GYo- dont believe that all their baby's are sleeping through either, they may be going from say 11pm feed to 5/6am feed? my nephew sleeps for that length of time and my sister says he sleeps through, i go to bed earlier and am normally asleep by 10pm, so the fact that DD2 goes to sleep between 9 and 10pm is brilliant, she will then go 4-5hrs before her next feed but then she'll be every 2-3hrly after then... Your DD is still very young and it is very rare for babies to sleep throguh before around 12 weeks!! aRuby is 13wks tomorrow and she's nowhere near sleeping through!! Obviously you know that breastfeeding is the best for your baby and thats why you chose to BF, some mothers choose FF because they think its easier, but it isn't always the case- different babies= different feeding etc. Sorry its making you feel so low- it would help if your DH would just sit with you and have a cuddle etc in an evening so you can have some 'wind down' time after your day and before bed... DIY can wait, you can't!!

glaskham · 21/05/2009 18:51

Right i'm not hanging round this evening- gonna do some ironing and decide on my outfit for saturday- much to DH's annoyance!!

juleswastink · 21/05/2009 18:55

gyo - sorry for feeling low.

bracken has been formula fed and i follow gf routines to the book.
bracken feeds 3-4 hourly and sleeps to gf sleep times.
she sleeps from 10:30pm to 7am
it is restrictive dont go out usually apart from dropping and picking dd1 up from nursery so works for me.
have enroled bracken in classes from sept when she will be 8 months.
sure you will find a way that suits you best.

kay well done you

i do aerobics twice a week. my tummy is going down dont think i have actually lost any weight!!

Kayzr · 21/05/2009 19:25

GYo meant to say that DS1 was FF and he slept through from 8 weeks(we were V V lucky), has always slept anywhere and everywhere. My mum said he would sleep in a washing machine.

DS2 however was FF totally from 6 weeks and starting sleeping through at about 15-16 weeks. Will sleep nowhere during the day except on me or DH, occasionally in pushchair.

So your DD might not sleep any better if you do decide to FF.

GYo - just typed extra long message on here to you, but it would not let me post - kept timing out, so have sent it to your inbox on facebook - hope that's okay!

MinM - CONGRATULATIONS on arrival of Evan - fab news!

Kayz - yay for weight loss, that's fab! Can post my bedtime routine for 2 tomorrow if that helps, but DH in for first evening this week, so off to snuggle him!

Diege - yay for baby turning, boo for breach - get thee on that there ball girl, or scrubbbing floors, or sommat! Did I mention 5 June is a great day for a birthday! (Actually it's not - you inevitably get exams on it, but you do have some chance of sun )

Glask - amazed at all you got done today with 3 children - I aspire to be that good! and at your cats being rehomed. that they've gone, but that it's best for you and DC

LB - did you get news on your paed appt for DS yet? Hope it comes through soon.

Ses - well done with DS, sounds like you're doing fab, as is he. Feeding will get better - there is a reason that on surveys they ask - was DC bf at birth and then ask - was DC bf at 6 weeks - first 6 are hardest, but it is also v. rewarding.

IDOB - sorry for feeling ill, glad feeling better.

to Sorky, Moos, LBOT, Gruff, Jules and anyone else I've missed.
Enjoy your meet up everyone!

lardybump · 21/05/2009 21:16

evening all... This will be the last time I speak to you all before i meet you face to face. I am leaving at midday tomorrow so wont be online before that and will be in york tomorrow night...

idob i will ask directions to roundtree park when I get there tomorrow, so if you see a rather stressed lady with her dd and ds come and say hello!!!

GYO ds doesn't sleep during the day either and it is very tiring. He found his own routine eventually, keep it up your dd will get there.... I gave up BF with dd and she still didn't sleep in the day and fussed over the bottle... Could you maybe try winding dd before feeding her (especially if she has been crying for a long time) as ds fusses when he has trapped wind!!

lardybump · 21/05/2009 21:26

DP is about to colour my hair so if it all goes pear shapped I am going to look a right knob on Saturday... He he but never mind I need my gray hairs to be covered up dont I

idreamofbeanie · 21/05/2009 21:42

Just popping on quickly between packing boxes. DP, FIL and a friend are moving all my stuff to my new house while I am having lunch in Betty's - hooray ! This being pregnant lark is a great excuse for getting out of carrying boxes .

