Cies · 21/03/2009 09:31

Pass me the crystal ball please

I'm starting to feel a little nauseaus (sp?) now (at 6+2). And still very tired. And last night I had VERY raunchy dreams. I would have jumped on DH had we not decided to abstain due to mc risk at least until week 12 .

I'm off to Portugal to the cinema today! Sounds very odd I know, but where I live in Spain is only 20km from Portugal. And the great thing about Portuguese cinemas is they put the films in original version with subtitles - i.e. in English, whereas in Spain they dub them into Spanish. So I'm treating myself to Slumdog Millionnaire in English. Can't wait. I'm going to the afternoon performance though, as there is no way I would be able to stay awake for an evening show.

Hope you are all feeling ok. Have a great weekend.

katster37 · 21/03/2009 10:05

Cies I loved Slumdog Millionaire - have fun in Portugal! Whereabouts in Spain do you live? We have also decided to abstain until after week 12.

newherehelp Sorry you're feeling teary. At least it's nice and sunny and you can hopefully have a relaxing weekend.

I am feeling really sick this morning. DH is going to Twickenham with his work, in some kind of box where they get fed champagne all afternoon. Great. Can't wait to see him tonight. I am meeting a friend and I think we're going for a walk and a chat. It's one of two friends who know about pregnancy so it will be quite nice to chat openly.

OK well have good weekends. Hi to everyone else x x x

becks130 · 21/03/2009 12:10

Hi all and welcome all newbies.

I have soooo much to catch up on.

I've not logged on for a couple of days, I've been having a rough time with the tiredness and nausea, I have absolutely no energy at all. I suffered when pregnant with ds but I?m sure I wasn?t this tired all the time. On top of this my ds is being a total nightmare, he is normally a little star but his behaviour is shocking at the moment, we're pretty sure it's because he knows we're hiding something from him. He's going to be 3 next month and I wanted to wait till the 12 week mark to tell him that he's going to be a big bro but dh thinks that we should tell him after the scan on Thursday, has anyone told children yet??

I have to go and pick dh up from work so I?ll try to catch up when I get back.

NewhereHelp · 21/03/2009 12:32

Thanks kaster don't worry am all happy again now, a little sun was all I need oh and DP saying don't be stupid I want to see you

becks I told my children this week (I'm 7 weeks now) - but they are 14 & 15 so I also explained the risks in the first 12 weeks. I think if I had a 3 yr old I would probably wait til 12 weeks though - all tough though isn't it

Back off into the sunshine and off to the florist, it is Mothers day tomorrrow!

Joycey29 · 21/03/2009 14:06

HI guys - can I join you! I got my bfp two days agon the day before af was supposed to arrive so very early days.
Can't quite believe it yet and know the tirdess is going to kick in any minute!
Here's to a good November!!

Trikken · 21/03/2009 14:45

Hey, can i join too. got my bfp on thurs morning at the drs. early days for me too, possibly four or five weeks.

cupcakefairy · 21/03/2009 14:58

Thanks so much everyone for your encouragements I feel a hundred times better today. Was just so exasperated yesterday with the no news (I even had a bit of a go at the doc which I feel guilty about but DH reassures me I just sounded a bit fed up...eek)

Have decided not to worry and just get on with my life

I just made a lovely banana cake and not being able to taste the mixture was a real challenge!! I'm also watching my lovely DH eat a prawn sandwich and I'm so jealous hmph. (I know awns are prob allowed but don't want to risk anything! Having a sausage butty instead..mmm)

I've also had this tugging pain that feels like it's in my ovaries, like other people have mentioned...hope it is normal for all our sakes!

cupcakefairy · 21/03/2009 15:01

Ooh! And forgot to mention, I too keep having v. raunchy dreams! Thankfully they've only involved my DH so far, haha! But sadly we haven't done the deed since all this scan/bleeding business. Docs haven't advised us against it but are you actually more likely to miscarry if you do??

BeckyBendyLegs · 21/03/2009 17:01

How spooky cupcakefairy my DH has made a banana cake too this afternoon! He always does this when we don't eat the bananas quickly enough!

I'm sure the tugging feeling is normal. I've had it too. Like something is dragging down.

My dreams aren't raunchy, just weird. I'd rather have raunchy ones

I'm going to have a nice bubble bath now. DH and the DSs are out food shopping so may as well make the most of it.

ldeeanna · 21/03/2009 20:25

Hi! Hope everyone is ok! Got lots to say as always!!
Kaster-mc was at 6 weeks-knew it was coming as soon as i did a test,I just didnt fel right. I was away from home too so it was awful-had an early scan at Reading hospital-the worst staff ever! thats another story later! Anyway I feel a lot more positive this time although cautious-refusing to do the deed with partner-poor man-but he can wait!
Keep doing bizarre things! going into rooms-dont know why im there an cant remember what I ws doing or where i was too seconds before-my partners getting cross at how stupid im being but i suppose its because we are in baby dream world!! Ive researched EVERYTHING think im obsessed! too embarrassed to say what I am planning and thinking!! Is anyone else a complete baby monster?!!

ldeeanna · 21/03/2009 20:40

PS Did one of those clear blue digitals which predict conception-i was so excited-it said pregnant and over 5 weeks so I am delighted-was scared it was going to say 1 week or something! Couldnt stop looking at it! Anyones partner not that excited? And is it too early to prepare for stretchmarks-seen some bad 1's in my time and plan to avoid!!

