SmuttyNuttyTaff · 31/03/2009 16:31

Boffin - i'm glad i waterproofed up cat poo and goose semen

OP posts:
BabyBolat · 31/03/2009 16:33

I know, how funny was that, I literally just woke up from a really deep sleep and the first thing i read was goose semen and mw vibrations!! ONLY IN THIS ANTENATAL GROUP!!!

BabyBolat · 31/03/2009 16:35

And Boffin fling away - I am safely out of that thread now...

BoffinMum · 31/03/2009 16:37

Thought you might enjoy that, ladies.

BabyBolat · 31/03/2009 16:38

I just got a card through my door from my hairdresser offering 20% off - I think they are trying to tell me something!!!!

Juwesm · 31/03/2009 16:40

Handy that you could use goose fat and semen - very economical.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 31/03/2009 16:44

BB - they just miss you

Juw - indeed nothing gone to wate

SpringySunshine · 31/03/2009 16:50

Juwesm · 31/03/2009 16:50

Quite entertaining!

BabyBolat · 31/03/2009 16:54

I had decided to NOT get it done as it was too expensive but now I will save lots of money it is practically FREE!!! Not going to get it done until post-baby tho - as it may spur me on to do the exercising and get back to looking half decent!!

AuldAlliance · 31/03/2009 16:57

Just marking thread so I can find it...

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 31/03/2009 17:00

hello everyone!

HOORAY FOR MUMBLEMUM AND BABY ORSON!!

how funny is it that all the boys have O names!

i had a horrible night last night. i have never had heartburn so bad in my LIFE. finally fell asleep properly at about 3 so am knackered today. spent the morning catching up on all the episodes of Neighbours taht I had recorded (original Libby is back! thank fuck!) went to see the GP this afternoon. it was the same one i saw who gave me the cocodemol. she gave me a look like i was the bigges wimp in the world. first i need something for pelvis pain, now i'm complaining about a little bit of heartburn?? and gave me this look whne i said that i got a sore back sometimes because it was so bad.
she prescribed the biggest bottle of gaviscon i've ever seen. said if i take it 4 times a day regardless if i feel i need it or not it should help. we'll see.

Right girls, I need to know if I'm being Unreasonable or not...(i think i probably am but surely i'm allowed at this stage!)

my parents are in Canada. they won't be here for the birth (my choice, not theirs) but will be here a few weeks after.
my mom was supposed to go away to the US for the weekend with my bitch sister and a few other people but it was cancelled because of the flooding in Fargo. they have rescheduled for the end of April (when I'm due). I'm a little peeved because she doesn't know if her phone will get a signal down there. so if I have the baby I can't talk to her. i'm a little very annoyed at this.

actually, writing this down, i see that Yes I am being unreasonable.
never mind.

Carameli · 31/03/2009 17:02

hi all have to share my proud mummy moments this afternoon. DD(5yrs) was in her class Last Supper assembly in front of the whole school and parents. She was one of the narrators and spoke up so clearly.
She was then in a little show with her French club which was so cute

OddEyes · 31/03/2009 17:03

BB my thinking re hair exactly, i am thinking end of june new clothes and hair. Today was my last chance to get it done with ds in nursery but decided to wash my hair with last of my far too expensive redken shampoo and conditioner instead.
right off to get ds from nursery.

Carameli · 31/03/2009 17:05

purplemonkeydishwasher: so sorry to hear about your family problems. I would feel annoyed as well to be honest.

with regards to heartburn, get to your GP asap. They can give you a prescription for omeprazole(not sure of spelling) but I suffered terribly for weeks till someone here told me about this stuff. Its fab fab fab, one tiny capsule a day and I have not had heartburn for weeks now.

Carameli · 31/03/2009 17:06

I was guzzling gaviscon and eating rennie fruit tabs by the packet and they jsut did not make much difference at all.

omeprazole is what you need.

BabyBolat · 31/03/2009 17:06

Purple, I don't think you are being too unreasonable - Yes on the one hand she is entitled to a holiday etc but I think you should ask them to give you a contact number for the hotel or something. It is very likely that they will have a reception so you should be fine but worth getting contact numbers in an emergency and all that!! Also it is important to be able to speak to your mum at that time, I would be mortified if my mum wasn't around - am also tempted to ask them to induce me early (if I don't go before) as my dad is going away for a few weeks next wednesday and I can't imagine people seeing the baby before him!!!

Have just booked in for Easter weekend - come on for the end of two-tone hair!!!

OddEyes · 31/03/2009 17:07

today feels like the last day, as everything kicks off with PiL arriving tomorrow. Have spent whole day in bed punctuated with washing hair a few times.

BabyBolat · 31/03/2009 17:09

Oddeyes, we are going on holiday in June so I have to be somewhere close to beach-ready, even if I am not quite bikini ready!! I am hoping the hair will spur me on to go running and get back in to non-maternity clothes!!

BabyBolat · 31/03/2009 17:11

Oh I just clicked something and my thread has gone upside down and not in the page format anymore - all in one big list - I don't like it!!!

Bleuravin · 31/03/2009 17:16

Actually, it's not likely they'll have phone reception unfortunately... given the area and the fact that US phones and European phone use different wave bands (is it the same with Canadian phones- I would assume so as they're on the same continent)

Have her check with her service provider; it's the only way to be certain. How many bandwidths will/does her phone cover? (need 3 or 4 to get European calls in the USA) I cannot remember the exact widths... But I'd say BB has a good idea about getting a hotel number and maybe making a 'date' to call her.
