The other thread was too long and wouldn't let me add a new message.

I am 8+3 and as my previous m/c's have been at 9 weeks.

Sorry to hear your news sails,

Forever more I think you get bigger quicker because your muscles may not have recovered as well as you thought they had from the previous pregnancy.

I have lost a stone since easter and am expecting it to all start to go down hill very soon.

BabyKairo · 11/02/2009 22:09

Thusnelda - I lol at your reflection on fear of m/c. I found doing a positive ovulation test was more exciting than positive pg test as I felt that if I could ovulate, I could get pg! Altho I realise that all could have been very different.

iamamummy · 12/02/2009 11:57

morning ladies

nothing to report here, have a definate bump and i think....my (.)(.) are getting bigger!! woohoo!!

better get on with the house work.....

MummyWilliams · 12/02/2009 14:47

Hi! Have only posted once so far on this thread. I just wanted to say that I am so sorry to read about the ladies who have lost their pregnancies. I have never been in this situation, so can only imagine how terrible it must be. My thoughts are with you xxx

I am 8+3 today. I have been booked by midwife and have a dating scan booked for 10/03/09.

I do feel that I could possibly be a bit further on, as I can feel a swooshing, tummy turning over feeling quite alot. This is my 3rd pregnancy so may have something to do with that. Although saying that my last child was born nearly 6 years ago. Is anyone else experiencing this and if so how far gone are you?

Have sore (.)(.) and feel very, very tired, no sickness to speak of, but didn't have sickness in previous pregnancies anyway. Quite emotional too!!!

Take care everyone.

cherrylips · 12/02/2009 15:09

My third pregnancy too, and I can feel lots going on in my womb! Have felt movements and bubblings from 8 weeks. I am 9 weeks 2 days now.

mumtobe23 · 12/02/2009 15:55

Hi ladies. Im about 10 weeks and 3 days and its my first, and I might be going mad but I swear i can sometimes feel tiny movements when I'm laying down but I've read that you dont normally feel anything till much later so maybe its my imagination! Im really longing for a little bump but no sign yet!

My scan is on the 03.03.09 and for some reason because I saw the baby on monday at the EPU i'm really nervous about my dating scan, i suppose because I've seen the little thing I'm that much more nervous if something goes wrong between now and then....urgh I wish some one had told me being pregant was so nerwracking! xox

MummyWilliams · 12/02/2009 16:18

cherrylips - can you feel the movements when standing, sitting or lying? I can feel them mostly when sitting, but also slightly when standing. xxx

PurpleCrazyHorse · 12/02/2009 16:21

woo hoo on the bigger (.)(.) will need to get some larger bras soon! DH has noticed which was nice

So pleased to hear about lots of lovely scans happening but a bit Had booking appointment yesterday but have to wait for them to send me the scan date at 12-14wks (currently 9+6). Hmm... feeling a bit inpatient.

MWs are lovely at the birth centre though and as I'm out of area they were so helpful suggesting I attend the middle scans with my local MW so I get to know her for post natal support. Last night it was empty and so was the car park so need to work on a 6:30pm arrival on my due day!!

silentlywondering · 12/02/2009 17:05

Anyone else got a really short temper?

OP posts:
DingALongCow · 12/02/2009 18:00

silentlywondering- I would say no I havent but my husband and daughter would probably beg to differ!

I have had some light movementy feelings too, good to know its not just me! Cant wait for my scan on the 2nd. Am not enjoying the nausea and the sore boobs as much though, sods law I had lost weight and bought loads of lovely new bras before I got pregnant.

Saw the midwife today who lit up when I said I didnt want to go to hospital and is pushing me really hard for a home birth. DH was really anti home birth with our dd but this time he has promised to actually consider it which has surprised me a lot!

TrixieBelden · 12/02/2009 18:15

Hi all - just checking in from my parents' house, where dd and I are spending a fortnight. Such a relief others are starting to show too -- I'm still in my jeans, but am quite a different shape than I was a couple of months ago! I'm 10 weeks today. 25% done...hurrah.

Am also v short-tempered, but that could be because of my present location, if you know what I mean...

Glad people are having good scans, but so sorry for those who aren't. The first trimester is such an anxious time...

LJ29 · 12/02/2009 20:21

Hi ladies, has anyone else started to notice that your symptoms are starting to ease at about 9/10 weeks? I am still tired nd have really sore nipples but the nausea seems to have eased right off in the last couple of days - 9+5 today.

