Hi GRUFF! Temp sounds pretty good where you are! No doubt we will have a thunderstorm or two here tonight judging by the sky!
Agree SES, I like the other dance act better too, although last night's one did seem much better than they did in the auditions. Thought the masks were good too KAYZ; shame they're packing it on after not getting through - think they'd at least make a living out of weddings/pantos etc!

Moosy · 25/05/2009 11:51

Not sure I'd be able to do Nottingham/Derby, it's a 3 hour drive or £70 on the train to Notts! I think Birmingham really is my northerly limit. Reading is nice and easy though, are we planning on doing both or just one central one? Confused

I used to have a baby Bjorn sling and didn't get on with it at all and as Sorky says they're not great for baby's hips. I like the look of the celeb one. Is the Coorie adjustable or is it just a loop, it's hard to see on the website?

Hope heads etc are all better today, glad your sinuses aren't so bad now Glask, sinus pain is miserable!

Not feeling too good today, had a headache last night from the heat/not drinking enough and it didn't go overnight, then I didn't sleep that well and have a stiff neck this morning so have re-seen my breakfast Trying to get through a pint of ribena at the moment to rehydrate but it's hard going. It's raining and cool today though so I should feel better soon and it'll give my pink shoulders and legs a chance to recover!

juleswastink · 25/05/2009 13:10

hi

had a pink babasling have sold now never found an need to use it. thought that i would use it 2 hold her when on swimming gallery watching d1 swim and to get dd1 into nursery. havent needed it leave dd2 in car while i get dd1 into nursery and my mum has dd2 while i take dd1 swimming or use carseat.

babasling is ver good tried it out with dd1s baby annabell doll. feels very comfortable, easy to adjust, u can use it in 7 different positions.

had party last night ok not quite as good as i was expecting!!
went on my own as mum on holiday so dh stayed to babysit.
2 other friends plus partner went so chatted to them both firends are heavily pregnant. just sat all eve not interested in dancing which i luv.
first couple left @ 10am and 2nd @ 11am i stayed till 12:30pm so i could do some dancing with bday girl.

Diege · 25/05/2009 16:59

Quiet here this afternoon! Hope you're feeling better MOOS and are rehydrated. Sun has disappeared here too, and looks like rain.
TINKS, sorry party was a bit of an anti-climax - hopefully you got a bit of a dance!; I admire your heavily pregnant friends for going at all - after 7pm I'm zonked out!
Right, back to the essays...

GYo · 25/05/2009 17:47

Hello

Sorry you are feeling crap Moosy, hope its better now.

Why dont we plan a southern meet for Reading in July or August and then think about a central one for later in the year?

Reading seems good so far for Star, Gruff, you, me, Tink, maybe LB? Think STT said she'd be able to make it?

Beach idea is good Star, dont know reading that well dso not sure what else to suggest. THought I am going shopping there soon so will look out.

Tink- sorry party wasnt as good as you'd hoped. Good to go out though anyway. PS love
the hair pics

BTW, I've only just got around to looking at the York pics, they are great.. Think I recognised everyone from other pics Really wish I'd made it!

Really muggy here, DD got really hot whilst out so Im letting her lie naked on her play mat. She is loving it!

Bath time now. Byeee

Morning! Hope everyone is well - seems like a Monday morning! Dds off for two weeks now, so going to see Coraline at the cinema, with the customary Mcdonalds thrown in! Feeling very tired after waking at 3 with serious heartburn, plus baby wriggling around like crazy. I can't distinguish between feet and hands so no idea what position he's in - will find out Thursday at midwives, but could turn several times before then so just trying to relax about it all. 36 weeks now!
Anyone else have the joys of half term to look forward to??

bumpsnowjustplump · 26/05/2009 09:14

Morning all. I dont know if I can make the reading meet up it will depend on finances...

We have given up on potty training for a while because we found it all to much!! We will be starting again when things calm down.

DS is still being very sick and so is feeding every two hours still (day and night) and is going through a stage where he wont let me put him down with out screaming hte house down. Which is very tiring... We have hospital appointment on Monday though so hope they can help us.

glaskham · 26/05/2009 09:33

LB- (sorry still can't get used to it...) sorry DS is still being sick, hopefully you'll get the right help and answers next week!! I dont blame you giving up on potty training- I found that DD1 wasn't ready until she was 2.5yo, and then when she was ready she was fully potty trained within 3 days!! DS was the same too, but he was younger- was very lucky with him!!

