hey there bluespix77 you have the same due date as me and I just wanted to put your mind at rest and say I have no symptoms really either, just a bit of an ache in my boobs but not the 'pain' other people seem to complain of.

I haven't had heartburn or cramps. Weird.

timmette · 21/05/2009 13:33

Hi Everyone
I ended up going to the hospital this morning because I have been dizzy even when lying in bed and having palpitations and bleeding.
Anyway they think the bleeding is too much sex and they saw a little baby with a heartbeat .
But my blood pressure is very low and causing the dizziness and palpitations - they are not sure what to do about it -since I am limited medication wise so have another appointment on Monday to discuss what they can do about it.

Hi there anniemac and massive congratulations.

Nice to have people I 'know' here. Looking forward to sharing the journey with you all. Am guessing that some of us will have been in various TTC threads (some for longer than others ) and so will have done some of the journey already.

Am just in a state of flux at the moment, pregnant after all this time and slowly getting used to it.

londonlottie your constant poking made me laugh. I just emailed a friend in response to her question 'do your boobs hurt' with 'Only when I poke them quite hard'

Dizzyclarebear · 21/05/2009 16:24

hey all, been mental busy and not been on for a while, soo many new people, congrats!!

Just been to the doctors who's told me I've got it wrong and I'm due 5th Jan not 7th... And has told me no nuts at all as DH has allergies, didn't know I couldn't have any, the list of "nice food I'm not allowed" is getting annoyingly long.

BTW - can anyone recommend a folic acid/pg tablet brand that doesn't taste evil? Currently taking the Sainsburys ones and they are a really bad way to start the day

Re events and working out how to get away with not drinking - last weekend, stuck to tonic water, as normally would be knocking back G&Ts everyone just assuming there was gin in the glass. Will probably have to give excuses soon, think I'll go with the antibiotics lie or offer to drive this weekend...

alibobins · 21/05/2009 17:02

Congrats everyone looks like its going to be a busy month
I'm still really suffering with sickness and got a really bad back
Hopefully a few more weeks and everything will settle down.

ampster · 21/05/2009 17:42

Hello, how are you people all getting your scans so early? Is it an IVF thing? I went to the doctor yesterday and she told me I wouldn't have a scan till 12 weeks - the combined scan to check for Downs. Fair enough I guess but I wish I could see it earlier. Right now I have zero symptoms (except irritable w/ boyfriend, but that doesn't have to be pg related)... I feel nothing at all. I want to do more pregnancy tests but what's the point?

hi all
dizzyclare... I take the pregnacare tabs which have folic acid in. they taste of nothing and I have it straight before I go to bed.
I have just got the date for my first scan - the 30th June which seems miles and miles away yet !
I am reassured to see the lack of symptoms people mentioning. I look bloated and bigger boobs, bad tempered and senstive sense of smell but not a great deal else at this stage.

Woo hoo! Can I join? I found out today that I'm expecting on 20 Jan 2010 - can't wait! I have 1 DD already, who is 21 months.

Looking forward to getting to know you all over the coming months!

timmette- so pleased for you! Glad you didn't have to wait til Monday to find out the good news. LOL at too much sex!

I am still spotting on a daily basis so anyone else who is has my sympathy- I am holding on to that memory of the heartbeat and trying not to be too stressy. I am getting huge waves of nausea which is strangely comforting.

Hi ampster I am getting an early scan as I conceived after a course of Clomid. Because clomid carries a slight increased chance of multiples and ectopic pregnancy I think this is why they are scanning me early.

lilacpink · 21/05/2009 21:45

Hi All, I'm craving fatty/salty carbs most of the time. I normally have a bowl of healthy cereal in the morning and if I'm at work don't think about lunch until around 2-3pm (and then often skip it and eat a healthy meal for Tea). This morning before 10am my stomach was growling, I had to buy sandwiches, snacked constanly on crackers, followed by crisps (I usually hate crisps!), few hours later another 3 sandwiches, then a whole plate of pancakes (lots of suger), then a pile of salty chicken noodles. I'm thinking of toast now aready. The though of fruit, veg, plain meet makes my stomach churn already. I'm remembering now why I was 4 stone overweight after having DD (I'm only 5ft and being over 13 stone I looked preg at least 3 mths after!). I think I'll go with it for the mo to stop feeling being queasy, but in middle-end trimester I'll have to ease up

For anyone with no symptoms - out of interest can you take the combined pill without bad side-effects? I throw up the next day I take it, unless I stuff carbs (literally double portions of fish and chips plus toast) the night before as I take it. I also have to tricycle (run three packs together, sometimes more). Going on and off even for a short periods sets off sickness and migraines for me. -Constant- Morning sickness also runs in my family on-and-off in preg (for my Mum, Aunt and cousins - one was hospitilised). So I wondered if those with no symptoms can take the pill easily, and maybe don't have a family history of Morn Sick?

Aside from any symptoms/mad hormones, hope everyone is well!

(PS. In first preg 3 yrs ago didn't have a scan until 20 weeks, having an early one soon for this one as I had a Molar preg last year - like missed-miscarriage - that was identified at scan up at week 8).

skidoodle · 21/05/2009 22:48

liny if nobody knows you at this wedding just tell them you don't drink it's totally foolproof.

lilacpink I'm not too bad nausea-wise this time (so far) but last time I felt wretched for 10 weeks from around 4 or 5 weeks. I can't take the pill as it makes me into a ball of unreasoning hormonal fury. Never thought there might be a connection, but it's certainly possible...

singalongmum great work, very thorough

Hi all, posting from my mum's. Just had a chat with my pregnant sister. Nice to have company in up the duffness.

Just been catching up on the thread! congratulations to everyone who has just got their BFP and joined us!

I'm still symptom watching like crazy... mostly cos I had my second lot of brown spotting in a week!.. I'm trying to keep calm, and hopefully now I'm approx 6 wks they will be able to scan me at the hosp this week and re-assure me!

Ideas to get out of drinking at weddings... this is one of the best I've heard!!!! My mate, when she was just preg, told us all she was going in hospital day clinic on the Monday morning for a small procedure and had been told not to drink of 48 hrs before! All the blokes looked embarrassed, shuffled on their feet, made excuses and headed off to the bar very quickly... the girls just gave her loads of sympathy!.. it worked a treat!

Anyway ladies, have great weekends. XXX

DesertFairy · 22/05/2009 03:55

that was meant to say ... Small "ladies" procedure!!!

... i hope my post now makes sense!

starshaker · 22/05/2009 07:26

i have my scan today at 10. nervous and excited at the same time as i have a history of miscarrage. wish me luck ladies

alfiesmadmother · 22/05/2009 08:18

From having no symptoms to feeling full blown preggers! Felt sick and tired yesterday ( though better in the evening. My jeans are tight and stomach bloated!

Have just done the on-line calculator and it says due date is 13th but hopefully will get a scan before 20 weeks to date it.

I love this full bus. For anyone worried about cramps I have them and normally because I am constipated

Dizzyclarebear · 22/05/2009 10:30

good luck Starshaker!!

Re symptoms already: not got morning sickness - should that be kicking in already? (7 weeks) Eating tonnes of spicy food and everything smells v strongly.

Feeling v bloated and think that the tight shift dress I'm wearing today might be having it's last airing this side of due date...

Thanks for the tips on the non-nasty folic acid tabs, will ditch the manky ones straight away!

BTW - who's telling people already? My parents over at the weekend and will tell them. Planning on letting M&FIL know too this wknd - too early? (Not telling friends until 12 wk scan done)
