Right i am off now to pack and then leaving. Not looking forward to 5 hour drive though!!!!! See you all tomorrow!!!!

Sorky i have mailed you and left you a message on fb!!!!!!!!

SesHasFinallyBecomeAMum · 22/05/2009 08:54

Ooh! Look at you lot getting all excited about the meet up

Glask - think we're set for good weather so you should be fine.

My friends from York are down an we're seeing them today!! Yay!!
Also have an appointment to register DS birth at 2.30pm

Diege · 22/05/2009 09:02

Morning! Looking forward to York here too. I will be quite easy to spot I think as I will be wearing a bright pink/orange dress over black leggings. Forcast is for sun, so will probably be wearing sandals rather than my uggs, and also a cream cardigan type wrap thing as a coat (it will NOT rain!).
Raining here now actually, so the usual dilemma of coat when pregnant - I will be so pleased to be able to get back into clothes that actually fasten up the front.
Hope everyone is ok! Will be leaving here around 5pm for my train.

Diege · 22/05/2009 09:04

Hi SES! Just wanted to bend your ear about something. Re: ds's breech position, when do youn think he turned from head down to breech? Just curious about what you were told etc - did they suggest trying to turn?

Kayzr · 22/05/2009 09:04

Have a lovely time Ses!!!

glaskham · 22/05/2009 09:06

argh- its very exiting diege- i'll look for your pink/orange dress!! its not the best weather here today... but i think a walk into town and a bus-ride back will keep me sane with DS off- they are playing nicely ATM but it'll end in tears soon i know it!! I'm gonna do my tesco shopping online then will be getting the kids ready to go out...

Kayzr · 22/05/2009 09:08

Just wondering what Betty's will make of DS1!!! He is crazy this morning.

glaskham · 22/05/2009 09:41

well DD2 is very well behaved so she'll counteract his craziness if he's still like that tomorrow

SesHasFinallyBecomeAMum · 22/05/2009 09:46

Diege - I had MW and consultant tell me between 32 and 36 weeks tell me he was engaged but I know he'd been in the same position since at least 30 weeks. They said in the end he'd just seemed comfy in that position. Whenever I tried bum in the air or gym ball he did seem to move, I think into "proper breech" but within half an hour he'd always go back. There was a definite solid lump in my right hand side which I'd always thought was the bum as they'd said he was engaged, IYKWIM. Obvious to me now with hindsight, it was a head...

They didn't suggest trying to turn as I was so close to EDD by the time someone (Nat!) realized. Also I think they were worried about waters breaking with the oblique position.

Sorry I'm not sure I've really helped. I do think you've still got chance for him to turn though.

SesHasFinallyBecomeAMum · 22/05/2009 09:49

Diege - lol at recognizing you from your clothes. What about your nearly full-term bump??!

Diege · 22/05/2009 09:53

Thanks SES, that's really helpful . The head is at the centre, just below boobs, bottom where you'd expect to find the head! Was oblique last week, so has done some moving around, but in the wrong direction (typical male ). Must try and stop worrying, as still just 35 weeks and as you say there's still time yet. Hope you enjoy your day with friends - you always seem to have a full social life!

Diege · 22/05/2009 09:53

Oh yeah!! I will resemble a pink/orange waddling balloon

juleswastink · 22/05/2009 10:07

Kayzr · 22/05/2009 10:33

I did Tink. It was a Rolls Royce wasn't it? What a waste of a nice car.

I'm looking at holidays for next year, hopefully somewhere abroad that is nice and warm. Any ideas? Not Costa Del Sol though.

lastboxoftampons · 22/05/2009 10:42

Everyone have a lovely time at the meet up! and safe travels!

off to New York again on Sunday for my last visit before the little one appears.

GYO - I'm sorry you're feeling down. I think you're doing a great job. As for feeding goes, I'm a firm believer in what's good for mummy is good for baby, so whatever you decide please don't be too hard on yourself!

Diege, no advice, but if it's any consolation, I have a feeling this one is breech too - despite the GP saying on Monday she thought it was his feet up by my right boob. TBH, I can't tell much about his position, I have no idea what I'm feeling for!

DH went out last night and despite saying that he wouldn't be late came in at 3am!!!! I was so annoyed with him, especially since his coming in inevitably woke me up! Of course he tried to cuddle me and I really don't like to be touched, breathed on, etc while sleeping, and then he promptly fell into a drunken deep sleep, complete with snoring, while I lay awake in bed. I did eventually cat nap, but couldn't get back to sleep completely Men suck! Although I guess I should get used to it!

Kayzr · 22/05/2009 10:42

Anyone with the GF book could you please post the info for a 5 month old please? DS2 just won't sleep at all during the day.

lastboxoftampons · 22/05/2009 10:52

I have it, Kay, but not with me here at work. If no one has by the time I get home tonight, I'll gladly post for you.

Kayzr · 22/05/2009 10:54

Thanks.

Ooooh just got a letter from PALS about me complaining about shit MW.

It says that they spoke to the MW in question about her BF advice and she has told them that she believed I did not enjoy BF and that buy day 5 my milk was not in properly and therefore she had to tell us to give him FF top ups. It also says that she stated that in her opinion a bottle does not ruin the latch that a baby has and only poor latching on by the mother does this. But she has recieved a written warning as my complaint was not her first and she is being sent on an advanced BF help course.

I am f*king livid!!! I did not enjoy BF, I was hardly given a f*king chance!!!!

GYo · 22/05/2009 11:36

Special thanks to Star and the message on FB. Will reply to that later too.

Thanks Tink.

This totally feels like it is going against everything I thought I would do with my DCs. But if it works then I'll give it a go. Saying that though DS2 has been asleep since 12!!

Diege · 22/05/2009 14:06

KAYZ, however frustrating, it does sound as if your complaint had a very good effect - may well stop someone else going through the same thing, so good on you. Re: the routine, have to say gf saved my life...don;t fight it
Hi TINKS! Good luck with perm! I too have 80s memories of perms, though was on me not my mum . I think my problem with them was that they took too well!
Hi GYO! Hope things are feeling a little better today - did you manage to talk to dh?
Right, better check train times for way home; had totally forgotten!

Kayzr · 22/05/2009 14:38
