Morning all...

I had a lovely day yesterday as well.... my dd has been telling dp about all her new friends.... Her new friends not my new friends!!! So sorry idob about her refering you you as "that one over there"... How rude!!

DS slept all the way home so we didn't stop and I got home at 8.45!!! Great I thought until he decided to be up most of the night!!! So we are tres tired in the bump household today!

I need to change my name!!

bumpsnowjustplump · 24/05/2009 07:52

how is this one for size????

bumpsnowjustplump · 24/05/2009 08:45

I am going to go and see my new niece today so must get organised and get into town to get her something (why didn't I think of this yesterday?) Right one more coffee then get ready...

By for now!!

glaskham · 24/05/2009 09:33

Morning!!

Meet-up was fab- had a lovely time!!

LB- your DC's are just beautiful!! DD is very very cute- cant remember my 2 at that age any more!!

Kay- your DS's are adorable!! such little cutie's!! DS1 behaved himself considering he's a boysterous little man- hewas ever so cute when shouting 'LB's DD, coooooome baaaaaack!!'

Diege- was lovely finally meeting in RL- your bump isn't massive at all!! I was that size at around 26wks i'm sure!! I was definatley bigger than that the day i had DD2 @ 32wks PG!!

IDOB- hope the house move went well in your absence!! Hope you fine somewhere to use your laptop before tues- how will you cope otherwise??

Sorky- How cute is DD!!?? I was telling DH about her hair- its just so cute!! And thanks so much for the clothes- there was twice as much as i expected!! The DC's Got very exited when DH brought the bag in last night, They helped me look through it all!! There's some really beautiful outfits in there!! and lots of sleepsuits which is brilliant!! Thankyou, can you email me your address please? [email protected].

Isn't it so strange that we now actually 'know' each other in RL too!! I mean we share so much on here- its nice knowing we are all real etc!!

Tink- pic is definatley needed!! Enjoy your evening tonight!!

GYo- we had this discussion yesterday: how do you say your MN name? is it pronounced 'GeeWhyOhh' or 'GeeYo'??... hope the BBQ goes well, weather is lovely here- hope it is for you too!!

Moosy- yay for 12wks!!

STT- booooo for not coming - but we understand! such a shame you couldn't come- was looking forward to meeting you in RL... glad you've got cars sorted, what did you go for then?

Star- hello, sorry for the bad night... it is tough to leave them, especially after what you've been through with DD already- think i'm the same with DD2 'because she's tiny' etc...

Ses- hello- hope you enjoyed yourself at the wedding!!

have been writing this for too long so have probably x-posted!!

GYo · 24/05/2009 09:34

oh and for everyone wanting to see pics- i will add the few i managed to sneak in betty's (was supposed to be phone free) onto the FB group.

SesHasFinallyBecomeAMum · 24/05/2009 10:08

Hope you have a great BBQ, GYo. It is a beautiful day for it

Did someone take photos yesterday?

We're going for lunch at my parents today. My younger brother will be there too.

DS slept from 4.30-7.15 but then woke up wet with a leaky nappy. I made DH get up and help me change & bath him. DH then went back to bed and is still there!!

SesHasFinallyBecomeAMum · 24/05/2009 10:10

X-posted Glask! Will look at photos on FB later

GYo · 24/05/2009 10:20

wow what a post Glask!

Its G-Yo, as in Gee, yo. Came from my original name of Giraffe Yoga.

Sorry Im sure i've crossed posted with lots of you

OP posts:
glaskham · 24/05/2009 10:27

felt i had to include everyone!!

i thought it was G-Y-O... but Kayz thought it was G-Yo... so we spent about 5mins considering the options!!

Kayzr · 24/05/2009 10:31

Yay no pics of me!!!

