Today i need to tidy the house (before my cleaner comes ), and then i'm hitting the shops and might treat myself to lunch out (shame i havent arranged to meet anyone but might try a couple of friends at the last minute). Then i plan to pack my hospital bag(s)...

oh my God, I let DH have the laptop for one evening and I miss ALL THE EXCITEMENT! Not fair not fair not fair.
Can't wait to hear what's happening with divedaisy - she's due 2 days before me which makes me all excited. Assume she's in hosp and maybe already has her baba in her arms...........and as for llare I hope she's doing well and also managed to have her baby. Gert - best of luck with the C/S today - again can't wait for news..........

I've been awake since 6 today, but DD is still asleep!!!!!!! Very very rare, but sh's ill, was up in the night with a temperature so I'm just letting her sleep now.

Belgian I know how you feel about your mom. I always felt the same way with my grandma when she came to visit. I felt like I could never do anything on my own as she was always following me and talking about random stuff. I always felt guilty and horrible for feeling that way, but it is nice to have your space sometimes so I understand!

Right, well I should try to get some house work done. I finally got my bag packed (ish). I decided I want to buy baby a new outfit of her very own so will need to get that sorted. Also, last time when I had DD they gave me nappies and pads for myself at the hospital so I didn?t use any of the ones I brought. Don?t think I will pack any this time and save space.

Morning everyone,

I've spent the morning introducing my mum to the joys of internet shopping. She brought 2 pairs of trousers for 3 weeks , probably hoping that we'd go shopping together, but I really just can't do all that walking. Just getting my sunglasses nearly killed me last week, so we had a look through the next directory and placed an order. She's pretty amazed that it'll all arrive tomorrow. I'd take her into town and sit at a cafe while she shops otherwise, but she needs me to do the paying and talking etc...

Oh I really really would like to know what's happening with divedaisy. She's not been back on to say it was false alarm, so more than likely she's now either cuddling her baby or in the middle of giving birth . I'm also wondering how llare's induction is going and I wish Gert all the best with her c/s today.

Last night I had some strongish b/h for the 1st time ever (never even had them with the other 2dcs), so I was hoping it was going to be a sign of good things, but this morning I'm feeling absolutely nothing . 39 weeks now, so really it should be within the next week, considering that's the time the other 2 arrived.

pula I do the same: tidying the house before the cleansers come. Silly isn't it?

Detsy Where did you get the caulu-thingy 6c homeopathic medicin? I went to our local shop that sells loads of weleda homeopathic stuff and they didn't have it. It also wasn't in their book of things they could order in for me. I might go back there though for the clary sage (?) oil and try that in the bath tonight. I seem to be getting b/h in the evening for the last few days, so it might be a good idea to try and encourage them to be a bit stronger when I've got them and hopefully it'll develop into proper labour

wow I have an early night and I miss divedaisy's excitement ! gives me a bit of an eek am I ready (err no!) as i'm due the day after. the flooring guys are in so ds and I are hiding in the lounge.. waiting on the vet calling me back. douglas dog is at my mums today as he's an escapologist, with so much flooring going down there was no where safe to keep him and him going awol is the last thing we need.

belgian my mum talks the whole time too.. dad and I developed a 'deaf' ear to cope. when we watch telly.. say a film or program none of us have seen.. she constantly asks what will happen next! err who knows as we've not seen this before & if she doesn't like the film she then talks over it as she's not interested..

You are a star, thanks very much for the tip. (and the best thing is it's a different type of machine to the one I had last time, which I didn't like at all )
Also, my local health food shop has a stock of raspberry leaf capsules so if anyone is desperate for some I can buy you them and post? I also tried Holland and Barrett but they didn't have any either in store or online. V.annoying.

You know. I think there must be loads of people due in May and that's why Holland and Barrett are out of raspberry leaf tea. Same here, our local independent shop has quite a stash left of bothe the tablets and the actual tea, so I could always get some for someone else and post it on.

Have only had chance to do a brief catch up and now have to go and do final birth preparations - ie pedicure and waxing! Not looking forward to that bit. I daren't even try and take a peek at the old lady garden at the mo!

sorry girls that I took off last night without saying anything (bad me!!), but I went to bed as soon as dh got home. I took 2 co-codamol last night and went to bed... but didn't sleep! Dh was lying there snoring his wee head off whilst I clock watched! THe contractions kept coming about every 10 minutes and lasted around 45 -60 seconds until bump gave a BIG kick at about 4am and then everything stopped and I finally got a bit of sleep!

Anyhow thank you all for your voices of support and advice. The hosp told me to wait out and see how things developed.

I saw my COnsultant this morning and he examined me and did another sweep. I'm 2+cm dilated and will be going into hosp tomorrow at 4pm. I'll be given gel at 6pm tomorrow, and an ARM on Friday morning. I'll be getting my epidural with the consultant anaesthetist whose care I'm also under (because of my neck), so I feel happy that within the next few days this will be it!!

Well I'm going to bed now because I am so tired - 2 hours sleep isn't great!!!

Gosh, I missed a lot! I hope divedaisy is either mooing or cuddling her baby right now. I hope Gert gets her induction and it all goes schmooovly and I hope llare is cuddling her baby now.

Fi I hope Douglas is ok today, I had cat who lived until he was 18. He was the business that cat. Give Douglas a stroke from me.

Blotted curse you woman for mentioning Lemon Drizzle cake, it reminded me that I had some leftover lemons. And how could anyone contemplate drowning kittens - our dog came from a working sheep farm that didn't want her because she has 1 blue eye and 1 brown and there is a superstition amongst sheepfarmers that these collies make poor sheepdogs. He was going to either shoot her or set her loose on the wild moors near Whitby (Vampire Country ). DH didn't hesitate to take her!!

Alapala - I'm not sure I'd want an enema.....tell the Dr he can stick it up his.......but as blotted pointed out, sometimes they have their uses!

Dandy - go on girl get yerself a Nutrageous - you know you want to............I hurried past them in the shop today, as today is baking day and there will be enough sweet stuff for a large army.

Belgian I have been having BH's for weeks now, they're quite painful now and frequent. TBH, they're getting on my nerves. And I wonder, is a mum who chatters all the time more annoying in Dutch? My mum is a witterer by nature, hence why I get quite sullen and unpleasant in her presence sometimes. She has an irritatingly 'reasonable' and posh voice (honestly, I am a horrible, ungrateful daughter....)

I have raspberry leaf tablets available in my little healthfood shop near me too if anyone needs any.

I know I've missed lots of people off but I am doing exactly what I get wound up by my mother doing and waffling on AGAIN.

Dandy how was the school? I was very relieved that Eve (DD2) got her place confirmed yesterday. I had to have my waters broken both times with the dreaded crochet hook, so don't actually know what it feels like, but it may be worth ringing delivery suite. Oooh, a baby dandylion may be on it's way (what a sweet image that puts in my head). xxx
