Due Feb 2010

Gidders · 22/05/2009 16:52

Afternoon,

I can't find a due in Feb thread, but I suppose it's very early still!

Got my BFP on tuesday, with a due date of Feb 3. It's still not quite sunk in - I've had to take another three tests since then just to check

I'm spending far too much time already planning for this baby when I should be working, please tell me I'm not the only one who is completely obsessed. And that I will calm down eventually!

Anyway, would love to chat with some other newly upduffed types.

i wish i was four months now so i wouldnt feel so s.i.c.k.

"arggheeeeugh"

long sigh...........................

feeling very sorry for myself.

can i please have one very large kick up the ass?

i know when i see that scan it will all feel worth it but i just need to get through the next four weeks.... still four weeks of feeling sick - yikes!

CaractacusPotty · 20/06/2009 06:51

I was thinking that too about a March thread, twoplusone. Partly, actually, because I wondered if I'd joined the right thread: ds1 was born at T+14 and ds 2 at T+12, so the chances of DC3 being born in Feb are in fact slim!

twoplusone · 20/06/2009 08:51

caractacus stay with us hun.. you could post on both boards... though..

Devotion here is yor kick up the ass.. TBH I think I need one too.. I cant be bothered to do anything. still getting the pains in my pelvic region friends have told me to go andget it checked at the hospital but I dont know what to do ..xx Just wish I could go to sleep and wake up whe the scan is due..

TBH it is once I have seden the baby that I truley beleive i am pg I find this stage an awkward stage as you are excited worried.. and full of what ifs.. well I am . maybe I should just take myself of to the hospital!!! i really dont know .

I am sorry I am moaning whinging cant make my mind up and this is on everything i life at the mo... Hoping i sort my self out before DH goes away next weekend!!! or it could be fun in my house for a month!!

devotion · 20/06/2009 11:25

twoplusone - thanks although it wasnt hard enough, can you try again please?

the pain you are experiencing, isnt it just all the area stretching to make room?

I had that a couple of weeks ago...

but i think you need to put your mind at rest so if i were you i would go and checked and see if they can scan you.

then at least you can relax.

with all this sickness i am experiencing i dont think i could handle worrying about pains on top

plus you may worry more when you dh is away and wish you had done it now.

take care
x

ps. i hope you all have a lovely weekend and fathers day. i've been to ill to go into town to get him anything. we normally just get the girls to make nice cards and buy a small token gift for them to give. the cards will just have to do but there is no way he can expect me to make him a fry up in the morning... stomach churns!

twoplusone · 20/06/2009 15:45

devotion dh is at work tommorrow he os on duty for 24 hrs.. so to make him feel better i told him the children and I will go to the cook house with him ofr lunch.. so he can have a sunday dinner with us.. I told him I would have paid for his as a treat but 1. I dont work so my money is his .. and 2. he gets fed for free tommorrow.,...

I still dont know what to dopart ofme wants to get in the car and go to the hospital, but the other part of me knows this is normal and to be honest i think I just want to see my baby and have reassurance that everything is ok..
Also DH parents phoned us today to tell us that Dh cousin had lost her baby at 22 weeks she went into labour yesterday and they couldnt stop it. It wasnt a total shock but earlier than her previous, out of 4 children now she has 2 surviving they are 17yrs and 13yrs.. the younges was born at 25weeks. The longest she has carried is 30weeks.. I really dont know what to say to her..

DEVOTION. HERE IS A BIG KICK UP THE|ASSHUNxx

devotion · 20/06/2009 17:40

DANKA SHUN!

I know you know its normal but I think it makes you feel better to know that if you really want to go and get checked then you can. So just keep telling yourself that you can if you want.

So sorry to hear about dh's cousin. Poor woman to have to go through that twice! But you need to remind yourself that you have already had healthy babies and it sounds like that poor woman has complicated pregnancies.

My sister lost her baby this year day before her 20 week scan. We all had our hearts in our mouths from the beginning of her pregnancy because she has lost a few babies and there always seem to be complications. She does have one son.

It is hard when you hear these stories and people always seem to tell you when you really dont need it. I was told with last pregnancy about someone who lost their baby at 16 weeks and I was about 15 so needless to say I was on edge for weeks.