It is so hot here and I want to put my 3/4 length trousers on but they are maternity ones!! Grrrr!!

glaskham · 24/05/2009 10:34

right i'm still in PJ's- and need to go and buy a few bits and bobs to last till my shopping arrives on tuesday... the DC's are in dressing up costumes- DS is a pirate, and DD1 is a fairy- best get myself dressed then fight them into some proper clothes...

then i should be back later, gonna try my luck for a nap this afternoon though- had a bad nights sleep with migrane (though it went with them painkillers LB- thanks!!), and during the night all my sinus's flared up and i've got awful pains across my face, almost feel bruised across the nose, and have a blocked nose and sore throat... then to top it all off AF arrived yesterday- and is so heavy!!

Kayzr · 24/05/2009 11:49

I forgot to tell you I rang the HV on Friday and I have to write down all the milk DS2 drinks in a 24 hour period. So we are doing it today and he has only had 7oz. He doesn't seem to be hungry though and he sleeps through every night.

He is now eating some toast so I am hoping HV will say it's all ok.

Diege · 24/05/2009 12:13

Afternoon! Great piccies GLASK! DDs is convinced the sleeping baby by my side is the baby in my tummy, and is very confused! It doesn't seem like it was just yesterday!
Sorry for migraine GLASK, hope you get some respite today.
KAYZ, stop all those bad mummy thoughts! Freddie was delightful, and very cute the way he loved LB's dd. He reminds me very much of dd2 at that age, and he did well not to be overwhelmed by all the new people and babies. We'll def have to meet up at some point in August when we're in Whitby, also GLASK if you're round the Liverpool area give me a shout and we could try that underwater st place we talked about a while ago.
LB you are not in the least bit plump, or lardy, or anything like that
SES, enjoy your lunch today
GYO, good luck for the BBQ!
I've started to think about my labour bag etc, and have realsied that I have no nb babygrows, justs lots of vests in that size! Have sent dh out with instructions, so may get something back resembling babywear!
Right, they're back! Speak later x

Diege · 24/05/2009 13:09

No sleepsiots in the shop apparently . Never mind, dh has been great today, tidying kitchen and has now taken all 3 dds out for picnic. Hope to get some more tidying done here and perhaps start on my job's list.
Hope everyone is out enjoying the good weather!

Moosy · 24/05/2009 14:23

Lovely pictures Glask, and glad you all had a nice time, the babies lying on the grass look lovely!

I was thinking about the southern meet up, if it helps anyone then perhaps we should think about August as well as July and also somewhere a bit further north would be no more difficult for me to get to, don't know about anyone else? I could go about as far up as Birmingham...

Hope your heads feel better today Kayz and Glask.

LB, your name is better but still says you're plump which you clearly aren't!

It's lovely and sunny here today, even the DDs have got too hot and come inside! DH took them to get some bits for a BBQ earlier so I had a nice rest lying in the sunshine and he's promised to do all the food today too

juleswastink · 24/05/2009 17:53

hi

put pic on

glad u a;ll had a great time

hope u r all having good days
2 warm for me

made brackens new bedroom furniture today

off to party @ 7:45pm in a taxi getting ready in a min

glaskham · 24/05/2009 18:30

evening- been V.quiet on here today!! Hope its because the weather is so nice!!

I ventured to the shops but the fresh air didn't do much for my headache!! have been led on the sofa all afternoon in pain- stupidly forgot to buy more painkillers while i was out!! And only have asprin in the house which i can't take!! (thanks DH )

To make things worse DD seems very clingy- and is feeding every hour or so again, not sure why- may be the busy day yesterday thats just affected her- i've noticed when we've had a busy day she's clingy the next- suppose most newborns are at this point and she's only supposed to be 5wks old... so would kinda make sence...

DH is on his way home now, i'm hoping to get pizza and chips in the oven before he's back- but dont know if i can get the energy together!! I did manage to wash all the pots and clean the kitchen earlier- but made me feel faint and dizzy by the end of it!!... i'm just hoping it isn't a bug that i've passed on yesterday and its just a mixture of flared sinus's and first heavy AF in nearly a year!!