Stokey · 21/03/2009 21:24

I've noticed a few of you saying you're not having sex at the moment... I thought it couldn't damage the baby?

My first time & aside from giving up the booze, shellfish yummy cheese etc.. am trying to live as normal a life as possible...

Advice?

pavlovthecat · 21/03/2009 22:08

Stokey - I had sex this morning. I woke up feeling very horny, very good sex! How could it harm the baby? .

Anyone else hungry all the time?

ldeeanna · 21/03/2009 22:10

less hungry but eat anyway!

pavlovthecat · 21/03/2009 22:15

LOL! I have had weird dreams. I have in fact had some very very horrible dreams. I have had one of the most disturbing dreams I can remember, in the last week, and lots of others, with the same feeling - a sense of failing to control a situation, something horrific happening that I cannot stop, and a sense of it being a dream, and waking myself up, only to find it is not a dream, but real, then thinking its a dream still, it cant be real, waking up but it being real, happening a few times before I actually wake up in a sweat and have to go check on my DD .

Grendle · 21/03/2009 23:03

I am SO hungry and SO tired it's unreal . Obviously should be in bed .

turtle23 · 22/03/2009 07:01

Anybody else have stupid insomnia? I've been up since 330.

Cies · 22/03/2009 08:06

Stokey we've decided to abstain from sex as I've had two mcs before and I just couldn't live with myself if I thought I had caused another mc by something I could avoid. I know it's probably not true, but the emergency OB/GYN at the hospital told me not to have sex just in case. I'm sure in a different situation I wouldn't worry so much, but I just want to get this bean well embedded and growing and developing without problems.

I'm adding my location to the list.

turtle I ALWAYS wake up ridiculously early, unable to get back to sleep. It's v annoying. Today I have been awake form 1 - 2am, then from 5 'til about 8 when somehow I managed to sleep again for an hour. V strange, I can normally sleep for hours!

BlackLetterDay · 22/03/2009 09:12

Hope everyone is enjoying Mothers day and sorry to those with insomnia, I'm usually a night owl insomniac but have been hitting the sheets at 9 for once. The dreaded sickness has crept in, was hoping to escape like I did with Ds but no such luck, maybe it's another girl?

pavlovthecat · 22/03/2009 09:22

Happy Mother's day!!!! Did everyone get cards? When I was pg with DD I got mother to be cards from DH and from MIL saying how pleased she was I was having her first grandchild! Not this time, as we only told her yesterday!

cies hope it did not come across as critical about not having sex, it was more a from me that anything as I have been feeling really up for sex, and slightly tense that it might not be good for baby.

My sleep has all gone out of sync too. I do suffer from insomnia anyway, from time to time. And when I was pg last time, DH said my sleep changed quiet early on. I am awake about 5am these days, although I am also going to bed earlier, which might be the problem. Only in the last week, before that I was sleeping 8pm -7am for the whole week.

DH was a bit that I was on MN this morning, then said, oh well it is mothers day you can do what you want!'

BeckyBendyLegs · 22/03/2009 09:32

I was awake again at 4.58am until about 6am. Sigh. Insomnia in the early hours of the morning is definitely an pregnancy thing. I woke again at 7am to find a cat perched on my bottom purring really loudly. I don't know about the rest of you but I conk out at 9.30pm! It feels like having permanent flu or something.

I haven't had sex yet because I'm just too knackered to be honest. I did have sex in my dream last night so that was nice not that DH benefited since he was asleep. I usually make up for it after the first trimester! Anyway DH is probably glad of a break after eight months of sex-on-demand!

lemontop · 22/03/2009 10:01

Morning everyone! I fall asleep so early these days. I could quite honestly go to bed at about 8pm. I have to keep myself up till about 10 and then I'm out like a light. I wake up quite a few times during the night tho which is quite annoying and always fully awake very early. I've been up for hours!

I've had such bad nausea today. I've been cleaning the house as DP's mum is coming over and not sure if the smell of the bleach triggered it but I feel bloody awful.

I've also been feeling a bit down over the last few days and my hair is a bit of a disaster. When are we supposed to glow and feel amazing again?!

PootleTheFlump · 22/03/2009 11:33

Happy Mothers' Day to all those that qualify, am hoping so much that this time next year my flumpet will be safely here.

Am feeling worried as I definitely have no nausea. Do have sore boobs and am knackered but worrying now that everyone else seems to get sickness. Am 6+4, do you think that's strange? Think I'm over-analysing things as have scan this week and so want it to all be ok!

Hope everyone has a lovely day x

ldeeanna · 22/03/2009 11:34

I know-I look dreadful-spots and greasyness! Im a bit worried-why am I not feeling sick-sometimes I think i might feel sick but I dont know-might be in my head! Why do I want to feel sick?!!