LittleRascal · 12/02/2009 20:32

hi all. yes LJ29- i defo have felt symptoms easing off. as soon as i make my mind to go in for a walk in scan, i chicken out again.and then the next day a huge bout of symptoms come. so i dont know whats going on!! almost feel its better living in a dreamworld and not face reality. 12 weeks this weekend i think so scan on monday- eeeekkkk! am battling to sleep also as i wake up middle of the night thinking about the scan!

TheTickListQueen · 13/02/2009 03:07

LJ29 my nausea eased around 10 weeks (11+2 now) but I still remain tired though that's getting very slightly better. Was great timing as the new term for DS's toddler activities has started which involves a lot of Mummy running around. Couldn't have coped 2 weeks ago.

I'm loving his swimming lessons feels wonderful and relaxing to be in the water.

lemonmoon · 13/02/2009 08:40

My symptoms have eased this week too (9 weeks) but to be honest I haven't had any ms. The only thing hanging around is the tiredness - I now view 10.30 as my bedtime and stay there until 8.30. I've felt like my normal self on a few days this week, which is nice, but obviously makes me worry. Keep telling myself that I can't do anything about it, and I'm gradually accepting that the days of me actually being in control are long gone.

I even managed to go to the gym one day this week and did a good long walk on the treadmill, which felt brilliant after weeks of being a slug on the sofa. Might try to go again this weekend.

peachygirl · 13/02/2009 12:40

Hi everyone. My symptoms ar still quite mild - but they were last time so I'm not worrying.

I saw the GP yesterday which was useful to talk about a couple of things.

I'm not showing yet , though am only 7 weeks so it's all to come. I have lost quite a bit of my baby weight from DD this year and several people have commented that I look very slim (two infact have said I am wasting away!!)They have all asked what I have been doing I just keep thinking HA, thats what early pregnancy does to you!!

detoxdiva · 13/02/2009 12:58

at lemonmoon - am impressed with your 10.30 bedtime.....I have been known to be in bed by 8.30pm this week

PurpleCrazyHorse · 13/02/2009 13:34

Tee hee DetoxDiva I'm also struggling to stay awake past 9pm. In fact I'm knackered just walking the mile from the rail station to work.

Off the chocolate which is no bad thing and after my viral stomach bug on Tues, I'm less bloated-looking. MS has also eased and I'm pleased others are feeling better too.

Neddie · 13/02/2009 13:49

Hi
No more bleeds this week yipee. Unfortunately (I can't remember if I posted this on this thread) but I trod on a 4 inch nail (yes it went right in all the way)and had to go to casualty this week. I feel just bleugh all the time sickly but not sick. Tired at about 7pm but then awake from about 2am have my first proper anti-natal appointment on Tuesday-although i have already seen the little blobs a couple of weeks ago. I am 8 weeks and 5 days. I am convinced that it's boys as I can do nothing but eat tomatoes (savories) and last times it was mangoes and fruit.

Thusnelda · 13/02/2009 15:08

I'm also off the chocolate! And off any hot drinks. I do kind of miss the comfort of a cup of tea or coffee but can only face cold drinks at the moment. Cold & sparkling.

Yes, and I too go to bed early and rise as late as possible.
And I'm easily upset at times. (Nothing new really)

Snowfalls108 · 13/02/2009 15:50

coffee makes me blurgh. Chocolate same! In fact anything sweet. Weird.

MummyWilliams · 13/02/2009 16:00

I'm quite the opposite, I can't get enough Chocolate! But I know its BAD so am trying to be GOOD

I am really tired by 7pm. Go to bed by 9.30pm, asleep by 9.31pm lol! xxx

mumtobe23 · 13/02/2009 17:30

Yes I'm the same about the going to bed early getting up late. I also find sparkling cold drinks soo good right now, and, weirdly they have helped me feel less sick , but i've noticed Im not feeling sick in the mornings now I'm 11 weeks, not that I was much before.
I feel like an old woman sometimes! xx

lemonmoon · 13/02/2009 20:56

I confess I can stay up so late because I work at home...

Funny about the fizzy drinks - I've developed a taste for lemonade/sprite/7up lately, and I never drink anything fizzy.

Neddie I can barely think about your having a nail in your foot, but good news about the other bleeding

am definitely not off the chocolate - have eaten enough maltesers this week to fill a handbag.

MummyWilliams · 14/02/2009 06:57

lemonmoon - maltesers