But every person and every pregnancy is different. If you have no physiological reasons to worry then you have to close your ears and just be as positive as you can because you've done it before and you will do it again next Feb!

CailinEireannach · 20/06/2009 19:54

Is anyone having any trouble choosing a maternity unit? I went for the most local one when I had my appointment with my GP and then phoned her last week to change. The reason I changed was because she seemed to hint that the other was a more "popular" choice, I thought she was trying to give me a hint. Now I don't know and I'm thinking of changing back to the closed one, 3 miles as opposed to 9 miles. What do you think? Anyone else as indecisive as I am?

CailinEireannach · 20/06/2009 19:55

...sorry that was meant to read "changing back to closer one" not closed - lol!

Doctorskidaddle · 20/06/2009 21:02

cailin - have you looked on the web for opinions aout each one? Asked other mums you know? Or maybe you could just ask your GP why she thought that one was better? FWIW I don't think there's a massive advantage to being 3 compared to 9 miles away - both are really close.

twoplusone - so sorry to hear about your DH's cousin - that is so awful. It is very humbling when you hear stories like that

devotion - lots of sympathy re sickness - it is sooo depressing, isn;t it? I had it really badly with DD and that feeling of waking up in the morning and immediately wanting to puke before you've even had a scond to think what day it is is just so awful. I haven't got it yet but I'm sure it will come

I am an emotional wreck and completely exhausted. You forget what pregnancy tiredness feels like, don't you? Was weeping without any reason at all just now and DH went out and got me some Lindt chocolate and a baby magazine - definitely in the good books!

twoplusone · 20/06/2009 22:09

Devotion - Thank you for your words of encouragemnt .. the kick up the ass that I needed...

I haven't felt any symptoms today, but it is so early for me still. Also, I remember getting trembly if i didn't eat regularly, so I have been making sure that I haven't gone more than 3hrs or so without eating.

When I miscarried before, I had pg symptoms, but then they disappeared abruptly followed by bleeding about three days later, so I am actually hoping for some morning sickness...

CaractacusPotty · 21/06/2009 08:38

twoplusone - that's terrible about dh's cousin, poor woman. I agree, though - seeing the baby doesn't make the worries disappear, but it does help. Hope you have a good lunch with dh today.

devotion - did dh like his cards? at the very idea of a fry up....

cailin - I'd definitely ask around if you know any other mothers, see what the opinion of the two places are generally.

underwraps - sending you lots of nausea vibes (in the nicest possible way )

NOTE TO SELF: if I want to keep this pg a secret I must not watch tv with anyone else. I am sobbing over the most ridiculous things - Peter Pan yesterday FFS!!!! dh working all weekend, so I think I'm going to take the boys swimming, hope the pool's quiet!

becks130 · 21/06/2009 18:43

Afternoon all,

I hope you are all enjoying fathers day, my ds drew my DH a lovely picture and gave him a card he went and picked himself, so cute!

Twoplusone sorry to hear about your DH cousin, I agree with everyone else it is very hard to hear something like this when your pregnant yourself.

mumoftwoboys how are you??? I also had a MC recently in April and can understand how you are feeling. I keeping telling myself that this time I am more positive but inside I am a nervous wreck, I have a dating scan on Friday and as much as I am looking forward to it I am soooo scared. Like you said there is nothing that can be done so try and relax and take things easy.

I am starting to get some symptoms now, very tired but finding it hard to sleep at night. Also I am feeling sick if I don't eat every few hours and as soon as I go in the car, bus or train.

Not a symptom in sight apart from the odd occasional little niggle in my tummy and in both sides, not really pain, just enough to make you stop whatever you are doing and think 'hmmmm.... What was that?' Is this normal at this stage (4 weeks).

Don't remember anything much about last pregnancy as I didn't even realise I was pg until 7 weeks!

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 21/06/2009 19:39

Hi all just checking in to keep this on my threads.

We told my family today but I'm still obviously worried incase have another MC. Let's hope not. Not telling DP's mum yet as she'll just fuss and tell me that I'll miscarry no doubt.

