Tummum · 02/05/2009 10:45

LOVE the photos too Belgian good choices !

sausagenmash · 02/05/2009 10:48

OMG!

Congrats to divedaisy, momino and Gert!! How lovely! A wake up to three little girls!! Am incredibly but so for everyone too.

Dp has been to sainsburys and I have a neat pile in the kitchen of jaffa cakecakecakecake stuff. He is very excited. I'm a bit scared

Belgianchocolates · 02/05/2009 10:50

momino Wow, congratulations. That was very very quick and so amazing that you're already home. Can your sister come and do some reflexology on me too?

emmabemmasmom · 02/05/2009 10:56

momino yeahhhhh!!!!! Oh so glad it happened for you as I know you were getting fed up! Enjoy your little bundle and get some well deserved rest

frazzledoldbag · 02/05/2009 11:03

oh dear, have tears in my eyes at the news of 2 new little girls since I was last here. Huge congrats on the arrivals Gert2a and divedaisy. Beautiful names too - everyone has such good taste on here!

My girls are in the bath so I'm Mnetting from the hall doorway on the laptop while they play at washiing each others hair (aaah). Just wanted to share a gem from last night with you:
was out for dinner with my DH office staff and his business partners wife asked me (in a loud voice) over dinner
'So, how much excess weight have you put on?'
There was a bit of a silence and I was lost for words. Not to mention embarrassed as everyone was looking at me expectantly!
I just said 'oh, no idea - haven't been on the scales since last summer' in a breezy voice and changed the subject but have been feeling awful about it ever since. Why do people say these things? (and by the way the woman in question is tiny, tiny - a size 6-8 I'd say). I suspect she wasnt' actually meaning 'God, you look like the back of a bus' but that's how she made me feel . [sob]

Anyway better go, think my TENS machine has just been delivered.
x

frazzledoldbag · 02/05/2009 11:05

OMG OMG sorry - cross posted with MOMINO - haven't read it yet properly but A GIRL. CONGRATS HONEY!!!!!!!!!!!

Momino · 02/05/2009 11:09

Hi still here. tryin to BF, think little one is starting out well. but i'm nodding off, so tired!

tummum, daizydoo and others waiting: I know how you feel as I was quite depressed up to yesterday. labour will prob come when you least expect. i am surprised dd3 didn't wait until next week when both sis and in laws not available. anyway, want to send you hugs.

belgian, not sure if it was MW sweep or sis' reflexology. but, i'll send my sis your way anyway.

Belgianchocolates · 02/05/2009 11:16

I forgot momi, there's so much going on. Was your sweep yesterday?

I always pictured my self giving birth on the 1st of may and that's come and gone now I know I'm being impatient, but it's just dragging on now, you know with the SPD and everything.

Tummum · 02/05/2009 11:25

Frazz at the excess weight comment !!

Have just put the jaffa cakecakecake loaf in the oven. Mmmm.

Flipping MIL has just phone AGAIN. I lost it with poor DH... why won't she just leave us alone !!!!!!! Arrrrggghhh.

Had some regular BHs this morning. I really thought it might be starting but it all stops when I sit down (which is why I made the cake to feel better.) I'm off to have a nice lunch en famille to try and cheer myself up. If MIL calls again I will tell her to SHOVE OFF in no uncertain terms. She is really starting to hack me off (although I think I am overreacting a tad...

Monimo hope you get some sleep girl... you need it. Are your other DC being looked after so you can get some Zeds in when new LO goes to sleep?

Tummum · 02/05/2009 11:38

Slightly exciting news here. I've just had a show . Maybe the BHs are doing something after all. I know it doesn't mean very much but still....

alapala · 02/05/2009 11:42

CONGRATULATIONS NEW BABIES! Especially to sneaky Momino and her super fast turnaround!

chocolatebunnies · 02/05/2009 11:44

HI Everyone!

Just a quick checking in, ccongrats to all these new babies, and those immeninent!

Yesterday was indeed the happiest day of my life, so cliche I know! I have put a pic on my profile on here for you to see and will be putting some on Facebook later.

