Momi I like the name very, very much. I think it goes fine with the other 2 names - this is one of my worries as there is no similarity between the names of my 2 girls.

LadyHelen and Tummum hugest congratulations and lovely names.

Blotted - stupid bastard neighbours! I hope you woke them up this morning.

Dropped girls off at my mum's for the night (feel terrible as they were both at separate sleepovers last night as well!!), so just enjoying the peace. DH is on his way back from work, I laid in until 9.00 this morning - unheard of!!!

Belgian I bet the guy's face was a picture when he walked into the bathroom to find a heavily pregnant, large of nork lady lathering up!!! It did make me , sorry!

Everyone else, I'm crap I haven't caught up properly, I will do later after I have recovered from 2 hour round trip this afternoon.......a cup of redbush awaits.....

Belgianchocolates · 03/05/2009 16:58

Euromum I can imagine that it must be hard living with your FIL. You're going to have to have a word with your DH, especially as you're now heavily pregnant and need his help around the house. I find anyone who lives with in-laws brave, I don't think I could do it. Having my own mum with me for a couple of weeks is usually enough to drive me potty. So I really admire you for managing to live with your FIL for that long while remaining sane!

Momi Harper is a lovely name.

As for my decorator. He'd just arrived, so after I got out of the bath I had him around me for a whole morning! Neither of us mentioned the incident though. He's coming back tomorrow too, but I'll put a sign on the bathroom door.

Belgianchocolates · 03/05/2009 17:00

grumpy I'm blind without my glasses, so it took me a second to work out that it wasn't DH, but the decorator. I bet his face must have been a picture.

MatthewAndBumpsMummy · 03/05/2009 18:15

momino lovely name and i think it goes very well with other two names.

big congrats to ladyhelen and tummum on the birth of your baby boys, also lovely names!

thanx for the words of support from those of you that commented. thank you very much, very much appreciated .

hope mrsf's elcs went well and she's enjoying her girls, cant wait to hear the news and names too!

good luck to those of you having babies soon.

thanx for the update mr jeal glad mum and baby are well and hopefully home soon.

detsy · 03/05/2009 18:39

My goodness so many babies! Congratulations to all the lucky mums with newbies and super quick labours - love all the names, huge hugs and well done to you all.

It sso good to hear nice birth stories as I keep having minor wobbles - so thanks for that you ladies are an inspiration x

The latest birth stories have made me well up quite a bit - largely pregnant and v emotional girl...

Have also decided to stop whining about lack of birth here - que sera sera and he will come when he's ready, Lotti was v late so we'll see i guess. Its hard at the end and i'm not a patient person but will see what they say on Tuesday and take it from there!!

Off to bath my gorgeous wee daughter xx

SpangleMaker · 03/05/2009 18:43

Big congrats to Tummum & ladyhelen! I'm loving all the quick & relatively easy labours we're having on this thread - must be all the mutual support getting us into the right frame of mind.

Momino Harper is a lovely name.

llare glad to hear things are going well for you, and brilliant that you've gone down a dress size, that's fab, I'm . I'm normal size over most of my body apart from the belly which is not going to go away if I keep eating easter eggs, chocolates & birthday cake like I have been doing I got out all my pre-pg clothes today and need to do a trying on session later - not looking forward to that!

Febes · 03/05/2009 18:48

Blotted I have been nosing around your blog site and have been inspired to make the choc chunk cookies. Haven't tried them yet as they are cooling but they look and smell sooooooooooo good. DH is well happy.

FiKelly · 03/05/2009 19:11

ds is having a growth spurt I think.. he fell asleep in the car on the way back from food shopping with dh at 4pm and stayed asleep when dh got him out of the car.. up the stairs.. in the front door.. onto to his bed and when we took his shoes off! we let him sleep till 5.30 and then went to see if he was hungry. he didn't want any dinner.. just milk, into pj's and back to bed!! so asleep again already. dh and I treating ourselves to chinese delivery for tea. just had an urge for egg fried rice and sweet n sour chicken.. but no energy to make it! so all ordered and just waiting for it to come

momino harper is an absolutely lovely name.. unusual too.

belgian about the decorator walking in on you in the bath. I'm sure next time he heads to the bathroom he'll knock!

btw also v chuffed with one of our purchases today.. we needed a new hoover and I'd been lusting after a dyson dc 25 roller ball one.. so we used all of our massive amount of nectar points and paid the balance.. all of £7.99 can't wait to use it (how sad is that?!) but will have to wait till tomorrow as don't want to wake up ds. best bit is that argos had a special offer so we came out with a £50 gift voucher to spend at some stage as well!

