Due Feb 2010

Gidders · 22/05/2009 16:52

Afternoon,

I can't find a due in Feb thread, but I suppose it's very early still!

Got my BFP on tuesday, with a due date of Feb 3. It's still not quite sunk in - I've had to take another three tests since then just to check

I'm spending far too much time already planning for this baby when I should be working, please tell me I'm not the only one who is completely obsessed. And that I will calm down eventually!

Anyway, would love to chat with some other newly upduffed types.

Hi All,

Maybe I am being a paro first timer but the cramps I have been getting are constant and uncomfortable. It really does feel like my period is about to start though I have had no bleeding. Do you think I should go to the doctor? If so, I imagine he will simply refer me to an epu to check, which at 6 + 3 means a vaginal ultrasound, can anyone tell me about that? I am worried it is invasive to the pregnancy. Oh dear, am I being a drama queen! Thanks for any advice :-)

ktpie · 17/06/2009 09:13

Morning everyone,
Pops - speak to your doctor if you are worried, he might be able to put your mind at rest and if he does want you to have an ultrasound they will be able to tell you the risks so you won't have to have it if you aren't happy.

Devotion - yes I have to eat non stop as well, problem is I don't fancy anything, or if I do it isn't something I have in.

phee96 · 17/06/2009 09:15

Hi everyone, I've added myself to the list. Got a BFP last night. I've used an online calculator to get an estimated due date and it's 20/02/10 so I'm only 4 weeks pregnant at the moment. DH and I have a DD who is 6mo.

Hi ktpie, thanks so much for your words of advice. I will contact the doctor then and see what he says.

Congrats Phee 96 and all the other newbies, can't believe how many of us there are and as someone else said before, still no Valentines babies expected.

Have a great day all.

Bettymum · 17/06/2009 09:34

Hello ladies,
Thank you for your cheerful words but sadly the bleeding got heavier and heavier...and I have miscarried
I am back at work today, haven't told my boss yet. We phoned round all our family on Sunday and told them all (parents and six lots of brothers and sisters) the good news, then we had to phone them all back last night and tell them the bad news. The doctor said that it just wasn't meant to be this time.
Anyway, wishing everyone else happy, healthy pregnancies and lots of lovely babies! xxx

becks130 · 17/06/2009 11:18

Hi All,

Bettymum I am so sorry to hear your news, I miscarried 8 weeks ago and it was the hardest thig I had to go through, I am here if you need to talk but just take one day at a time x

I can't believe it I woke up this morning and my boobs are HUGE!!!! and I'm starting to feel sick. Any other day would be fine but I have my end of course exam today and I am really panicing, I haven't had much time to revise and I am feeling terrible today

devotion · 17/06/2009 11:45

Bettymum -

I'm so sorry to hear that, I can't imagine how you must feel. Sending you a great big massive warm cuddle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I know you probably went to work for some distraction or because you are autopilot but maybe take the next two days off and just really relax and get dh to look after you when he is home. You need to time to get over this and your body must be tired as well as your mind.

Do you work full time, if not can you ask some friends to help out with your little dd? This is why I think its good to tell your close friends as soon as you find out because if anything happens they are there straight away to help.

Take your time and we are all here to talk to you.

Lots of love
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Doctorskidaddle · 17/06/2009 13:22

bettymum so so sorry - how awful for you. Do you feel OK physically? Obviously not emotionally. Would some time off work help or do you need to be doing something. Thinking of oyu xx

motherof2boys · 17/06/2009 15:01

bettymum - I am with you.

Bettymum · 17/06/2009 15:52

Thank you all, I am feeling OK - much better than Monday and Tuesday. I do work full time, and I thought I'd better go back in to the office. I told my boss and another colleague, they were very sympathetic and said if I needed more time off then that would be fine. I'm just takiing it one day at a time at the moment.
DH is off to France for a few days tomorrow but my mum's not far away if I need help. DD is actually a huge comfort, she is still little enough to like cuddles so I've been cuddling her a LOT.

flyingcloud · 17/06/2009 18:16

Oh Bettymum - I am so so sorry for you.

I hope this isn't really insensitive - due to my brown spotting last week I was sent for an early scan which was today (thought I was 7+1) and everything seems to be going OK! The doctor dated me at 6+5, giving me a due date of 08/02/10. My birthday is 12/02 so I hope that it all sticks and I get a nice birthday present!

Massive, massive relief for us. My poor DH was in bits before hand. I've heard say that a heartbeat at 6 weeks means the risks of a mc go down a lot - does anyone know by how much or am I really jumping the gun?

Saying that I am still thinking of you guys who have had a really rough time. xx

devotion · 17/06/2009 19:12

Flyingcloud - thats a relief for you.

You never know now, you may have to share your birthday

Pops78 · 17/06/2009 19:13

Am thinking of you Bettymum. I am really sorry your going through this but so pleased you have a lovely little one to cuddle already. xxxxxxx

makingafamily · 17/06/2009 20:15

Hi Bettymum so sorry for you and your family xxx

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 17/06/2009 22:26

Hellloooooooooo just got my BFP tonight- I'll be 4 weeks on Friday, so due 26th Feb, could I join this thread please?

I already have 1 DS aged 13 months and I had a MC in April so a bit nervous about everything. Happy though and having lots of implantation cramps like I did with DS (and didn't with MC).

So excited to be on this thread!!!

Bettymum, I'm really sorry about your loss. And you were on the conception thread too so it feels like an awful lot of planning has sadly come to this.

If it is any consolation, when it happened to me, the next time I got pregnant, I knew the chances of it happening twice were a lot less.

Take care of yourself.

Ruby01 · 18/06/2009 10:56

Dear Bettymum

I am so so sorry, its an awful thing to have to go through, but you will get through this. Its one of those terrible things that happen and happens much more often than you would think

Big Hugs to you

CaractacusPotty · 18/06/2009 12:55

So sorry Bettymum

Just joining in the thread. I'm actually a namechanger - but some of my family use MN and I'm not ready to tell them the news yet!

I have 2 boys, 4 and 2 and my due date is 23rd feb. Actually ahve been feeling sick since a week before my AF was due, so my dates may be wrong (or it's twins - eek)

Hello again, and thank you so much for your messages. Sorry for those of you who have been in the same boat. It's funny when you start to tell people, I've had people say, oh well I've two, or my wife had one, or my best friend had one...and all of these people have gone on to have more DCs. So, I think it just wasn't meant to be this time and the one thing that I'm thankful for is that at least it happened early, I can't begin to imagine how awful it would be to have a late miscarriage. It's still very to have had an early MC but I just have to focus on the future and hope that we are lucky enough to get pregnant again and have another DC. So, I think I will hop off this thread and leave all you preggy ladies to it. Wishing everyone health and happiness x
