Morning,

Gruff, I would second what Kayz says about keeping a eye on the water situation. If they are definitely going, albeit slowly, it does open up the risk of infection, so they might want to speed things up.

Nothing of note happening here except have developed painful achy hips overnight. I think lying on my sides is taking its toll and joints are slowly giving in! Really did hurt and made me feel for those with SPD issues.

Right I am going to attempt a list update as am 38 weeks tomorrow...

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 16/03/2009 10:01

Morning All

Glad wedding was good Gruff- really was a lovely day yesterday

Reckon you should definately speak to MW about leakage. Apparently they can swab you at the hosp to see if it is actually waters or not.

Nothing planned today which is nice after a busy weekend. Might do some pregnancy yoga or something... or just spend day MNing resting.

Tink, DS2 is 13 weeks and has a 7oz bottle every 3-4 hours. Then he has a bottle at about 11 and sleeps until 5.

GruffaloSoldier · 16/03/2009 10:35

Hi all,

thanks to everyone for the advice. I am going to get dressed (just woke up after morning nap and then I will call the mw. Am a bit worried if she comes over as the house is an absolute tip!there is furniture and baby stuff everywhere!

better safe than sorry though I guess!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 16/03/2009 10:44

Good luck with the MW Gruff, let us know what she says.

Im sure she'd rather see a home with stuff everywhere than somewehere immaculate when you should be resting!

OP posts:
GruffaloSoldier · 16/03/2009 11:39

Thanks - mw wasnt sure if it was waters or not so think they are just checking it out just to be on safe side.

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 16/03/2009 12:48

Hi!

Just been catching up but brain gone blank now...

Gruff - glad you got checked out. Hope you don't get any more.

Beautiful day here

Went to Pilates but there was no one there!!??! Will text the instructor later...

I've just bought the baby a lovely soft cuddly giraffe from Pumpkin Patch. It matches perfectly with the wallpaper border and bedding we've got
DH bought the baby a British Lions rugby top and shorts yesterday when he was at Twickenham in preparation for the Lions Tour of South Africa later in the summer!

Diege · 16/03/2009 12:50

Hello! Think you're wise to get waters checked GRUFF, and don't worry about the house!
I am surprised tbh that there have been no wagon babies over the weekend! I am sure things will be different in a week's time!
Will update list too..

Just updating the list - had my scan date in the MW appts section, also, spoke to LaTour at the weekend - she sends her love, she's well and just trying to get to 12 week scan - which is on the same day as me! What a ridiculous coincidence! Think hers is afternoon though so won't be looking at them at the same time!

Gruffs - glad you got yourself checked, hope everything stays OK, don't push yourself too hard will you?

Cosmo - GYo, what are you playing at? Where are those babies?

I'm 10 weeks now, this last week went really quickly but I'm guessing the next couple leading up to my 12 week scan are going to drag by painfully.

I've ordered a doppler and can't wait to have a go (don't worry guys, I have my 'all prepared not to panic' head on!)

kayzr · 16/03/2009 14:08

I am on a diet so eat some gingerbread for me too. I love it!!!

I have just worked out that since January 2007 our bank has charged us £1585!! I actually feel physically sick. So they are getting a letter as I want it back!!

tinkhas2scrummygirls · 16/03/2009 15:03

hi sparkly ye for 10 weeks not long till your scan now
oh no kay thats not good!!

Diege · 16/03/2009 15:17

Oh my goodness KAYZ ,it must be worth writing to the banking ombudsman to see what you can reclaim!
Hi STT, TINKS! Have the most horrendous heartburn here, so going to skive off soon and get some gaviscon! Think it was the coffee and walnut cake we had in team meeting this morning

GruffaloSoldier · 16/03/2009 16:08

hi all

had a bit of a traumatic time at hospital. me and baby are fine but doctor tried to do internal with a horrific speculum type thing and it was so painful I cried so she had to stop. It made me bleed

They were going to send me home as they said they doubted that my waters had gone but then registrar (who was lovely, dr was not) came in and requested I was scanned and they found reduction in waters so I am being treated for waters being ruptured and have to take my temp every four hours, and have been put on antibiotics. Also have to go back to hospital for monitoring wed and friday. they said not to worry if baby comes as I am nearly 36 wks and chances are wouldnt need SCBU so Im trying to chill out. Just wasnt the nicest of experiences. MWs were lovely though.

I need a rest now but hope everyone ok

Diege · 16/03/2009 16:34

Oh GRUFF how awful for you . At least you had a good consultant, and are being closely monitored and are on ABS. Did they mention at the scan whether it was hindwaters that were leaking or fore? Think the former can start leaking for several weaks with no adverse effects.
Hoping you get some rest and relaxation tonight to get over your ordeal xx

GruffaloSoldier · 16/03/2009 16:39

hiya diege - thanks!

they didnt specify which waters but did warn me that labour could be imminent. it is all a bit uncertain and i have horrific head cold which is not helping matters. i also had loose bowels this morning which since I have been on iron tablets is unheard of so am thinking it may be uncertain - but who knows?

Astarte · 16/03/2009 16:49

Ooh gruff looks like labour is close for you

Don't worry about the baby I'm sure everything will be fine
She'll only be a week early, which is nothing to worry about

Glad you got seen.
