Good investment buy there then GLASK!
Having odd period type pains - not contractions, just like the sorts of pains you get the day before period due. Have got to get through today as have promised dds visit to teddybear factory place for an outfit each for their bears!! You'd think I'd know, but would you take these pains as a sign of cervix etc getting ready, as opposed to pre-labour???

glaskham · 02/06/2009 10:15

i'd say maybe they were 'early-labour' pains.... i had what sounds like the same thing for 2 days before DD1 was finally born...

glaskham · 02/06/2009 10:16

oh and the 2 days i had them they got much stronger in the evenings, but never progressed enough for labour... then on night three i left it as long as humanly possible as i thoguht it was still the same then my waters went so i knew it was more then!!

sorky · 02/06/2009 10:19

hmm Diege, could be prelabour couldn't it?

Diege · 02/06/2009 11:50

Hmm yes I know . Pains seem to have moved to my back now, so will try trip out with dds but be prepared to head back early.

Kayzr · 02/06/2009 12:56

Right I have Ranitidine and domperidone...

I have to give him 0.4ml of the ranitidine 3 times a day and 2.5ml of the domperidone 4 times a day. It doesn't say if this needs to be before or after feed!!! What would you suggest???

sorky · 02/06/2009 14:06

Spent 2 hours diggin the Lottie and feel much better thanks LB. Everyone is chillin now.
Dd2 is dribbling a lot and chewing her fists. She's not hungry so I'm wondering if she's teething.
The other 3 didn't get their first tooth until 9-10 month.
No swollen gums I can see. She does have 3 White spots on her front tooth place.
Could it be a tooth or just milk spots?

Starshinetiger · 02/06/2009 14:07

LB, sorry DS still not putting in weight. Are the drugs ranitidine (retail name zantac - this is antacid ) and domperidone? these are what ds was on. ranitidine did help, but domperidone was stopped after about 4 weeks as not helping. hope they help you. have to say that formula did help too we started on morning andevening bottle top-ups (mind it was hypoallergenic formula and he has turned out to be dairy intolerant) which seemed to stay down better than bm. he was same as your ds - gradually justwent longer through from last feed and by 5 months was going through to 5am. you are doing amazingly well. paed sounds helpful too.

sorky - sypathies. we had similar - dd down by 8.15pm, but ds disturbed with cough at 9pm, then from 2am onwards, but i only have 2 to look after though. how is dd school trial going btw?

diege, ooh, could be labour? did you see my guess on sweepstake for this friday? (my bday - we do seem to have a lot of geminis on this thread!)

bumpsnowjustplump · 02/06/2009 14:08

Ds is doing the same he is like one of those really slobbery dogs. i think he is teething. DD didn't get any teeth until 14 months but I think ds will be much quicker....

julescantwaittoseebritney · 02/06/2009 14:15

bracken has white spots on her gums dont know if a tooth or not is chewing hands lots o

SesHasFinallyBecomeAMum · 02/06/2009 14:17

BNJP - neither has a critical recommendation of before or after food. With the ranitidine, logic would tell me to suggest either before or during. The domperidone really won't matter and you can give at the same time as ranitidine if easier.
Star - were you given any recommenfation with your DS?

Diege - if you're lurking, you'd better have that bag packed!

bumpsnowjustplump · 02/06/2009 14:19

ses the medicine is Ranitidine and domperidone...

I have to give him 0.4ml of the ranitidine 3 times a day and 2.5ml of the domperidone 4 times a day. It doesn't say if this needs to be before or after feed!!! What would you suggest???

Star paed doesnt think he is dairy intolerant as there has been no rashes or excema.. He also thinks ds's cough and all his mucas is due to the reflux have you heard of this before?

bumpsnowjustplump · 02/06/2009 14:19

sorry ses I haved done that twice!! dont know how....

bumpsnowjustplump · 02/06/2009 14:25

Diege · 02/06/2009 16:13

Hello! All calmed down here, just fatiqued from town trip with dds! Managed to get t-shirt for birthing in that actually covers bum (size 24 from Evans!!), new mascara, shampoo/conditioner, more baby bits from H&M, and nursing bras from M&S. I really credit you lot with inspiring me to try bf again; there's no way I weould have considered it before learning 'on the job' from everyone's experiences
Need to try and convince dds to tidy lounge -back later!

julescantwaittoseebritney · 02/06/2009 16:49

go diege with shopping

lastboxoftampons · 02/06/2009 17:18

Hello everyone!
Oh, I have so much to catch up on!
How was Betty's!?!!?

diege - take it easy! But pack that bag!!!

Got back from New York yesterday and am feeling very jet lagged But had a lovely time and was laden with gifts! My mom threw me a baby shower while I was there and we had to pack my suitcases (I anticipated there would be some stuff to bring back!) with vacuum sealed bags - and there's still mroe that my parents will bring over when they come visit. Had a hard time getting DH to focus on looking at what I brought back, but to be fair to him, last night was our first NCT class and perhaps it was baby overload One thing I hadn't anticipated - as I cleared a shelf-full of my lovely Molton Brown, Eve Lom, etc toiletries and relegated it to the very bottom single shelf of the cabinet in favor of the full line of Johnson's baby stuff, I suddenly felt very displaced. I'm so excited, but at the same time, felt slightly 'put out' does that make any sense!?!?!

Anyway, good to be back, hope I can join in again and that you're all well??
