Your DP Sofar?

zen1980 · 15/05/2009 23:04

Hi everyone

Well had scan today but they ended up doing an internal one, kept me waiting sooooo long i HAD to go to the loo!! Anyway they think my dates a a tiny bit off because of mmc in jan and I have only actually had 2 AF's since then. So they think just under 6 wks, could see sac and yol but not much else so did bloods and hae to go back tues for more and then another scan 2 weeks today. All in all they said that they are not worried it was the lovely midwife i saw last time, she said theres nothing saying that it wont progress normally. So am not too bothered at the moment and feel its better to stay a little detached until we know all is ok then will avoid so much heartache as last time.

Glad to see more hae joined congrats and welcome xx

Hi everyone, I'm up at this ridiculous hour cos I'm feeling nauseous, and just had a silly dream DH was thinking about having an affair!.. don't worry I gave him what for in the land of nod!... those preg hormones are kicking in!

Congratulations slightybonkers we due around the same time!

Dizzyclarebear don't worry I'm 39 on my second and still not sure I'm old enough or mature enough!... congratulations!

Leonifay.... big hugs honey... I hope it is all going to be ok, and you get to see some one this weekend... I did a big post on another thread about being let down by the NHS a few years ago.... I know what its like, I felt so out of control. I hope you get to see some one soon, who can help and give you some answers honey. XX

Marmite.... just be yourself on here holler and wail if you need to! I think its very normal to imagine no2 will be a clone of no1... I think we have 9 months to get used to the idea of a baby, so we can get to know then during pregnancy with all their little kicks, like and dislikes (DD hated me eating spicy food, so I had the blandest diet... I'm hope no2 is partial to curry!).. i hope that makes sense?

kittykat ... I've stopped wearing all my "smock style" tops as I had a bit of (well a lot of) a tum before! If I wore those I know I'd get comment.. "6 weeks? are you sure? you look more like 6 months!"

Apart for the dreams and nausea, i had the tiniest of brown spotting on Thursday, which seems to have gone.. I'm hoping it was a late implantation bleed that took a while to come out.. But I will be going to the doc after the weekend to get it checked out!

One finally thing.. is anyone thinking of doing slimming world during their pregnancy? I've been on it for the last couple of months, and lost a stone and half, but am still a couple of stone overweight, and really need to make sure the only weight I put on is baby weight! I'm not talking scary dieting , while pregnant.. just really healthy eating!

Anyway have fab, relaxing weekends and big hugs to anyone I didn't mention personally.

Luv Fairy. XXX

Dizzyclarebear · 16/05/2009 11:06

thanks for the kind words Skidoodle & Fairy!

1st doctors appointment I could get was Thursday (my doctors away so would rather wait for him to get back than see a locum). Trying to sort out logistics as we're in the middle of buying a house in Kent (currently in London) so will have to move doctors/hospitals halfway through...

Not feeling sick so far - am soo very tired but then I can't sleep. so far only negative is having boobs that feel like I've run a marathon without a sports bra...

Ampster - good luck with your job hunt.

Fairy - dieting?!? I was planning on using 'eating for two' to justify carb loading like I'm doing the tour d' france...

hi all just thought i would update you.
i woke up this morning with the worst pain i have ever had, dh took me back to a + e, where after my dh shouting at the doctor, they finally gave me a scan. the woman who was doing the scan then said, 'are you sure you got a positive pregnancy test because i can find anything in there' talk about tact! then a very nice and understanding gyne came and did an internal, and confirmed that i'd had a mc.
so i just wanted to thank you all for your support, and i'm really sad i have to leave.
i hope all of you have uneventfull pregnancys and georgous healthy babys at the end.
xx

alibobins · 16/05/2009 12:53

Really sorry to hear that

Dizzyclarebear · 16/05/2009 13:14

sorry to hear your news leonifay.

desertfairy are you serious about the keeping weight down because tbh, i think that's at least partly what's bothering me [have been rather blue the last few days]. i'm about 2stone heavier than i'd like to be (and certainly than i was when i got pregnant with no.1). but i haven't got a plan, and my tastebuds have gone mad. everything tastes weird and wrong except of course things that are highly unhealthy grrr.

Beanz2 · 16/05/2009 21:46

Hello just joining the thread.

Found out last week and sooo excited. But also have the underlying feeling of apprehension until they confirm everything is well and it is not twins (high risk in my family). Second pregnancy, have a ds born 13 months ago.

