Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
divedaisy · 28/04/2009 22:22

again lasted a minute.

tummum - the pain is a heavy feeling in my fanjo - like really bad period pain where your legs feel really wobbly too...

belgian - strnage your mum can keep up with the momentum of a computer game but not TV - have I missed something about her? sorry for asking..

divedaisy · 28/04/2009 22:23

belgian - the contraction is bearable - very very bad period type cramp - oh another one coming i think... no it's gone.. they're not taking my breath away or anything (no mooing yet) but strong enough to be noticably unconfortable.

divedaisy · 28/04/2009 22:24

better go and make dh a bacon toastie for when he gets in - he may need his strenght later on...

Belgianchocolates · 28/04/2009 22:25

Divedaisy She can't keep up with the language. Her English is very basic, that's why she can't keep up with telly.

Both my labours were period type pain labours. I'm pretty sure during my 1st labour the period type pain felt sort of constant too. I'd phone hospital, you know. Tightenings lasting a minute to a minute and a half isn't bad. And it's been going of for a few hours too now, hasn't it?

1stMrsF · 28/04/2009 22:26

divedaisy good luck if this is the real thing. Try searching on MN for posts about 'is this it?' lots of them on Childbirth might help you get some descriptions (or just distract you for a while!). One of the most useful things I read somewhere is that false labour/BH will go away if you move around, change position etc. but real labour will keep coming, so try some different positions - lie on your side, sit on ball, walk around and see how you feel. Hope you will be OK and look forward to hearing an update from you either way, we are all with you in spirit!

Belgianchocolates · 28/04/2009 22:29

Ok, I'm really going to bed now. It's getting too late.

Divedaisy I'm keeping my fingers crossed this is the real thing. I'll be checking 1st thing in the morning (before my mum gets a chance to play computer games ). This is soooooo incredibly exciting

pulapula · 28/04/2009 22:30

belgian- your mum sounds like my mum lol. She just can't sit and not talk...about any old rubbish...it really annoyed my DH on holiday but i am a bit more used to it.

detsy · 28/04/2009 22:30

Divedaisy right now stop being naughty and call the labour ward and see what they say Sounds quite exciting to me tho

My labour ward won't let you go in until you can't really talk but think they are at the extreme end of the scale

And if you are not on all fours mooing then tell us what they say...

And forget making DH dinner if you are in pain

Blottedcopybook · 28/04/2009 22:30

Ooooh how exciting!!

detsy · 28/04/2009 22:32

belg sorry crossed posts thought you had gone to bed so thought I'd explain!

Tummum · 28/04/2009 22:32

detsy · 28/04/2009 22:35

I worry about my mum - she was at my house today when I came back from cmw appt and asked how i'g got on - told her, went into kitchen to get a cup of tea and she shouted thru so what did the MW say....???!!

She's only young (62) but seems to be v forgetful at the moment.

detsy · 28/04/2009 22:37

detsy, i am 40 in July but asked my MW about going past my due date at 39. she wasn't too worried this being my 3rd child.

detsy · 28/04/2009 22:49

Ohhh gosh where has she gone....

detsy · 28/04/2009 22:50

Hi momi phew glad i got that right and not offended you!!

Think it changes region to region - my cmw is so no bothered but the senior hospital staff are more antsy about it, grrr

detsy · 28/04/2009 22:52

daisy daisy are you ok girl - you'd best not be in the bloody kitchen!!

Momino · 28/04/2009 22:52

if it wouldn't have been me, i'd not been offended either . though i'm not sure i want to be 40 this year .

where's that divedaisy?

detsy · 28/04/2009 22:55

There i go jabbering away to myself again - i really must go to bed.

Good luck daisy - text me anytime and I can update on your behalf if you want me to. If its early labour and you stay at home - try and rest as much as possible this eve xx

Momino · 28/04/2009 22:55
