morning all, wow it's started early today then for the full moon - 1 announcement already. I haven't got the mystery person on my FB friends either as can't see the update.
There were a couple of C-Sections we are waiting to hear about Bekkaboo or Ses
but also daizy went into hospital early hours this morning. Maybe it's Detsy ?
Frazz tell me if one of those is right

I think we are going to see a few this weekend how exciting.

I have had a couple of period type pains this morning but it could just be a rumbly tummy from last nights curry

FiKelly · 09/05/2009 09:48

morning I've been on fb and I know who it is.. well real life name.. but now trying to remember what her MN name is and I don't get full access to our secret group on fb using my mobile! lol have to head out to the vet but will be back later.. you could all check out my fb friends list and figure out who you've not sent a friend request to out of our group..

llareggub · 09/05/2009 09:49

lol at this talk of crowning. When I was crowning I was shouting "is it too late for my c-section?!" over and over again. But yesterday when the midwife discharged us from her care, she asked if we'd have another and I said "maybe," which is a distinct change from the immediate post-labour view!

We had a great night last night. I must say that co-sleeping definitely is working for us. George slept like a dream, and only woke at 3am for a feed. I fed him lying down and next thing I knew it was 6.30am and DS1 woke us up. It is DH's birthday today so we felt like we were having a lazy start to the morning. Who knew we'd ever see 6.30 as an early start? I must say that I am finding DS1 a lot easier to deal with now that I am less tired. We are going to take him out today to a castle for him to be run ragged entertained.

Let us know about these babies soon!

minimenace · 09/05/2009 10:10

Oh can't someone write it on the FB group wall

minimenace · 09/05/2009 10:11

Llare you must be able to see who it is - you have everyone added as friends on your FB

Momino · 09/05/2009 10:20

frazzled/flippin, wish i'd known you were on here so early this morning, i'd have joined you. baby was feeding, filling the nappy, burping etc.

llareggub · 09/05/2009 10:22

I do indeed know...but don't want to steal her thunder!

Momino · 09/05/2009 10:36

llare, laughing too at the crowning. well, now that it's over anyway. i was yelling, 'ffffuuhhhhhhkk' over and over - that's why i would never be able to have a hb with dd's in the house and neighbours listening to screams and my foul mouth.

waters, mine only broke on their own with my induction for dd1. other 2 had to be broken. this time they were 'bulging' but not breaking so i said ok to mw to break since i was desperate to get baby out. my huge bump had been mostly water so they came out with a massive gush. my eyes were closed, i daren't look but it felt like i was sat in a huge, deep puddle on the bed. i'm glad they didn't break when i was in public as it wouldn't have been pretty.

wonder who had her baby ...

SpangleMaker · 09/05/2009 10:47

Ohhh someone please break the suspense!!

Re crowning, I think I got off comparatively lightly as H was small, but I remember desperately thinking 'don't panic, don't panic!'. MW asked if I wanted to feel the head & I yelled 'Nooooo!!!' What helped was that they needed a paediatrician there for the delivery so when the mw asked for him to be bleeped & the syringe prepped (for 3rd stage) I knew it was nearly over. Can't remember the pain at all now but can recall swearing I would never do it again!

Momino · 09/05/2009 10:47

bekka, ses, or detsy?

OP posts:
pulapula · 09/05/2009 10:48

I was lucky not to feel the crowning with DD as I'd had a spinal block so didnt feel a thing. For those who want to understand what it might be like, my NCT teacher said to put your index fingers in the 2 corners of your lips and pull- i can only do it a little bit before it starts to hurt but apparently its the same kind of feeling but down there...

My DH can't get over how obsessive i've been lately about keeping the house clean and tidy and is really loving it, but obviously it's not going to last! After my cs on Tuesday he'll have to be in charge, and then not sure how much i'll be doing once I've got the LO to look after as well as my scar- i remember last time it would start to get sore after 10 mins standing up...

Momino · 09/05/2009 10:50

spangle, mw asked me with dd2's birth if i wanted to feel the head as well. i yelled no as well and thought, 'is she crazy? what a dumb thing to ask...'

pulapula · 09/05/2009 10:52

I saw the FB announcement too. I wonder if she is expecting one of us to tell the rest, but i don't want to just in case she wants to do it herself. Very tricky.

All i will say is it is one of the following:

bekkaboo detsy bantam daizydoo blotted ses

but you never know- as all these ladies have been quiet this morning there may well be more than 1 newborn out there!

pulapula · 09/05/2009 10:57

Oh and by the way, DH will either text someone or put an announcement on FB, hopefully Tues afternoon or evening. Whoever sees it can let others know.

emmabemmasmom · 09/05/2009 11:00

Right well to make the suspence more fun I am putting £5 on Blotted lol ...come on Blotted!!! lol

I am freaking out that I will go into labour tonight. I have been getting bad pains since last night but nothing to write home about. FIL not due back until late Tues...so keeping my legs closed!!!

Going to put DD down and then take a nap myself. So tired today! Think it is the weather...stupid rain...

Blottedcopybook · 09/05/2009 11:37

Well it's not me! Things have ground to a halt over here, I was even prepared to have sex until DH said the thought of it was making him anxious

I want to know who it is!

ladyhelenatealltheeggs · 09/05/2009 11:45

Hi all. Sorry not been back since Thursday. R had lost 17.5% of his birth weight so we were sent straight back to hospital and have just got back.

He was also very dyhydrated and so we have been giving him formula in a cup every three hours and I have been pumping away like a cow every 2-3 hours. After 36 hours of this, only in the last few have drops ( yes DROPS) come out. Very demoralising let me tell you. However milk does appear to be arriving now and R is settling happily on the boob now.

Why does nature take so bloody long to get the milk in? The staff told me that more and more babies are coming in with the same problem with people being sent home earlier and earlier and midwives not coming round as regularly as they used to. They'd seen 3 this week. I have to say the staff were incredibly supportive of getting BF established - I didn't expect that at all. I thought they would just say FF NOW!!! Hopefully things will improve now. DH is taking R off for a road trip to pick up a breast pump (LOL). DS1 is at a pals at the moment so am going to jump in a nice warm bath and relax!!

I will catch up properly later - haven'teven seen if there are any other new arrivals yet.
It will prob take me a couple of hours so may save it for later this evening.

Hope all OK with you all. Off to my lovely bath now........

sausagenmash · 09/05/2009 11:57

Wooohooooo I know as well!

Lalalalalalaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

rosielady · 09/05/2009 12:04

Frazzle - that was me in Broughty Ferry with DH and DS last weekend. Its a favourite spot to go with DS when we are visiting MIL. Visocchis is one we haven't been to in a while as DS is anaphylatic with any milk products - so it seems a bit unfair - however we could be tempted if they do fruity ice lollies for DS too! We'd be happy to meet up!

Febes One week of ML and I have been to Ikea twice this week!! Mananged to get a good bit of shopping done this week! Bought Medela breast shields as well - although I didn't use anything like that before.
