Morning,

Congrats Happy!

Gruff - sounds like we could have any early arrival from Grufette...

Nothing to report still....just getting more impatient and nauseous by the day. Keep getting told to make the most of the time and do things etc etc but how can I when I feel sick and drained all the time?!! I just need this baby out - pregnancy and my body do not agree! Sorry for rant this early in the morning - think I got out of the wrong side of the bed.....

Starshinetiger · 15/03/2009 09:30

Morning All.
Congrats Happy!
GYo - thanks so much for the info - is the same company, but also going to ring Boots shortly to see what they say. Have got over anger now and resigned myself that things might not go to plan, but concentrating on end product
Gruff - hope you're comfortable and make the wwedding today.
TMI alert
So, got up to DS1 in the night and had a bit of a leak - not sure if it's my waters leaking out or incontinence . Have been very wet down there all night, but no gush (waters didn't break with DS - they broke them for me at 9cm dilated), so not sure what to expect. Then this morning am pretty sure I've had a show - big globule of jelly like stuff when I wiped (again never saw my show with DS - mw said it probably happened when I was in the pool).
Probably didn't help matters that I took DS to park yesterday and we played football (helps quite a lot with Braxton Hicks I find and then slipped on the grass hill and fell on my bottom, so I guess that might contribute to things getting dislodged!
Anyway, shall let you know if anything progresses. Off to call Boots...

Starshinetiger · 15/03/2009 09:31

Cross-posts Cosmo - sorry you're still feeling so bad. Nothing I can say I know, but sending positive vibes your way for the outcome you want!
Do you have a neice/nephew/borrowed child you can play football with - maybe that's the way!

Cosmogirl · 15/03/2009 09:38

Morning Star! I don't have a child I can borrow unfortunately....have some sorting out in the garage planned for today though, so maybe all the bending and pointing and standing will help ....DH can do all the hard stuff...

Fingers crossed for you - sounds like we could have some more wagon babies imminently......(not Cosmo baby though )

GruffaloSoldier · 15/03/2009 10:46

Morning all,

I just thought I would let you know that I have had no more leakage so think Im ok for now!Just getting ready for the wedding. Am looking forward to it

Had a terrible night sleep last night though so how long I will last for at the wedding is another matter! Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday! I probably wont get on now til tomorrow so I will "see" you all tomorrow!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 15/03/2009 10:51

Hi Gruff. GLad you are ok- have a lovely time today, its fab day for it!

hope your not too tired!

Hi Cosmo.. think we should set up a corner of the wagon sofa for general sulking re lack of baby arrivals- what do you think?

Hi Star- hope you get the pool sorted with boots ok. Baby might well hang on if it knows you arent ready

Im going to make some gingerbread men now..

OP posts:
Cosmogirl · 15/03/2009 12:59

Hi GYo, gingerbread men sound yummy! Most

Love the sound of the sulking corner - think I will take up permanent residency there. I didn't realise how difficult these last few weeks would be physically and mentally/

Hope the wedding goes well Gruff. It is a gorgeous day here.. Garage sorting went ok - made a good start but need to do a skip run before tackling the rest and that's not going to happen today.

Hope everyone else is having good sundays.

Astarte · 15/03/2009 13:02

Ooh leaks and shows! 'citing

Congratulations to Happynappies, a blimmin' good weight there

Star I really hope you get your pool problems sorted, this is the exact reason I didn't go for an inflatable pool. It was my worst birth nightmare to have it burst or not inflate when I laboured.
Boots will come through I'm sure, hang on in there little StarTiger

can't remember anything else I'm afraid

kayzr · 15/03/2009 15:03

I need some help please!!

I am feeling really broody and it is driving me insane!!

What can I do to get rid of these feelings?

Cosmogirl · 15/03/2009 15:15

Oh Kayz.....don't think I'm the best person to advise.......don't know if I'll ever feel broody again at this rate. It is prob just your hormones settling down after the birth.

Good bargains Tink!

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 15/03/2009 15:17

Hi! DH is at Twickenham and I'm watching on telly. Good start by England. Just hope it can continue!

Kay - those broody feelings are back nice and promptly! Are you sure you'll be waiting until the second half of 2010??! Not sure what to suggest... Putting sensible hat on, you know you've got plenty of time to hang on for another and that having 3 under the age of 3 would be a huge challenge!!

tink - good shopping at NCT!!

Gruff - hope you have a good time at the wedding. It is a beautiful day for it.

Star - I hope Boots have managed to find a satisfactory solution and that lo stays put until the right time.

HappyNappies - congrats!! Hope things settle down with DD though - sure they will and she's just adjusting.

Cosmo and GYo - thinking of you and sending more positive good labour vibes!

Astarte - hello! How's things with you?

Cosmogirl · 15/03/2009 15:17

Maybe try and focus on all the rubbish bits of pregnancy? Sickness, heartburn, pelvic pain, lack of energy, weird eating habits, no alcohol........HTH x

Cosmogirl · 15/03/2009 15:19

Hi Ses Thanks for labour vibes!

Astarte · 15/03/2009 15:27

tell yourself it's hormones and that you'd be clinically insane to try for another before ds2 is 1yo
hang on for a couple of months Kayz, when Dylan starts teething you might feel different.

Failing that, draw up a list of pro's & con's of being pg at this moment in time.
It could include things like emotional toll, sharing time with 2 lo's whilst exhausted being pg, having a small gap between them (good/bad), the physical toll on your body so soon after your last pg, financial security, 3 in nappies eek!

(can't think of any pro's , those would be the con's for me)

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 15/03/2009 15:28

Hi! No worries! Just repay the favour for me in 8 weeks!!
Am a bit worried I'm going to be late and I can't be as my best friend is down from York staying with her parents so that she can meet the new baby and another really good friend is getting married 13 days after my due date...

I am really looking forward to my ML now when a couple of weeks ago I couldn't quite get my head round it. Only 3 weeks to go!!

Sorry you've been feeling so rotten though. I do think the best cure will be for you to have the baby and then for the first time in 9 months you'll feel like eating all sorts - make sure you enjoy getting your appetite back!

Astarte · 15/03/2009 15:30

good thanks Ses, 4 is very hard work though.

I'll live vicariously through you lot I think, nothing could induce me to do it again

kayzr · 15/03/2009 15:31

I don't get morning sickness. So that doesn't put me off. I don't think DH would let me anyway so he'll keep me on the straight and narrow.

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 15/03/2009 15:32

LOL Astarte!!
Don't tell me it's too bad though... (In my ideal little world, I'd love to have 4!)

Astarte · 15/03/2009 15:35

Oh well in that case it's a doddle

Disclaimer: I accept no responsibility for any blatant falsehoods, which may be accidently expressed in my posts regarding the ease of parenting 4 children.

kayzr · 15/03/2009 15:36

I want 4 too. But I promised DH if DC3 is a girl we'll stop.

Astarte · 15/03/2009 15:37

I def think there is something in the morning sickness and carrying a girl theory btw. Having had 2 of each, the girls were waaaaaay worse for m/s.

Cosmo will likely testify, as would Diege & Glask I bet!

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 15/03/2009 15:38

I think my DH would rather stop at 3 too Kay.

How ridiculous is this though - I don't even have one yet!!
