost certainly from HIS cats so he has to clear up!), which he did, but he hurried off to work straight after with a "oh the carpet may need a little clean" over his shoulder. So in I went later on with bucket and started to scrub, and only belatedly realised the fecking carpet was moving... maggots.... Briefly considered claiming MS and leaving it for when he gets back from work but the very thought of them in there all day was too much to bear. Anyone want 2 cats? Free, I'll even pay the postage...)

luckywinner · 26/06/2009 16:12

Today I am feeling very sick so feel safe enough to post a tentative hello!

Also I went to ds - 4 first school concert this afternoon and had to hide in the back to surreptiously wipe the tears from my eyes. I am an emotional wreck!

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 26/06/2009 16:24

Hi Lucky glad you popped along to this thread, makes it feel real doesn't it?

Hello to everyone, there's so many on this thread now!

I'm starting to panick about every little ache and pain. Can't wait for my scan. 13 days and counting! My first midwife appt is 1st July.

Is anyone else on this thread considering a homebirth?

Hi all..
This ms is resally taking it out of me.. as I reacall with the other three it didnt kick in until about 8 weeks and was only when I woke up or ate a certain food..
This time I had nausea before i even tested (two days before i tested) and it is getting worse and worse each day!!.. Even throwing up some days .. which only did once with each of the toerrh pgs and it was evening times when I was exhausted ..
Ths time straight after breakfast.

Cant believe the tiredness either.. I am wishing my scan would come round as everyone keeps winding me upa bout twins.. as apparantly the older you are adn themmore children you have the chances of twins increase!!!! Atleast we already have the seven seater!!!
The army have told us today that our request to move into a 4 bedroomed house has been approved. we have seen the house it is nice.. about 10-15mins from where we live no in the car which means DH wont be able to walk to work anymore, soe we need to buy a cheap runaround for him .
On monday i will be booking the removals for september. DH goes away on sunday for 5-6weeks, he may get a few weekends home he has informed me.. bt he has booked our pre march out for while he is away and I like the house to be immaculate for that.. so I will be busy busy looking after the three children and sorting and scrubbing.. oh and looking after the dog..

The march 10 thread is now starting to take off which moves us closer a moth which is good..

Have a good night /weekend all and take care..

Sorry for the long post.x

laurawantsababy · 26/06/2009 20:57

Hi all, I bought myself a fan today! I havent been bothered by the heat but it does feel very muggy today.

Im 9 weeks on Sunday and my ms has got better this week. I do still get the odd wave of sickness but nothing like it was last week.

Boobs are bigger and my stomach is still growing! It could be all of the malteasers I have eaten this week!

becks130 · 27/06/2009 00:00

Hi all,

It's VERY late but I thought I would update you on my scan, It all went well and I have been dated at 5 weeks + 2 which is more than I thought. We saw the heart beat which was great and was VERY shocked to see that my PCOS has cleared up so much that my overies look healthy!!

I'll catch up properly tomorrow. Night Night

CaractacusPotty · 27/06/2009 20:28

Great news, Becks. And about your ovaries! Fantastic!

Good news too, twoplusone on the house. Shame your dh won't be able to walk to work.

totallyandutterly - there's no chance I would be allowed a HB , but both my sisters had one for their dc2's and both said they were far far better than their hospital deliveries. I'd say go for it if you can!

laurawantsababy - humid?! Try up here! Flipping freezing! As predicted it rained away at the Highland Show. Never mind, the boys were amused by the various tractors and I only had to get dh to stop the car twice on the way up as I thought I was going to chunder.... Off for a hillwalk tomorrow so no doubt it will rain again...

Pops78 · 27/06/2009 22:20

Hi Everybody,

That's great news becks so are u going to put your due date up now then :-)

The last 2 days have been hell. When people were talking about tiredness I was like yup I feel very tired, and I did. But the last 2 days have felt like I went 12 rounds with Tyson or like flu without the rest of the symptoms. Nothing would make me feel better and then as devotion noted I suddenly had a massive cry and thought still zonked did actually make me feel bit better.

Re: the MS I am now 7 + 1 and have also got more nauseous the last couple of days, can't eat. Still no actual sickness though. This weather is awful this evening and makes me want to get in bed even more...

Stumblebum · 28/06/2009 08:09

I've not posted for ages as I've been feeling wobbly - convinced myself that something was wrong as I'm nowhere near as sick as in previous pregnancies.

Anyway, have given myself a good talking to and feeling more positive. I am 9 + 4 now and can't wait for a scan! It's frustrating that it all seems to have changed since last time - I haven't seen a midwife/had any contact from the antenatal team yet! Apparently I will hear soon the GP tells me, am just impatient and want a scan date for my diary!