Symptoms wise I have sore boobs, cravings and an evil temper but that's about it for now.

Hope every1 else is doing well

twoplusone · 21/06/2009 21:23

I hope you dont think I was being insensitive about saying what happened to DHs cousin.. TBH I didnt really think when I posted it I should have thought really and not posted anything about it on this thread sorry..

I am going to take myself to the docs tommorrow and see if they can fit me in re the pains which seem to be easing, and the shakes I keep getting.. TBH not sure what is in my head and what is real,, I realy hate making a fuss over nothing.. But I did have alot of probs in my first pg..( but later on into the pg... and dd was and is fine now)
But the other two have been normal healthy pgs.. Sorry there I go again.. i just find t eaasier to vent on here than in real life.. would rather everyone thinks it is hunky dory here on my land.. as i hate people faffing about over me.. etc.. sorry.. waughling away as usuall..

Hope all the DPs and DHs had a great fathers day, my DH loved his cards and enjoyed lunch with the kids.. But then he dropped us of at hime and went staight back to work.. he finishes his duty at 8am then has to go straight to work so I will see him tommorrow night,, or before depending on what happens at the docs..

Going to miss my DD this week too as she is going on a school trip tommorrow till friday, and activity week, she is going to love it and have a great time.

Right i will close before i bore you all sorry .. and hope you are all feeling ok xx

motherof2boys · 22/06/2009 09:37

hello - am still breathing but have been really awful with flu thing. DH got back from his travels on Saturday and has been a star. Might be feeling sick today but could be wishful thinking - a bit of sicky at least shows that might still be pg.

Am trying to deal with sicky differently this time - with DC3 (the one that died at 18/19 weeks) I really wallowed and ate loads of crisps, biscuits etc. It cost a fortune. I gained 2 stone! being pg so quickly again means that I can't afford to pig out - not really for vanity but for my health (we have 66 stairs here - yes I've counted!) so really trying to psych my way through it with bits of dried apricots etc. Also have treated myself to those expensive pregnacare supplements (as opposed to just folic acid) so trying to think that the cravings will all be taken care of with the 'carefully balanced' blend of vits etc. I don't need a sack of nuts as have had my 30micrograms selenium etc. Feeling more in control re fat face but it is so early days.

Before DC3 I never had one pregnancy problem other than sicky and I know there are those who have had much worse. Even though DS3 died I have two fantastic boys and am so grateful.

I hope that all going well with you all.

In terms of choosing place for birth - I would seek local opinion - also I would always choose the one with the best general medical facilities - eg A&E, neo natal etc. I have never needed them (thank goodness) but if the proverbial hits the fan the more facilties the better.

too long. sorry.

not really one for internet posting but you seem a really good bunch and v caring and kind and we all need a bit of that. thanks.

Gidders · 22/06/2009 10:25

motherof2boys - sorry to hear you're feeling so poorly - positive vibes coming your way

ugh ugh ugh to the morning sickness. I have been feeling awful and nothing I do seems to make a difference. The latest development is me waking at 4am with a horrible acidy stomach which means I have to eat or be sick. I'm feeling very sorry for myself.

We're moving house on Friday as well, and I have so much still to do. Gah.

Apologies for the whinge - maybe you ladies could send kicks my way as well!

Motherof2boys- poor u with the sickness, but as you say, it's good because it helps to know things are progressing.

I've been to the docs today and she wants me to have an early scan at 6 weeks ish on 9th July so that my mind can be put at rest before we go on holiday.

Very anxious today as DP's hours have been cut down at work, he got told when he went in this morning. So don't know how we will pay the mortgage!!

(hope you dont mind but i changed everyones due dates to 2010 lol!)

I am 5 weeks pregnant with my fourth baby, due 23/02/10. I was lucky enough to conceive on my first cycle after a miscarriage.

I have a scan booked for the 3rd of July, just to make sure all is well after the mc/ looking forward to it, in a totally nervous teary kind of way.

I am over the moon to be pregnant again, but also feeling very emotional about it today. Might be something to do with not being able to sleep the past 3 nights! This tearyness is very not me, so hoping it passes soon.

How is everyone else doing?