It was a very hectic day, and my new Husband has assigned me to the sofa all day today as Im in alot of pain and aching from my ribs down!

Madi was an angel and kept going from 7.10am till 3.00am today! She woke up at 10am and is still buzzing !Honestly I dont know where she had the energy from!

Hope veryone is ok, all getting exciting now huh!!!

daizydoo · 02/05/2009 11:56

Congratulations Chocbunnies (I meant to say it early, but you know the preggie brain!!) Glad you had a great day, the picture looks lovely.

Belgianchocolates · 02/05/2009 11:58

chocbunnies glad to hear that you had a lovely day yesterday. I'd been thinking about you yesterday and wondering how your big day was going. Lovely of your new dh to make you put your feet up today. You deserve it, becasue it's hard work getting married!

Belgianchocolates · 02/05/2009 12:01

Tummum you sound like me: b/h, show, but NO LABOUR . I had a slight show yesterday evening and a bit more today too. Something surely must happen to us soon [big sigh]. Oh and thanks for the comments on my pics, there were 111 pics and I had to choose 10. It wasn't easy, but I think I got a bit of everything. One of them shows my nipple a bit too much, so wasn't all that keen to put that on F/B

SpangleMaker · 02/05/2009 12:20

Congrats Gert divedaisy Momino on the safe arrival of your little girls

Momino wow, you don't mess about, do you?!

chocbunnies congratulations on your wedding, you look gorgeous & it sounds like you had an amazing day.

Tummum good luck - you could be next unless there are some more super fast labourers amongst us!

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 02/05/2009 12:47

Frazz I am and at 'So, how much excess weight have you put on?' It's the excess that really pisses me off.

Sometimes people are just tactless and rude.

Hurrumph.

Still about all the babies.

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 02/05/2009 12:49

And more than a little bit even though I'm still only 37+

Febes · 02/05/2009 12:57

Congrats Momi!!! How quick was that!. Just think tomorrow someone else could be at home with their LOs!!

Detsy No action here yet. A few mild BH but no shows or anything exciting. I was 7 days late with DD so am expecting the same this time. My mum arrives on the 16th so I'm happy to wait.

DD has been in her cot for an hour and has not fallen asleep so I'm getting her up but will try putting her to bed in an hour or so. I'm so not ready for her to drop her naps yet!!

sausagenmash · 02/05/2009 12:57

Aaaaaah choc - looks like you had a lovely day!

Tummum - bloody HELL re your MIL! I don't think you are overreacting at ALL. Grrr! I've had the first of the 'any news yet?' texts this week, and I'm still only 36weeks! Anything happened since THE show? (don't tell MIL, hehe)

Haven't braved the kitchen yet....

Febes · 02/05/2009 12:59

Frazz Theres a woman at work who is obsessed with my weight. She has asked me about 5 times if I have put on more weight with this PG or last one and other questions like that. I have never owned scales and couldn't think of a less appropriate line of questioning.

sophietom · 02/05/2009 13:07

frazzled after meeting a friend the other week one of our mutual friends texted me to say 'apparently you can be seen from space!' makes you feel fab doesn't it?!
tummum and belgian sounds like you two will be next...

Just got back from Sainsburys. Someone parked very close to me in the car park and I was laughing very loudly to myself (and getting lots of strange looks) as I attempted to wedge my bump into the drivers seat. Then when I got home I stood outside the front door to my house trying to open it using the remote locking on my car key. Am to admit I stood there with a puzzled expression and pressed the button at least 3 times wondering why it wouldn't unlock before I realised what a total idiot I was. I'm now going to attempt to make Cornish Pasties and wondering if it is such a great idea considering my current state of confusion!

sausagenmash · 02/05/2009 13:07

I agree with Febes - what a cow. Bet she went home and complained about how fat her bellybutton looked or something. NOT normal. You ARE, Frazz, so don't be sad. I pity people like that!

Jennster · 02/05/2009 13:12

sophietom I've done that! I don't think I was pregnant though.

Dive Gert Momino Blummin heck well done. Great news. Look forward to hearing all about laboours and seeing pictures.

Tummum · 02/05/2009 13:51
