The other thread was too long and wouldn't let me add a new message.

I am 8+3 and as my previous m/c's have been at 9 weeks.

Brilliant iamamummy and AprilMeadow. I am getting nervous about my scan on Monday!

Congrats to those with postive scans
I had mine today and baby is still alive, on target for growth and has good hb. Can't quite believe it but very happy. Good luck with your scan next week silently. I'm going back to lurking (until next scan in 2 weeks).

cautiousmumtobe · 09/02/2009 18:41

iamamummy and aprilmeadow - congratulations on your scan news. I've not been on for a few days so had to find the new thread! I had a scan on Thursday which showed a stong heartbeat thank goodness. I had no idea how nervous I was until I walked into the room and burst into tears before they even did anything! Anyway, all seems to be well and we saw our 1 little bubba growing nicely. Scan put my due date to 13 Sept. I had 11th so not too far out. That makes me 9+1 today too AprilMeadow.

MS has got worse over the weekend and was actually sick on Friday morning. Result was that we confessed all to the parents so that they could mind DD for a bit whilst I caught up on some badly needed sleep (really did not sleep at all night before the scan!). I think tierdness definitely contributes so much. DH has been a star all weekend letting my lie in and running round after the lively 21 month old leaving me to rest. I feel a lot better today. Definitely have found that eating small amounts every 1.5 - 2 hours helps massively.

Silently - fingerscrossed for Monday. 16th is a good number for me so hopefully it will be for you too.

Sails · 09/02/2009 19:49

WelshJellyBelly · 09/02/2009 21:08

BabyKairo · 09/02/2009 21:10

Sails. How sad. You've prompted my first posting. I am 8+4 and it feels like I've been pg 4 ever. I am so sick, but having seen hb scan on saturday and reading your sad news I will stay focused on the positives.

silentlywondering-I also have a scan on Mon-eeeek!!!!

mumtobe23 · 10/02/2009 10:24

urgh i've had a horrible two days! I woke up yesterday to find (sorry if TMI) brown liquid stuff when i wiped. Went rushing down to my EPU and waited for hours. We got a scan and saw the baby for the first time! It was amazing, it was moving about and every thing, & it had a goodheartbeat.
But I'm still getting this light brown liquid stuff like just before i get my period and i known ive been told its common but it is still freaking me out! I was just starting to sit back and get less nervous and then this happens!
Does anyone know how long this might go on for before I should go back to the EPU?
I'm sorry to hear your bad news sails xx

LittleRascal · 10/02/2009 10:54

Mamatobe23- shame that must be scary.awesome you saw your little one!!! Why not wait aweek then go back next Monday to see that all is ok and put your mind at ease. Keep rested, drink lots and apparently eat bananas. Keep us posted

MsBrandybuck · 10/02/2009 11:35

Hi all, Can I join you please? I think I'm due 25 Sep but not sure of my LMP. Have got an early scan tomorrow and am now really nervous. I'm 42 and have one DS aged 2.5 but this is my 4th pregnancy. I had a miscarriage years ago and an ectopic before DS hence my nervousness with the scan. Keep telling myself that having the scan doesn't change anything, but it is better to know...almost convinced now lol.

WelshJellyBelly · 10/02/2009 12:18

Welcome MsBrandybuck Hope everything goes ok for you tomorrow i'll keep my fingers crossed for you

cautiousmumtobe · 10/02/2009 12:39

sails - so sorry to hear your news. Thinking of you.

msbrandybuck - congratulations and welcome. This is my 4th pg but I only have one DD to show for all that effort. Expect a long booking in appointment going through all the history of previous pregnancies. I was there for 2 hours! Why they can't just roll this information forward as it's all been at the same hospital is beyond me. I'll keep everything crossed for you.

Neddie · 10/02/2009 14:33

Hi msbrandybuck, congratulations.
Mumtobe23- I am in the same boat-every couple of days- had a scan 2 weeks ago and both (yes) fine so far with heartbeats etc.I have my first planned anti-natal appointment on Tuesday next week. I did not bleed with my last two pregnancies so it is worrying. There is nothing you can do but take it easy.

forevermore · 10/02/2009 14:45

hi all can i join in. sail sorry to hear your news. Like a previous poster said it has made feel like i need to get a grip and stop lurking. I have been given due date of 16th sept but I think I am due before that. I have had a scan at 5weeks and then saw heartbeat following another scan at 6+6. I did about 8 pregnancy tests too .

I have never had a m/c but have supported a close friend through three failed IVF attempts this last year and I got a BFP having only TTC for 2 week, so I feel a mixture of the following ashamed/blessed/anxious/too good to be true/when will my bubble burst. I guess I didn't realise how the emotional rollercoaster of last year really affected me. to top it all once I told my friend about my BFP she started acting really wierd, at first saying she didn't want to talk about it, then asking me non-stop questions and then being negative about how i would cope whilst working full-time in a pressurised job and having DD1 already. Now we have fallen out.

anyway i have rambled on a bit sorry but feeling very emotional and really worried about m/c now. I would really feel embarassed asking for another scan so thinking of getting a private scan just to put my mind at rest because seeing a heartbeat now (around 9 weeks) will be more definitive........thats the theory anyway.

does anyone know how i go about getting a private scan?

Snowfalls108 · 10/02/2009 15:50

sorry to hear your news Sails.

I'm trying to get an early scan - a friend of a friend is a midwife specialising in early pregnancy and she has offered me one, so going to take her up on it. Not sure waiting another 3 weeks would be bearable!

I just got back from a weekend in the states - very weird experience. I'm finding I can only eat healthy food at the moment, anything fatty, sweet or greasy just makes me want to throw up. Very tricky when in the US to find healthy stuff! Portion sizes of everything was so huge that we took to ordering just one portion between me and my DH and even then there was leftovers.

Flight back was interesting - lots of lovely ms. I had to ask for a sick bag on the descent, sure they thought it was just because I was bad flyer.

Straight into work after the flight, now struggling to keep my eyes open - I think I'm going to sleep for a week after this!

Very excited as I'm telling my parents this weekend - yipeee!

Snowfalls108 · 10/02/2009 17:27

yipeee - Scan tomorrow! so excited and nervous.