SesHasFinallyBecomeAMum · 24/05/2009 19:32

It has been a beautiful day

Lunch at parents was good although DS didn't settle v well. Came home about 5pm and I felt tired so had a sleep whilst DS slept on DH. Then woke up with a headache at 6.15pm. Have drunk some water and had some chocolate and feel a bit better.

Looking forward to BGT. I think the little girl Natalie, is adorable.

Glask - hope you feel better

Enjoy your evenings everyone!!

kookykid · 24/05/2009 22:38

Glad the meet-up went so well. The kids all look scrumptious and you all look lovely. Weird to think you've all met - how long did it take to work out everyone's real names?!

Been beautiful here today. Even had the paddling pool out for DD - she was knackered at the end of the day! Hope you've all had lovely weather too. Long may it last! (Although not TOO hot please!)

Starshinetiger · 25/05/2009 07:16

Mornin' All. Hope you all had glorious days yesterday - today should be fairly nice here too (fingers crossed). DS wanted to be outside all day yesterday - Kooky, am of your paddling pool - think we may get one sharpish!

Well, am on the early morning shift here - been up since 5.30am with madam - well, really been up most of night. Yesterday had had enough and decided we would try a bottle at last feed to see if that helped her sleep. She woke at 10.40pm (after just over 2 hours sleep) and was having none of it - did manage to get her to take about 1oz, but that was it - aaaaagh! Got her back down about 12ish, then she was up at 2am, 3.30am and 5.30am - am on my knees here, so if anyone has any suggestions am open to anything! Trouble is, she is being sicky too - think she may have mild (or maybe silent?) reflux. May well end up at docs tomorrow, as I can't go on with it like this.

Anyway, onward and upward. She has had a poo now, so may go back to sleep in next couple of hours - if so, I will go back with her and get DH up to look after DS.

At least the sun is shining - does make a difference

Love the photos of the meet-up by the way. The children look fab and you all look glam - glad I didn't make it now, I'd have been the frumpy one in the corner

Re. meet-up, have had a look on a map and Derby or Nottingham seem much more central across all of us, but don't know how easy they are to get to - would either of them be better for a national meet-up.

Will repost the Reading suggestions in a mo - I would be happy to host a meet at our house, or there are plenty of child friendly placed in centre - if we meet in summer hols time, they create a man-made beach in the centre, which is fab for children.

Right, enough waffling - DS is up and I'll need to get his brekkie.

Kayzr · 25/05/2009 07:22

Morning,

I could probably make Derby or Nottingham. I can't do after the 23rd of August as I am back at work.

I probably look silly and you will all laugh but I have given in and put my maternity crop trousers on! It is so hot here already!!

Hope you all have lovely days. Really tempted by the beachbut it means an hour on the bus!!

Starshinetiger · 25/05/2009 07:31

Finally found this - think it's the latest post on Reading meet up.

Reading
Saturday 4th July-sorky,kayz, moosy, GYo, Star
Saturday 11th July-sorky(tricky),kayz, moosy, GYo
Saturday 18th July-sorky, moosy, GYo, Star
Saturday 25th July-sorky,kayz, moosy, GYo, Star

Although I know Sorky that you said you can't come this far now.

We'll have to get our thinking caps on!

Kayzr · 25/05/2009 07:39

I can't make Reading either Star.

glaskham · 25/05/2009 08:15

I could possibly make nottingham... went there for a big social when i was going to be a surrogate... but would probs stay overnight as the train would take a few hrs... could maybe get a travellodge room - or if anyone wanted to share a room i'd be up for it!!

Diege- we're happy to meet up at underwater st sometime during june or july if thats ok for you?

Kooky- It didn't take long at all really- within a couple of mins i think we were all on RL names instead of MN names!!

off to look at prices to stay in Notts, and train prices to see if it actually is affordable- busy few months in the summer...