It is great to read everyone's news - there are so many of us now it's hard to keep up!

applesaretheonlyfruit · 28/06/2009 09:26

Hi everyone. Great news on the scans.
I went to St Georges for a scan on Thursday and they decided I was 5w4d (I calculated only one day more). They found a gest sac and yolk but no baby yet. So no heart beat. I am going back a week on Monday when I am 7w1d. Bit disappointed and now convinced there will be no baby but another blighted ovum.
I don't have as many abdominal cramps now, but still have sore boobs. It probably takes time for the raised hormone level to go down.
I know the heartbeat developes, usually, between 5 and a half and 7 weeks, and with my dd, they saw it at 5w6d. So I'm not hopeful.
I think someone wanted to know about getting a c section. I've had two electives. Lovely. That was at the Chelsea and Westminster, where they have one of the highest rates in the country. No one bats an eyelid, consequently, when you ask for one. ie, Consultant says, "Can you tell me why you have asked for a c section?". Me, "Not madly keen on giving birth through bottom". Consultant, "OK".

becks130 · 28/06/2009 10:03

Morning all,

applearetheonlyfruit good luck with your next scan, I'm sure everything will be fine.

I have felt terrible for the past few days, the nausea has been constant and this heat is not helping I am going to try acupunture as I have heard that it is fantasic for MS.

I have to go to a christening today and really not looking forward to it as it is an hour drive away and I can't even handle a 10 min drive at the moment

I hope that all those who feeling ok enjoy the weather xx

nictorina · 28/06/2009 10:40

Hi everyone Hope you don't mind me joining in?

I'm 5+4 with my first baby - and first ever pregnancy. I'm due 25/02/10. I'm so nervous and just want to get the first scan out of the way so I can relax a bit!

So far I have had:

A bit of nausea (made soo much worse when in a car and have never had motion sickness before!)

Sore boobs - OH is convinced they are bigger. They do look rather large today!

Hunger... god the hunger! And MIL (who OH delightfully blurted out pregnancy to after we decided it was a secret) is helpfully reminding me that I shouldn't eat for two and her daughter didn't eat much etc etc. I'm not eating THAT much more but I am flippin starving!

Tiredness - but we have moved house this week too so could be that.

I'm worried though that I should be feeling more. I feel bloated, hormonal and crabby but shouldn't I be exorcist puking by now?!

Also, have had cramps on and off for about 10 days now. No bleeding though apart from 5 mins of the lightest, blink-and-you'd-miss-it, pinky discharge a week ago. D'you think that was the implantation? Or should I be concerned?

OK I will stop rambling now!

Congrats to all xxx

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 28/06/2009 12:21

Hi Nictorina, I'm due 26th Feb and I feel same as you. Although I have woken up feeling quite sick today, I feel hungover but haven't drunk since I found out I was pregnant! Also keep being sick in my mouth (or as Michael McIntyre would say 'I've just been sick in my face!!') which is delightful. But no actual throwing up and certainly nothing exorcist stylee so looks like we are pretty much at the same bit!

nictorina · 28/06/2009 12:30

Ah that's relieving! My OH doesn't get why I'm so nervous, he is ridiculously laid back! Grr!

I felt hungover yesterday morning too, although I haven't touched alcohol since before my BFP either! I did go out on Friday night though and not get to bed until 1.30am, but it felt like 6am, I was so tired! I had to go to bed at 10.30pm to make up for it. Rock and roll!

twoplusone · 28/06/2009 12:59

NIctorina- congratulations and welcome. I am due the 12th feb with number 4 have been sick twice.. which is once more than I was with any of the other pregnancies.., so nothing to worry about on that front hun.. some people are sick some arent hun x.

The state of my house is really starting topiss me off but i cant seem to muster the energy to attack it.. all the clothes that have been washed this week are in piles on my bedroom floor. I really ned to tackle othe house.. have told my DD that once we have dropped DH off, got the biys to bed then we are going to do a amjor operation tidy up.. then I can do a major clean during the week.. Cant wait to move so i can actually fit my kids and all there stuff into the house.!! Oh and have a sort out of all the toys that have been broken or that they dont play with.

Dh and I went into the loft yesterday and i just turned round and came back down.. to many boxes of old clothes etc to go through.. that we just keep moving from house to house with us.. You would think the fact that we have done 4 moves since nov 06 that clutter and crap would have gone....

Must go and check on the roast..

mawbroon · 28/06/2009 13:16

I was UnderWraps.

But I'm not now.

Can't be arsed keeping it a secret any more!

twoplusone · 28/06/2009 13:27

Well done mawbroon.. I admire anyone who can keep things secret like this .. I canbaout other people.. but just not about myself...

devotion · 28/06/2009 13:34

Becks130 - thats fantastic newss

applesaretheonlyfruit - sorry to hear didnt get to see the heartbeat but all pregnancies are different and they al develop at different rates, like you say up to 7 weeks for a heart beat so i'm sure at your next scan you will see his or her little heart beating away.

take care
