blimey LB what a fright you must've got

Moosy you're not havin a lot of luck with the build either are you? hopefully they'll not be too affected.

Who the hell steals scaffolding for christs' sake? Grr!

Trying to eat healthily here.....struggling, have ducked kids outside to play. The bickering was driving me nuts!

Well ironing doesn't do itself, sadly.

Moosy · 26/05/2009 15:29

Well they have their suspicions about who did it. People who deal a lot with scrap and vehicles, and GenerallY unPleaSant thIngES. Of course nothing will be proved

SesHasFinallyBecomeAMum · 26/05/2009 16:12

Hello!! Surviving first day with DH back at work here...

Having said that, my mum's been round since 11am and my cousin arrived about midday so I'm not really on my own...

Bought the Babasling yesterday and DS slept for about 90mins in it this morning

LB - that must have been really scary. Hope everything's calmed down now and that the hospital appointment is constructive.

Moos - that's ridiculous and so frustrating, to put it mildly

IDOB - great timimg for your move on Saturday. Glad you had willing helpers.

Diege - how's bum in the air going? Hope he's moved...

twinkle1 · 26/05/2009 16:24

Sorry to crash the thread ladies!!!!
Calling Diege....... Twinkle here have sent you lots of email but suddenly dawned you are not at work so will not be getting them duh....... hope all is well get in touch and maybe i could drive over to you and we can catch up???
Twinkle

Diege · 26/05/2009 17:00

Hello! Back from cinema with dds - Coraline quite scary, and both were a bit freaked out with it, but of course are in raptures now talking about it
TWINKLE!!! Have been thinking about you for ages and realised I don't have your e-mail addy as just used to reply on old (now defunct) merseymail account! Would love to meet up before baby born - my new e-mail is [email protected]
SES, yes, trying the bum in air etc, but think that I just have a very active baby and a very roomy tummy as I'm sure it has moved all over the place since last appointment. Not sure what they do these days with unstable lie as they call it? Used to admit and then wait for baby to be having one if it's head down days, then induce. Not sure I like the idea of that! Sounds like you have a good support network there SES; before you know it you'll be flying solo
IDOB, was great to meet you too. You looked very accomplished with Freddie I must say
LB (sorry, I am so used to old name too!), does sound very scary with ds Really hopyou can get some assurances at next week's appointment xx
MOOS, on your behalf. It happens a lot round here - scaffolding, ladders etc, and how frustrating just as things were getting going. Assume your builders have insurnace so they can buy more? Have they given you any estimation of when they can get going again?

Kayzr · 26/05/2009 17:37

Hello!!

IDOB, You were a godsend!! He adored you and as we are so close together I hope that was the first of many meet ups!!! Don't worry about bruises, he is constantly bumping into things.

LB(too used to LB too) That must have been horrible, I often leave DS2 to cry when I know he is full and recently changed.

Moosy, that is rubbish!!!!

Hope everyone is ok today!! GF routine is not working here really. He is having none of it!!

idreamofbeanie · 26/05/2009 18:07

Kayz - I'm glad DSs had a good time and there was no permanent damage! Where do they get all that energy from? Now we know how close we are more meet ups definitely sounds like the way forward.

LB - that sounds really scary .

Moosy - that's rubbish

Diege - hope that crazy gymnast of yours settles into the head down position soon but it sounds like he's having far too much fun in there. Thanks for the 'accomplished' by the way .

Ses - I'm glad you like the babasling, my SIL passed hers on to me so I'm hoping it's simple and comfy to use. I did like Glask's celeb ring sling though.

Sorky - how did the healthy eating go?

I am really sore today - my stomach and ribs ache. I don't know if it's from cleaning the old house and unpacking (though I don't think I did that much) or just stretching but I think I need to go and have a warm bath.

juleswastink · 26/05/2009 18:20

hi

had hectic aft with mums and kids!!
too hot here again !!!
lb - wow that must have been scary
moosy - what a bummer!!

waited in really was hoping to get pics for brackens room got dd1s leappad games really good.

Moosy · 26/05/2009 18:21

All the stuff was stolen from the scaffolder's yard so not our builder's problem to sort luckily. Have spoken to them this afternoon and they've got enough sorted to start tomorrow - woohoo! Also because of the delay it means that DH will be free to come with me for the scan tomorrow afternoon

sorky · 26/05/2009 18:38

hehe I now read your posts with your voices inside my head. Before the meetup I had no idea how you sounded.