Belgianchocolates · 03/05/2009 19:52

Well, my mum has managed to get herself ill from not sleeping well, because she keeps listening out for me going into labour. I've told her to stop doing that, because at this rate I'll have the baby the day before she leaves again. Like last time . Actually, I think that will probably happen, no matter when she's going to go, it will happen the day before she goes

DH told me I've started snoring big time. I know he's right too, because the back of my throat feels all loose and I can just imagine that I snore now.

I've also had some terrible news about one of my dd's best friends. I must say that dd has told my her little friend hadn't been at school, because she was ill. Today at a b'day party one of the mums told me that at the easter mass the school was asked to pray for the lo. Apparently she had had cancer when she was younger and started nursery later than the other children because she'd had an operation to remove some tumors. I must say that the lo always looked very small and I always presumed she'd been premature or something. Anyway now they're in reception and she's back in hospital to have more tumors removed and has had an op on her bladder and now has a leg catheter bag. That's such sad news, I feel so bad for the parents. I know the teachers must have talked to the class about the little girl being ill, but I wonder how much my dd understands from what's happening to her little friend, who she misses. So sad

Belgianchocolates · 03/05/2009 19:54

fi I understand your lusting for a Dyson. I lusted after one a good few years ago and dh bought me one for xmas. Everyone thought I'd be angry because I was given a household item, but I was over the moon. It was the one thing I had always dreamed of owning at the time .

Blottedcopybook · 03/05/2009 19:58

Just got another text from DiveDaisy, she and Sofiah are being kept in until at least Wednesday until her group b strep test results come back but she should be home by the end of the week x

sausagenmash · 03/05/2009 20:09

Momino - love the name Harper - had a friend who called her LO that recently too!

Congrats to LadyH as well!

That's so sad about your DD's friend, Belgian - I've never worked in oncology, but have done a lot in cancer late effects, which can be just as sad. Hope she gets on the way to recovery soon and your DD isn't too badly affected by it.

Re: jaffacakecakecake... I took it to my friends house today at lunch... her little boy had 3 pieces and gave it 20 out of 10! (yes, you read right!)How smug am I! I can cook! However, dp now thinks he's going to get a constant stream of cakes now... hmmf.. he's put in a request for coffee cake, which would personally make me vom, but if anyone's got a recipe for that....

Dandy - am only cos I'm fed up with being pregnant - I feel like half a house! Friend today said I looked fab though, and her sister said I didn't look pregnant from behind, which was nice to hear!!

Great - dp has hogged the telly. Why oh why are we watching bloody Terminator? I ask you...

bekkaboo · 03/05/2009 20:37

Hi thanks for replies Dandy & Belgain, been to Triage just to get waers checked and monitored fr peace of mind, waters fine def no infection, they have said they think early labour, contractions irregular showing on monitor after 1hr40 checking. So annoying as ive not slept for on off labour type pains for 4 nights and now this! The said about doing an internal but dont see point as booked for section friday unless anything spontaneous happens before then ill just ride it out, hopefully ill get some kip tonight xx

PS they said some women can early labour without establishing for a week or more

flippineck · 03/05/2009 20:48

Off for a day of shopping (DH and DD get plenty, I got nothing apart from achy feet!) - anyway, get back here and more news!!

tummum - congratulations! Lovely names, and just a little bit of your quick home waterbirth!

ladyhelen - congratulations to you too!

Saturday was a very busy day, wonder if any other date will be quite as eventful?

mrjael - lol at boys and pee! Thanks for the update.

reebee - I've had some odd dreams about the birth too, mostly recently about having a c-section but in a really strange hospital with really random things happening. Quite disturbing at the time

momino - I love Harper Grace, and think it works well with your other names.

euromum - you have the patience of a saint, I could never ever live with my ILs, we'd kill each other. They're threatening to stay for 2 weeks after this LO arrives as they live overseas, it'll be really hard.

dandy - I'm getting a bit about all the new arrivals too, but mostly because I'm bored of being pregnant and getting impatient to meet our LO! I am truly inspired by all the good second+ time labour stories, and hoping that the good vibes spread our way too.

We finally tested out the double buggy today, it's been in the cupboard for about 6 weeks but I thought I ought to learn to use it. It seems really good, even with just DD in it, so easy to push. I was worried about it fitting down the path to our house (even though I'd measured everything) so have been very reassured! DD loved it for some reason, even though she's been getting harder and harder to encourage into he own push chair. I know the novelty will wear off, but maybe it'll take a while yet...please?

euromum · 03/05/2009 21:00

Belgian that's so sad about your dd's friend, how horrible for the family. I hope your dd is ok too, it must be hard for her to understand and missing her friend while she's out of school.