Diege- Half term here too- have today and tomorrow with all 3 DC's on my own then DH is off thursday through to monday and the in-laws are coming then too... Can't make underwater st in june on the days you said (in-laws here on 1st and DS back at nursery on 2nd), so will have to be in July once you're used to having 4DC's etc... i'm pretty flexible but we'll sort it once your DS is here.

I still have my flipin migrane- its blimin awful!! sinus's have completley gone down now thoguh so i feel loads better than the last 2 days. Have loads to do in preparation for in-laws arriving on thursday...

Oh and a bit of good news on my sleep front, DD dropped a feed last night and the night before... she's going from 9pm till 2am ish then till 6am ish... so its better than a 1,4 & 6am feed!! we're getting there!!

juleswastink · 26/05/2009 09:37

morning

wow diege not long now hope baby in a good position

glaskham · 26/05/2009 09:49

pics from york on wagon group on FB

Diege · 26/05/2009 09:58

BUMPS, know what you mean about potty training; tis very wearing. Because of dd3's constipation, and constant 'drip drip' of poo, I gave up yesterday and put her in pull ups (and she is 3.5 ). Have started again today now she's back at nursery . Good luck for hospital appointment! Your ds is so sweet, even though one old lady in Betty's gave me the full up and down thinking he was mine when I carried him downstairs for you .
GLASK, no worries about June. Sounds like you will be mega busy with IL's visiting. Do you get on ok?
TINKS, piccies of York are on wagoners fb page . Lol about staying in for parcels - I do a lot of that
Right, have just done some ironing, then spent 30 mins disentangling dd2's necklaces...next on list is changing dd3's bed (nappy accident) then shower, put clothes away, then out! Lovely sunny day here

sorky · 26/05/2009 10:09

Diege my purple coorie doesn't have size label in it, but the black one, which is a big for me, is a size 2 (measured when I was pg).
Purple one must be size 1 I'm guessing

Diege · 26/05/2009 10:43

Thanks SORKY! Think I'm probably in between a 1 and 2, so may go for the smaller and can always send back if it looks tiny

Diege · 26/05/2009 11:02

Have ordered

sorky · 26/05/2009 11:08

I think they are pretty god about returns when you've ordered whilst pg.
Iirc I told them I was pg and the extended the return period to after he as born.

idreamofbeanie · 26/05/2009 11:39

Hi and yipee - after a long weekend without MN I can finally log on. Okay so I am at work and have a hundred other things I should be doing but I have managed to squeeze in a quick read through.

I had a lovely time at the York meet up and it was great to meet some of you and have a cuddle with the LOs. I did have a complete block on everyones RL name when I first meet you all in Betty's and was worried I'd have to resort to MN names! Between that and the lovely danger mouse T-shirt I had to wear when DP packed all my clothes in the van I was sure I'd be banned from the wagon .

LB (sorry, can't get used to the name change) - your LOs are adorable and DD was so much fun I totally forgive her for calling me "that one over there" . In fact I came home saying I hope our little girl is just like her. Sorry to hear DS is still being sick, poor little mite. I hope the docs get back to you soon.

Kayz - DSs are fab and kept us all entertained. Sorry I kept letting DS1 crash balloon first into the crowds - hope he wasn't bruised when you got him home. I think I need more practice steering an excited toddler through the streets!

Glask - thanks for all the maternity clothes, they all fit and it's nice to have a bit more choice in the morning. DD2 is gorgeous and it was lovely to have a cuddle but I was nervous enough just holding her - I can't get my head around the idea I will soon have a little girl of my own and I'm going to have to look after her .

Diege and Sorky - it was lovely to meet you both!

Tink - glad you are pleased with the perm and you got to dance a bit at your party.

Moosy - hooray for 12 weeks!

Oh dear, I have forgotten everything else. Hi to everyone I have missed . Better go and at least pretend to do some work.

IDOB thank you so much that is the biggest compliment anyone could give...

Diege of your sun just dull and wet here...

DS has just screamed so much (I was trying to ignore him and get dd's lunch done. I knew he was clean and fed so was just grumpy)
that he stopped breathing. He actually went blue. I was so scared... I wont be leaving him to cry any more thats for sure!!!

Moosy · 26/05/2009 14:11

Oh LB you're having such an unfair amount of crap thrown your way aren't you! Glad DS was ok but what a fright, I hope your hospital appointment is good and that you get some useful help/advice/diagnosis.

Moosy · 26/05/2009 14:14

I am today, it was supposed to be the first day of work on the barn, but the scaffolding people got broken into at the weekend and have been cleaned out! They cut the batteries out of all the lorries and took all their diesel and tools. Hopefully they'll be sorted for tomorrow but it's not a good start!
