Ah, I see. The race is on!

Though I believe mine will be late.

tristaleejac · 03/03/2009 13:13

am trying to summon the courage to ask DP to help with all my hairy bits, I'm usually totally hairless from armpits down but I cant even see my fanjo now, and cant reach to shave my legs. I'd imagine DP would help but the thought of him at my bits with a razor when I can't see what he's up to...... [shudders]

has anyone seen any nice maternity dresses around, i have a wedding to attend on 21st march ( if i make it that far( and I dont want to look like a frump. )

tristaleejac · 03/03/2009 13:16

any particula colour kaz?

kazkiss · 03/03/2009 13:16

see had slight opposite problem with DH he was sooooo gentle I dont think the shave will last till this evening. It is a cruel twist of fate that the time in our life where everything needs to be pruned to perfection we lack the ability to reach!

tristaleejac · 03/03/2009 13:16

budget?

Juwesm · 03/03/2009 13:17

"Does hair need sun to grow, or is that just grass?"

(it is not v sunny in Michigan at the moment).

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 03/03/2009 13:17

Hello again. Seen lovely MW today. Baby is 3/5 head in the pelvis now, bad days with SPD are probably when he is 4/5 in, apparently.

I am 36 weeks on Thursday and she will let me have a home birth any time from Thursday onwards because we both reckon we know what we are doing. So I only have two days to go before knowing for sure I will be able to avoid hospital!! Yay!! (But of course he will end up being 2 weeks late like his brother, I bet). Small matter of boiler on verge of dying and intermittent hot water, but I have phoned the Warm Front people to try to speed up the boiler replacement so we can fill the birthing pool!!

Asked MW all about cervixes and know loads now. Still think they are a bit creepy though.

Nutty - hope you get on OK at the doctor. My MW says it's very unfair you should get gallstones as well.

Springy - Also my MW said it's unbelievable sometimes how many contractions people can have, even on a drip, and still not give birth. Bodies are quite good at hanging onto babies when they need to sometimes.

kazkiss · 03/03/2009 13:19

cool will look at asos now..

tristaleejac · 03/03/2009 13:21

if price not important
these

Juwesm · 03/03/2009 13:21

Completely hairless? Like, Brazilian? Another thing which terrifies me (I am a wimp).

Slight concern that if could not cope with pain of Brazilian, will not cope with agony of childbirth. Though I suspect no Entonox, birth pool, TENS during average Brazilian. Hypnowaxing would probably work though.

Isabella Oliver has some nice stuff Kaz, but not cheap, especially if unlikely to wear again as entire family being grown all in one go.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 03/03/2009 13:21

i have done something very wrong in a previous life and am being punished i think

Yeah be warned ladies no one is beating me to the baby!!!

Nutty, poo for feeling bad - have you asked MiL to come and take you to the drs (hee hee!!!) that should make you feel better!!!

Re breast and nappies - think you just have to do what feels right, I intend to breast and use washables (all clean and dry from yesterdays washing) but if it doesn't work out am not going to stress about it!

Am in such a grump today - for no reason whatsoever! grrrrr

KittyCatIsGettingFat · 03/03/2009 13:24

tee hee... hypnowaxing... there is a business idea!!

Juwesm · 03/03/2009 13:25

Good news re: home birth Boff. I have to hang on until 37 weeks, next Thurs, just to be sure. Otherwise, off to the birthing unit for me. A sacrifice I would gladly make, I think, for losing 4-6 weeks of pregnancy! My LO only 1/5 into pelvis still, little devil. Stomach capacity remains that of a mouse, oesophageal sphincter very incompetent, pyloric sphincter very uncooperative. Consensus opinion reached with midwife that Gavison should be swigged direct from bottle, not measured on weeny spoon.

BabyBolat · 03/03/2009 13:26

Boffin I will get that cervical dust on you too - stop with the engaging now!!!

I have to go to my midwife in 30 minutes and Want to be all happy and cheery so she likes me (stupid I know) but now just know I will go there and wont say anything! Am in my don't want to be near ANYONE mood at the moment!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 03/03/2009 13:26

BB - yup she's taking me then getting dh from work. for my sins, nevermind, really not with it so prob for the best lol ((hugs)) for bad mood maybe try chocolate

some lovely dresses here

Schulte · 03/03/2009 13:28

Breastfeeding cheaper than bottle? Think again... you'll need a LOT of cake to satisfy the Great Breastfeeding Hunger. I remember being quite shocked at how much I had to eat all the time! And that was after I had already stuffed my face for the whole 9 months of pregnancy

BoffinMum · 03/03/2009 13:29

I WILL NOT POST I WILL NOT POST I WILL NOT POST