LB - Rowntree park isn't too hard to find. Go past Cliffords Tower, over the road, walk over the bridge, cross at the traffic lights and follow path down to riverside then just walk along river away from town centre (past the caravan site) until you reach the park. See you on Saturday!

Gyo - sorry you are feeling blue today. Obviously I have no advice but you seem to be getting great advice from the other wagoners.

Kayz - congratulations ! That's fantastic! I'll def be signing up for WW at the end of the year.

Glask - did you get the ironing done yet ? Feel I'd better go and pick out something decent for Saturday now or I'll be the scruffbag of the group. Hmmm what still fits.....

idreamofbeanie · 21/05/2009 21:44

Oh dear, I haven't had my hair cut or coloured for Saturday. Actually my eyebrows kind of need doing too. I'm really letting the wagon down. God knows how bad I'll look after the baby is born if this is my standard now .

Kayzr · 22/05/2009 08:02

Morning,

LB, See you tomorrow!!!!!

We had a pretty bad night here. DS2 woke at 20 to 4 and would not go back to sleep. DH got up and brought him downstairs and he finally fell asleep at about half 5.

Hope everyone is ok this morning.

juleswastink · 22/05/2009 08:20

morning hi kay sorry for bad night

lardybump · 22/05/2009 08:23

does betty's have a dress code? I can only fit into jeans and no smart tops!!

Kayzr · 22/05/2009 08:27

No it doesn't LB. Never seen anyone be refused entry.

glaskham · 22/05/2009 08:34

Morning-

Kay- sorry for a bad night- hope tonight is better so you're fresh faced for saturday and not feeling tired!!

LB- hope you have a safe trip and i'll see you tomorrow!! (not that you'll see this till after i've seen you)

IDOB- dont worry about your hair- i wouldn't have had mine done if it wasn't for my friend (who worked in the same salon as me) wanting me to do hers so i made the most of it and said i would if she did mine- then realised it was good timing for the weekend... decided to colour my hair last night too, but only because if i'm having it cut i may aswell go the whole hog!!

I finished all the ironing last night- mine and Ruby's clothes all got done while watching my soaps... though another pile is starting already!! gutted!!

Ekk- i'm very exited for tomorrow!! It better be sunny as i've decided on my linen pants and sandals, will possibly bring my cardigain as a jacket.... if i was bringing the pram i'd have more options to bring a coat etc, but i'm having to put nappies into a tiny back-pack as it is... thats the only problem- what do the rest of you who use slings do for a day out?

lardybump · 22/05/2009 08:34

I will be leaving soon......... so excited!!!!!!!!

glaskham · 22/05/2009 08:35

i'm not gonna be dressed smart really LB- i'm gonna be comfy and casual!! actually unsure wether to wear a black top or an orange one.... hmmm- think white is bright enough so wont matter too much either way!!

Kayzr · 22/05/2009 08:36

i use a back pack too Glask.

Dylan has just eaten a piece of DS1 toast and jam!! Didn't notice he had got it until we saw jam round his mouth.

glaskham · 22/05/2009 08:37

I'm getting a tad nervous- but nore exited i think!!

Kayzr · 22/05/2009 08:39

it will be great!!!

i am really fed up with this laptop. Anyone know if it is possible to get keyboards for laptops fixed???

glaskham · 22/05/2009 08:40

well i dont have one, exept the DC's little ones... kept saying i needed to get myself a proper baby backpack to carry her bits in when i use the sling... i could go and get one today but it'd eat some of my spends for tomorrow.... think they're about £15 so i'd not be able to buy anything in york i dont think.... decisions decisions...

Kayzr · 22/05/2009 08:42

if you bring her stuff in a carry bag you can either put it on my pushchair or i can bring my backpack.

glaskham · 22/05/2009 08:42

it'd cost loads Kayz... my sister needed a tiny replacement part for hers on the bit to put the power supply in and it was gonna cost £200!!!

Kayzr · 22/05/2009 08:43

Thats rubbish!!

glaskham · 22/05/2009 08:43

its ok kayz, but thanks for the offer.... if i can fit it into the DC's tiny backpack i'll just use that, if not i think i'll take them all on a walk to get a new bag...

glaskham · 22/05/2009 08:46

i'll be needing a backpack at some point to carry her bits in. and DS is off nursery this morning because one of his blisters/coldsores has come up on his lip overnight!!
