Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I just said to DH that I would get pg now if I could and he said "Yeah". Bloody idiot was meant to say no. But he did say he didn't realise I meant it. He is silly.

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 15/03/2009 15:43

Hmmm... that's interesting Astarte. Not sure whether this one is a boy or a girl.

Pointers on it though would be...

  • Had MS for about 6 weeks with mainly just nausea but during the worst couple of weeks probably physically sick about 12 times.
  • If you go by the girl generally conceived prior to ovulation and boy on day of, our GOFing would suggest a girl
  • only craving has been tinned tomatoes which the girls on the May thread think indicates a boy
  • bump initially made me look just round but is now looking more like it's all out front.

Oooh! I love speculating!!

kayzr · 15/03/2009 15:45

Have you done the wedding ring trick yet Ses?

Hold you wedding ring on a piece of string above your bump. If it swings back and forth it is a girl and if it goes round in circles it is a boy.

If your bump is round it is a girl, if it is bullet shaped it is a boy.

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 15/03/2009 15:52

Not done the wedding ring trick...
Hang on and I'll let you know!!

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 15/03/2009 16:02

Ok - put my wedding ring on my chain (is that ok or does it have to be string?!) Hardly moved at all but onthe 5th attempt moved back and forth.

I think my bump is round and most of the way through, most people have said it is girl shaped, escept for the last couple of weeks when more people have said boy!

Until a couple of weeks ago I was sure it is a girl but now I'm not so sure...

I'll have to post a piccie of my bump at some point...

kayzr · 15/03/2009 16:02

I think you are having a girl.

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 15/03/2009 16:09

Think we x-posted but that would tie in I think Kay!

kayzr · 15/03/2009 16:19

Yeah we did.

I just have a feeling you are having a girl. I think GYo is having a boy so if I am right there I might be right with you.

I guessed all 5 of my friends DCs right. Her 1st set of twins are girls, so are the 2nd set and then she had a boy.

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 15/03/2009 16:22

Well I think GYo is having a boy too and her bump is more boy shaped than mine (having seen it! )
(Hope you don't mind me saying so GYo!)

Still a chance we could be proved wrong!

DH has just texted me from Twickenham. He was looking forward to seeing England get thrashed and has had to admit that they're playing well...
I'm happy as not olny are England going to win but Spurs are winning away at Villa too! (plenty of time for that to change though!)

kayzr · 15/03/2009 16:26

I have the rugby on too. DS1 keeps shouting "Football" and "Yay Arsenal" I think I need to start explaining the difference.

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 15/03/2009 16:28

Start off by explaining that he should never cheer on Arsenal!

kayzr · 15/03/2009 16:35

OI!!! We won 4-0 yesterday!!

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 15/03/2009 16:39

Headlines got stolen by Liverpool though (who did get a v impressive result!)

Not sure we'll hang on against Villa but so far so good with 32 mins gone...

kayzr · 15/03/2009 16:47

Yeah I know. It was a good game though. Rooney was useless.

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 15/03/2009 16:55

Right, I'm going to try and do something constructive with 5Live on in the background.
Congrats to the English Rugby Team!!

kayzr · 15/03/2009 16:59

I tell you there is something strangely sexy about Martin Johnson. He just looks so moody!!

kayzr · 15/03/2009 17:12

Arghhhhh. Ses, my Dad has just told me I should be cheering for Spurs as if Villa win they go above us.

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 15/03/2009 17:22

Your Dad makes a good point!
Can't believe we're now 2-0 up!!

Also agree with you about Martin Johnson - mean and moody really suits him.

Cosmogirl · 15/03/2009 17:22

I saw Martin Johnson at East Midlands airport with his wife and child a few years ago and he is huge - very very tall and just big....not sure if he is attractive per se, but I kind of get what you mean.

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 15/03/2009 17:54

Ooh! Cosmo!

The only famous person I can remember passing was Bob Geldof up in North London a few years back. The person I was with said "Did you see who that was that walked passed?" "No" I said. "It was Bob Geldof", he said and without thinking, I responded by saying "No, he was too scruffy!".
I think it must have been him!!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 15/03/2009 19:08

Hello

Hope everyone has had good sundays. Thanks for all the positive vibes come through

Now only 2 NCT babies left to arrive; one is planned C-sect later in week and me! Think there is good chance I could be last not that it matters one bit. Decided that baby will arrive when its ready, though i will take up residence in special corner of the wagon sofa with Cosmo (where cleaning is totally banned, only chilling and relaxing are permitted!)

Really cant remember anything though I have read all of today's posts. That will teach me to read then do my natal hypnotherapy CD thing!

THink I might read again!

I have a feeling you'll be meeting lo very soon GYo - especially after the show etc... Had a bit of a panicky moment earlier when I started to worry about the labour.....feels silly to be scared when I am so keen to have this pregnancy over with.

Going to try and take a leaf out of your book GYo and stop worrying when the baby will arrive. Knowing my luck, I am bound to go overdue - just so I get a few extra days of sickness!!

kookykid · 15/03/2009 20:00

Evening!

Was sure we'd have had a baby over the weekend! GYO - I reckon your labour is going to be pretty quick once it's fully established. Your body has clearly been warming up for weeks.

Cosmo - can't imagine how rotten it's been to feel so rough for your entire pregnancy. I really hope that baby comes soon and puts you out of your misery!

Had a lovely weekend - now have a wardrobe brimming with gorgeous maternity wear courtesy of my lovely step-sister. Hooray!
off to watch the last episode of "Lark Rise to Candleford".

GruffaloSoldier · 16/03/2009 07:30

Good morning everyone!

Goodness I dont think I have ever posted this early! I got up at 6.30 was wide awaka and hungry so there you go. Might go back to sleep in a minute.

Wedding was gorgeous yesterday - amazingly warm day for it and beautiful surroundings. A converted barn in the Hampshire countryside. (near Petersfield)

Was nice to see friends that I havent seen for a while. All in all had a lovely time - was very tiring though!

I have also had some more water leakage yesterday so not sure if I should call midwife today and let her know. hmmmmm.....

Glad to see it was nice and chatty on here yesterday - i have just caught up. Gyo and Cosmo, sulky corner is a good idea! You cant be far off now though so hang in there!

Good morning to everyone else and hope its a lovely Monday for everyone!weather already looks promising. I am going to have a rest day today as wedding took it out of me!

kayzr · 16/03/2009 07:46

Morning,

Gruff, Glad you had a good day yesterday. I would ring your MW because if it is your waters leaking you can get an infection. She can just check to see what it is.

DS2 woke us up about 3 this morning by sucking on his fingers very noisly. I was expecting him to wake up crying for food but nope. But then I couldn't get back to sleep. He woke up at half 5 for a bottle.

Hope you are all ok.
