Thanks to Nutty for all the thread suggestions including this one. I hope no one minds but I picked this one in honour of the brilliant race commentary we had from Nuts and Frekkles the other night. Hopefully we will get some more.

I have just loaded a couple of photos onto my profile - Boff in glidey chair on MN and Boff with bump in front of a sculpture we bought ourselves as a wedding present once our finances had sightly recovered.

Both obviously with the new hairstyle, which survived three hours in the birthing pool with very early but pointless labour pains. I actually gave up being in labour and we went for a curry instead, only to find that the brakes failed on our car, so we had to limp home and then get a taxi to the restaurant.

Yes, they actually started to fail as I drove back from the hairdresser, but I ignored the little light but then when DH was arguing with me about it they failed properly.

Labour pains are like a cross between Braxton Hicks and period pain, making it a little uncomfortable sitting down. I was feeling funny all afternoon but not in the zone and not bossing everyone around, so we reckoned this was not really labour. Could be a month from now!

Birthing pool is so great though, best I have ever had. Did my hips a lot of good. Nutty, you should get one for your living room!!

I just had a really horrid thought - if I died you would never really know what happened to me, because this is an internet friendship.
