The other thread was too long and wouldn't let me add a new message.

I am 8+3 and as my previous m/c's have been at 9 weeks.

OP posts:

ladylush · 07/02/2009 10:52

Hello silentlywondering. I am also 8+3 and have had 4 m/c - all first trimester. Were your m/c spontaneous or mmc? I've been lurking on this thread - don't want to join yet iyswim.

silentlywondering · 07/02/2009 11:59

Both were spontaneous following on from being in close proximity to a child incubating chicken pox. Although I haven't been in contact with chicken pox this time I am still worried that it will all go wrong. I am also hypothyroid which can cause problems nd m/c until end of 2nd tri so I am always a bit panicky throughout pregnancy.

Just twigged where I saw you posting before your hypo too aren't you ladylush?

OP posts:
ladylush · 07/02/2009 12:11

Yes hypothyroid. I'm on 125mcg. Tsh was 2.7 at 4 weeks pg. GP increased thyroxine by 25mcg so hopefully ok but will need another blood test. Feel ok in that dept. Have been referred to an endo. Sorry to hear of your m/cs. Hope this one is successful.

ladylush · 07/02/2009 12:13

Silently - are you having a scan soon?

silentlywondering · 07/02/2009 12:17

I have a scan booked at epau for the 16th of feb which doesn't seem particularly early to me as I will be 9+5 by then all being well.

OP posts:
silentlywondering · 07/02/2009 12:19

I've been referred to an endo this time which was a pleasant surprise as they never bothered in my previous 4 pregnancies. I have another blood test on the 17th to check levels.

ladylush · 07/02/2009 12:20

If you have lost babies at 9 weeks I suppose it will be better for you to have your scan slightly after that stage - for reassurance.

I've had losses at 7 weeks and 8 and a half weeks. I've got a scan on Monday when I will be 8+5. I've had pink spotting twice in this pg so quite worried.

silentlywondering · 07/02/2009 12:27

It's quite worrying, the slightest thing can make me feel panicky atm. Will keep my fingers crossed for you on Monday. Let me know how you get on.

Thanks. Will do.

Afternoon all

im 7wks today due 26th sept this is my 4th baby

Ive had nausea for the past 2wks but the sickness really kicked in last nght i cant stand the smell of food cooking it makes me pukes and everything i eat tastes like metal (is that normal? i never had that on my other 3)

Im a little worried bout this pregnancy as my others havent been perfect my 1st pregnancy was spent in n out out hosp with kidney infections on my 2nd i had really bad SPD so bad i couldnt walk n my partner had to help me dress, bathe n even go to the toilet n then on my 3rd i developed pre-clampsia and had to have an emerg c-sec at 36wks after going blind n having fits

Im really hoping this pregnancy goes a lot better as this will def be my last and i want to enjoy it as much as possible

spats · 07/02/2009 15:35

Hi all, i am 8+4 due 16th Sept. This is my 3rd, have 2 DS. Taking each day as it comes really. Feeling sick, am using seabands which i think are helping a bit and anything which had a strong taste to take horrible taste in my mouth away. Pickled onion monter munch going down a treat - 2nd bag today, will will be so huge soon, without baby contributions!! i am lurking on another thread and pop in from time to time but unlike the ttc threads where i was obsessivley on it, it feels like i am jixing myself being on the ante natal ones so i pop in about once a week. I think others feel the same don't they? look foward to getting to knowing and supporting you in the next 9 months x

popcal · 07/02/2009 17:48

Hi been lurking for a while like lots of others! This is my 4th and I'm due 21 Sept although recent scan makes me 8w5d which makes me due around 14 Sept. Have been suffering really bad day long nausea but its eased a little over the past couple of days. Also really tired but not a lot of time for resting with DS1 6 DD1 4 and DS2 3. Bit of a gap with this one but this will definately be my last!

ladylush · 07/02/2009 18:20

welshjelly - I had SPD when pg with ds. It started at 12 weeks and was diagnosed at 18 weeks. I'm lucky in that I knew what to avoid doing quite early on and though horribly painful I never needed crutches etc. I even managed to work til 39 weeks. I don't think I could do that now though.

excitedandscared · 07/02/2009 20:14

Hi ladies,
I added a September EDD to the list weeks ago now when I first got my BFP. I have been reading regularly but been too scared to post again since!
This is my first pregnancy and I am feeling pretty rubbish - nauseous and throwing up quite a bit, sore boobs, super emotional and crying ALL the time.
I'm still waiting to hear from a midwife, let alone even have a date for a scan yet. Iam so impatient. I really want someone official to tell me I haven't made this up, there really is someone growing inside me and all the twinges and cramps I'm getting are normal!

Good luck to everyone with scans coming up and those of you having a tough time of it at the minute...

TigerFeet · 07/02/2009 20:25

I really feel for those of you that have had previous m/c's and are worrying now - I'm lucky really, I have never miscarried and I am constantly fretting... I can't imagine what I'd be like if I had miscarried previously. Keeping fingers crossed for all of us.

Spats - we are due date partners - having said that I'm not completely sure of my dates (I wasn't consciensously TTCing) so when I have my scan it could change.

kookykid · 07/02/2009 20:56

Thanks for the new thread, silently.

God, arent we all in a state?! This waiting is awful and such a lot to worry about. Hopefully this thread will see lots of us having our scnas and reaching that longed-for 12 week stage. At least we have each other for support!

I am nearing 11 weeks now and have had very strange tummy twinges today. I am hoping it is ligaments etc stretching and all is well. I can't believe how naive I was when I was pg with my DD - we told everyone straight away and I can't remember really worrying about anything!

ladylush · 08/02/2009 10:51

I know what you mean kookykid. In fact my h and I even started looking at cots etc when I was only 4 weeks pg! It never occurred to me that I might lose it. Yet, now I almost assume I will I did think about joining the pg after m/c thread but they are all at different stages of pg and it's quite comforting to be on a thread with ladies who are at the same stage iyswim.

ladylush · 08/02/2009 12:42

Obv I meant with my pregnancy with ds!

WelshJellyBelly · 08/02/2009 16:06

Omg i cant believe how emotional ive been already in this pregnancy

Last night i promised my dp that he could have a lie in this morning as for the past week ive been tired n nausea a LOT so he has done all the cooking cleaning and takng care of the 3dc's (he's unemployed at moment due to being let go because there wasnt enough work coming into the factory he worked in)

fair play to him since being let go he's done a lot around the house about 60% of everything as he likes to keep busy and hates to be bored

anyway this morning i woke up n it was half 11 he'd already got the kids up bathed dressed n feed them and was playing games with them when i went down stairs he laughed n said afternoon stranger thanks for my lie in (as a joke) but i then burst into tears saying sorry over n over again what the hell has got into me??

detoxdiva · 08/02/2009 19:55

Welcome to all the newbies

Silently - keeping my fingers crossed for you this week.

Neddie · 08/02/2009 20:32

Hi ladies
I managed to get to the airport and back over the weekend (joys of the Landrover)DP now flying his way back to Germany.
I had mc with first pregnancy at about 11 weeks and was too scared to try again for 3 years. I have 2 lovely children now. I am still scared as it's now twins and I'm old. There isn't any point in worrying but it doesn't stop me checking to see if there are any symptoms of mc starting. I have had about 5 bleeds so far (only small ones) and it is nerve-racking to say the least.

iamamummy · 09/02/2009 14:49

afternoon ladies

Neddie · 09/02/2009 14:59