DesertFairy · 17/05/2009 03:55

Leonifay .. big hugs hunni, I'm so, so sorry. XXX

showmethemummy.... As far as I'm aware Slimmming world is the only plan of its type that the docs will let you continue on while preganant... the best thing to do is talk to your midwife when you see her and see what she suggests?.... with DD I just walked loads, and stuck to a really sensible eating plan (helped by 9 month of morning sickness and heartburn!).... I am going to check with my doc before carrying on with it!... right now I'm craving fried food, and orange juice... not a great diet!

beanx2 coangraluations and welcome.

hope everybody has a relaxing sunday. XXX

Sersi · 17/05/2009 08:32

oh leonifay so sorry to hear that.

alfiesmadmother · 17/05/2009 09:46

Leonifay am so sorry

ampster · 17/05/2009 18:37

leonifay so sorry for your loss. am pretty sure that (somewhere in the course of my horrible two mcs) i remember reading that once one gets under way they can't do much to stop it, so even if you had been able to get a scan at A&E it probably wouldn't have been able to prevent things taking their natural course. does that help? not sure.

thanks marmitemonster. i think i was made redundant in an ok way - they were getting rid of lot of people at the time, and i got three months' paid notice (was working / living in sweden until march 09, and they're very good out there.)

also marmitemonster / sockmonster i'm so sorry about your little girl. that's about the worst thing i can imagine happening to a parent. hope no2 is as magical and special as 1 and helps you heal but not forget... if that makes sense...

congrats dizzyclarebear and slightlybonkers.

isn't it scary how many of these early pregnancies just... disappear? or go wrong? considering how little miscarriage is discussed IRL it's amazing how often it happens.

lilacpink · 17/05/2009 20:45

Hi, I had a few days early last week with less symtoms, so thought I'd worry constantly try to forget about being pregnant for awhile, then Friday nausea started with a vengence again and stayed so I'm optimistic for the mo.

leonifay I'm sorry for your news. I was in a similar position last Oct. I found the MC section on here a safe haven as I could be more honest there then anywhere else, and found I wasn't alone in grieving. Hope you find support in RL and MN.

ampster I know what you mean, people don't talk about it. I only heard after my Molar preg (similar to MMC) that MC occur one in every three preg. Also after I had one, I was honest with friends and many then talked about having one or two too. Hearing their success stories (as they have DCs of my DDs age), has given me hope that this one will be ok, or another one will be. Roll on 12 weeks for us all!

On another note, anyone else eaten lots of chocolate anything using the excuse it was a 'craving'

showmethemummy · 17/05/2009 22:20

desertfairy thanks will try to talk to MW; depending on who it is i think...I mean in the past sadly my experience of MW and NHS hasn't been that great. i have an appointment already maybe things have changed

in the meantime can totally relate to fried food and orange juice 'craving'

congratulations londonlottie! i know what you mean, i'm scared that by posting on here i'll be 'jinxing' the pregnancy and things will go wrong. but then as others have pointed out, there is a lot of support on mumsnet for the bad times as well as the good, so i figure it's ok to tell people on here (rather than in real life!).

rainbowdays · 18/05/2009 10:08

Londonlottie - yippy you are here, so good to see you again. Good to hear that the digi showed up right levels too, that is great. I am jealous of you getting a scan on 30th may, I have to wait til I am 14weeks before I get my first scan. Now that is a long time. I really am so pleased that you have your bfp finally.

liny · 18/05/2009 12:50

Hello,

Saw a little 9mm bean this morning and a heartbeat!! :-) quite amazing really...
So I'm reassured, but I have had to tell my boss as I have been asked to take the week off to rest. They could see some type of bruising which would explain my spotting/ bleeding.... so let's roll until the next scan-

Congrats to the new BFP!

sazlocks · 18/05/2009 16:23

hello all
am tentatively joining instead of lurking as I got a BFP this weekend.
I am tentative as I still can't quite believe I am pregnant .
My due date is around 27th Jan and I have a very nearly 16 month old.
Lets hope we all have sticky little beans

LessThenIdeal · 18/05/2009 18:04

Hope you don't mind me lurking on this thread. Am due on 13th Jan and it's been a huge shock.

Blocka · 18/05/2009 18:36

Hello everyone - mind if I join in?

Found out last week I am pg with #2 (DD 32 months). I recognise a few names on here from the Jan bus (hello sazlocks!)

Think I will be due on the 24th Jan. No symptoms to talk of just yet - slight sickness but only when I think about it, and I feel lightheaded and thisty alot.

I made my MW appointment for next week - is that too soon? (I have forgotten everything about my last pregnancy and haven;t got time to read up on it this time!!)

rostbeef · 18/05/2009 18:38

Hi all,

I am 6 weeks. It is my first and I feel woefully underprepared and unknowledgeable (is that a word?) but very excited of course! baby is die 12.01.10.

I am having my first scan at 11 -12 weeks which I think is normal? But I am finding it really hard not to tell everyone anyone!

Should I wait until after my scan? When did you tell people? Obviously there is always a risk and I don't want to cause myself or anyone else upset if it all goes wrong...

Blocka · 18/05/2009 19:48

Hi rostbeef and congratulations!!

I told everyone my first time, I managed to wait about urm, 3 days, after my positive test!!! I couldn't help it I was so excited.

Second time round, in Jan, I told some friends and family, but then I had an early m/c, and it was horrible having to ring everyone to tell them the news. So this time, we are keeping mum!

My advice is to go with the flow - whatever you feel comfortable with is the right answer for you!