It's odd but in a good way

mommyinthemiddle · 26/05/2009 18:42

Hi all,
Sorry i haven't been on for a while, you forget about the sleep deprivation and exhaustion take it out of you!

DS (omg i have a DS still can't believe it) is doing really well, every night sleeps for a little longer now going 3 hourly which is better than the continues feeds in the first few nights. He has fitted in very nicely, and i am totally in love! Feel like we are complete now as a family. Feeling a little tearful past few days with hormones and sleep deprivation and not having own place is getting to me but DH is off and we are trying to get out as much as possible.

Sorry i haven't had time to catch up and read through but promise i will do asap. Sounds like you had a great time in York, wish we could of been there

sorky · 26/05/2009 19:15

How fabulous is that?

I do like him .

glaskham · 26/05/2009 19:26

Diege- yeah, get on with MIL and step-FIL really well- aren't i lucky!! nice HV and IL's!!

Sorky- Can you please email me: [email protected]

IDOB- Glad the clothes fit nicely!! And dont worry about taking care of your DD- it'll all come natural once she's here- trust me!!

I'm not sure if DD2 is starting to teeth... she's so unsettled today, dribbling lots (which she's never once dribbled before) has red cheeks, and keeps pulling my finger into her mouth and chewing it... surely its too early- the HV said to expect teething at her 'corrected age' so roughly between 8-14mths for her instead of 6-12mths...

I have done a fair amount today despite my migrane, washed pots and scrubbed the kitchen- cleaned out the fridge, hoovered all downstairs, completely blitzed the living room, put a couple of washer loads on.... need to do some ironing tomorrow and clean the bathroom- then only tidying the bedrooms to do on thursday.

Something isn't right with my hoover since hoovering though and i think its stopped picking up. DH is looking at it as i type. Got tesco shopping being delivered soon too.

Should be on in the morning for a little while, but wont be stopping again!!

hope you all had a good day.

Diege · 26/05/2009 19:49

Sorky, Bill Bailey...what can I say MOOS, are you another Bailey admirer?? . Am looking forward to my night with Simon...
MIM, you sound very contented, and the hormonal blues thing totally to be expected. Good that your family feels complete now
GLASK, dd2 could well be teething. The figures for term babies are only avergaes as you know, so nothing to stop dd2 on that front. Could be an on off thing though, with tooth taking a few months to actually 'show'.
And very that you are so blessed in the IL department .
TINKS, did your stuff arrive after all?
Have busy day planned for tomorrow, with mum and nephew (hell child) coming over, then going for meal at lunch time as it's my birthday (gulp, 39 tomorrow, hanging on to my 30s by skin of teeth!!). Am being a party pooper and have begged dh just to get a take-away that we can have in front of The Apprentice , just want to stay in at the moment!
Right, Simon is waiting for me .

sorky · 26/05/2009 19:51

Hmm Glask I was just thinking the same today. Dd2 has been dribbling and chewing her fists like crazy. I though it might be teeth too.
Have emailed you

sorky · 26/05/2009 19:57

I know Diege, I know I have enough shame for the both of us

He has an ascerbic wit that I love. Very intelligent and makes me laugh. He just does it for me if I shut my eyes

Moosy · 26/05/2009 20:03

I don't like BB in that way Diege, oh no! (not like you and trouser man!). He's just one of those people that I could watch/listen to forever!

sorky · 26/05/2009 20:09

BUT on a desert island could his troll-ship not woo you even a teensy bit?!
I mean if you hadn't had any in a while

Diege · 26/05/2009 20:12

MOOSY is clearly just in denial SORKY; I think you have serious competition there . I can't believe you would choose BB over SC - S has got the whole package in my opinion!

sorky · 26/05/2009 20:15

Well that's great then Diege

LOL, his pants are too high Diege, those pants are too big and not in the right area neither.

I think he's gay

Kayzr · 26/05/2009 20:18

Diege, I think Moosy might be right!! Though I can't talk as I am getting an unhealthy liking of Piers Morgan!!

Moosy · 26/05/2009 20:40

Sorky right now if I was on a desert island not getting any I would be a very happy lady! But alas, I fear you may be ever so slightly right .