Have spoken to dh and he is being very nice and supportive about FIL and general housework, so I have calmed down a lot since this morning. He's also pretty exhausted with working on our house so we're both having trouble coping with family relations at times, which is helpful as it's not just me having a problem with FIL. It actually amazes me that we generally get on so well, as families are so often a total nightmare in one way or another. The only real issue we have is that I can't express the same level of nuance in dutch as in english, which often makes me come across much blunter and, to be honest, less nice to FIL than I would like and am trying to be. But I think he has been having a bad day today too, he's been managing much better than expected since MIL died but naturally it all gets a bit much sometimes and I think having us around makes him realise how lonely he is when we're not here. So, some understanding on all sides needed I guess.

Febes I have been storing my washable nappies away too since dd started creche and I went back to work, and can't wait to get them out again for ds. Glad to hear you've found the switch back not too traumatic - I always enjoyed using them but have been wondering if I was deluding myself about the washing!

And Dandy I'm with you on total lack of jealousy. 4 weeks till due date and would definitely rather he doesn't make an appearance until at least 3 of them have passed!

euromum · 03/05/2009 21:03

Haha flippineck I am about the least patient person on the face of the earth! Just in this case aware that it's in my best interests to keep a lid on most frustrations as we don't have anywhere else to live till the house is sorted! Would love to be as virtuous as it seems I have come across...

Meant to say momino that Harper Grace is lovely, and I think it goes really well with your other dds' names.

minimenace · 03/05/2009 21:10

OMG ... have been away for a couple of days and missed EVERYTHING !!!
I just can't believe all the new arrivals, I am in tears here reading all the announcements it's amazing.
CONGRATULATIONS Gert2a Jael DiveDaisy Momino Tummum LadyHelen hope i didn't miss anyone.

Did anyone notice it was going boy, girl, boy, girl, boy, girl, boy for a while there now we have girl, girl, boy, boy.

Anyone have news from 1stMrsF yet ? did she put her mobile on FB ?

I'm going on there in a sec to check out all the new baby pics - cue more tears, it's so wonderful.

Belgianchocs ... sending labour vibes your way - am SURE you will be next or very soon.

This is all just too exciting to be offline for even a day now ....

FiKelly · 03/05/2009 21:16

just been on fb and seen the newly uploaded photos of gethin and edith... sooooo cute

belgian really sad about your dd's friend... i suppose we've just got to hope that the operations are a complete success and that she's a determined fighter. I'm sure her parents and friends will do everything they can to keep her spirits up and get her through a very hard time. My mum has had 3 lots of operations & then chemo for bowel cancer and every time we think is she going to get through this? Mum seems to battle her way through every time with help and has been clear now since 2005... the longest time yet without recurrences.

euromum glad your day with fil has got better... i can manage a holiday with family if it's a v short one... but the length of time you've coped for is amazing!

frazzledoldbag · 03/05/2009 21:28

momino I love Harper Grace I must say - very pretty and goes well with your other 2 girls too. Congrats again honey.

Also ladyhelen well done to you! Rufus is a lovely name - is on our list too! Congrats x

Well, don't have much else to say except am off to bath and bed. Spent most of the day having a series of melt-downs (not like me at al), sobbing uncontrollably and generally feeling like the world is ending. All because DD1 told me she hates her life all because I had DD2 - apparently her life was perfect as an only child (sob), and then I spent more than half an hour struggling to get DD2's heavy car seat installed in the back of my car (DH took it out yesterday and didn't put it back in).

I'm too big, sore, tired and PREGNANT to climb about doing it and kept hurting myself, and the seat belt for some reason kept locking - every time it was almost done it locked and wouldn't move and I'd have to take it out and start again. (We were meant to be driving to my parents for a fancy lunch with family and I ended up late, car seat not fastened in, sobbing uncontrollably on the driveway with my 2 kids clinging to my legs (also crying) saying 'Mummy, please don't cry'. Awful. Just awful. So we didn't go to lunch, I phoned my dad in floods of tears then DH came home and had a go at me about it becuase he said I did it on purpose so it would make him let me get a 7 seater . I was baffled at this (I do want a 7 seater and with 3 kids would make our lives easier but will have to wait a few months I think - not what I meant at all).

So more tears, hysteria - oh just a horrible day. And now DD1 has just been back downstairs crying (again) - and she never cries. Think she's worried her mother is turning into a fruit-loop - feels like it today. Anyway sorry for dumping on you all. I just feel so sad and Dh has gone to the pub. Someone please tell me these raging hormones and hysterics mean my labour is just about to start................?

frazzledoldbag · 03/05/2009 21:30

Sorry that was so Me, Me, Me. Will be back to normal again tomorrow. Look forward to catching up properly then.x x

euromum · 03/05/2009 21:36

Have a hug frazzled, me me me posts are allowed! Sounds like a horrible day, hope you all sleep well and feel better tomorrow.

Off to bed myself, wondering whether I will wake up to more announcements...
