Thanks to Nutty for all the thread suggestions including this one. I hope no one minds but I picked this one in honour of the brilliant race commentary we had from Nuts and Frekkles the other night. Hopefully we will get some more.

Schulte - i will get dh to get some in for me always up for a bit of early easter egg action (though have had a bag of mini eggs per day for the last 3 days running) does that count??

we are wathcing dexter tonight using lovefilm - i like that you can get all the series of things as well as films - we tend to have an hour here and there rather than a full evening to watch stuff just now.

nutty - i'm still at the back too - all this talk of shows etc is passing me by a bit - still have 5 1/2 weeks till due date so 7 1/2 really possible weeks to go.

Juwes, just use ice cold water and your fingertips to make pastry, otherwise it will become flabby and heavy. 1/2 lard and 1/2 Bertolli is a good mix for the fat - all butter is often too crumbly (although adding an egg yolk seems to help with this).

For ties, if they're not too expensive, bung them in the machine and hope for the best - you might need to resew them a bit afterwards if the interfacing has shrunk.
