The other thread was too long and wouldn't let me add a new message.

I am 8+3 and as my previous m/c's have been at 9 weeks.

Spent most of last night in A&E in tears. Had abdominal pains and thought the worst. Turns out to be an UTI though so I am now on anti-biotics need to go back to GP on tuesday for another urine test.

Scan on Monday feeling really nervous about it.

That's horrible silentlywondering - you must have been beside yourself with worry. Fingers crossed all is well tomorrow.

detoxdiva · 15/02/2009 08:31

Silently - hope you are feeling better now & good luck for the scan tomorrow. I am sure all will be well.

silentlywondering · 15/02/2009 08:44

Thanks for the kind messages. Am keeping fingers crossed for tomorrow and antibiotics seem to be kicking in so hopefully all will be ok.

Good luck for tomorrow silently

cherrylips · 15/02/2009 11:52

MummyWilliams I can feel movements usually when I am resting, sitting down, lying down, but also sometimes when standing, I will notice them as well.

This is also my 3rd pregnancy, and I've always felt my babies moving really early on. Ds 1 : 13 weeks. DD1 : 12 weeks.

But this takes the biscuit, 8 weeks!! Maybe it is due to all the dry biscuits I've been nibbling to quell nausia!!

But I do find it reassuring I'm sure its because its our third, and the walls of our wombs are more sensitive.

cherrylips · 15/02/2009 12:06

Good luck for tomorrow silently.

ladylush · 15/02/2009 13:24

Silently - sorry to hear you've been in pain with a UTI but glad you are having treatment for it. Have everything crossed for you tomorrow.

I had a terrible shock on Friday night. Discovered my panty liner soaked in bright red blood Had a scan yesterday morning and all fine with baby. It was the sub-chorionic haematoma being expelled. I was warned to expect some bleeding but I didn't realise it would be so much and so suddenly. I just wish I could be put to sleep for a few weeks until I'm into the 2nd trimester.

Hope everyone else ok.

AprilMeadow · 15/02/2009 15:33

Good luck for tomorrow Silently. Am glad that the AB's are helping with the UTI pain.

Ladylush that must have been very scary for you. Am pleased that all is well with baby though.

Am 10weeks today - yay for double figures! 25% of the way through. I guess i should get my nuchal scan date through this week. I did get my maternity exemption card through which probably means i wont get ill and need AB's until the day after the certificate runs out

Stretch · 15/02/2009 16:24

Hi all, was on the other thread, but had a threatened mc so didn't want to post for a bit. Had a scan and turns out bean is fine! Put me back 2 days though which is quite annoying!! So my new due date is 16th Sept.

I am however suffering from hyperemesis which isn't so great. Got to get some meds on Mon. It's so annoying when people tell you to eat little and often!! If I could eat, I would!! Is there a support thread for hyperemesis?

So sorry for you sails.

peachygirl · 15/02/2009 19:13

Gosh, silently hope everything goes OK on monday.

Glad things are good for you too Lady lush and strech (apart from the sickness), try starting a thread, or doing a search about the hyperemnesis there have been lots of threads before.

April I never used my pervious matenity exemption card for any prescriptions. Just got my dental. I felt a bit short changed really!

AprilMeadow · 15/02/2009 19:31

I dont even qualify for free dental as i am on a dental plan and it doesnt take into account maternity exemption. So really i end up with nothing except perhaps a new asthma inhaler about 1wk before the card runs out just to make sure i got something!

ladylush · 15/02/2009 19:35

Thanks April and Peachy - it was a huge relief but I am still so nervous and won't properly join until I am 12 weeks.

Stretch - glad all going well with your lo though sorry about the hyperemesis

silentlywondering · 16/02/2009 08:03

App in an hour and 45 mins feel really nervous. Will post when i get back.

Just a quickie to say best of luck for today silently. The diagnosis of the UTI must have been reassuring after that horrid experience as it can account for all that pain.

oh ladylush what a scary experience - glad all is ok, but can completely understand what you mean about not feeling safe to join until 12 weeks. Everytime I do something that acknowledges the pregnancy, I then stupidly think I've cursed it in some way . Roll on September!

iamamummy · 16/02/2009 09:58

hi ladies

silenty - poor u with the uti must have been so scary for you. glad you are on the mend and good luck with your scan.

ladylush - what a relief about the bleeding. glad all is well.

stretch - for hyperemisis. hope it subsides soon.

all seems to be ok here, i got the job on friday and start this thursday only reservation is its night work but the lack of being able to not sleep at the moment might just come in handy!

xx

iamamummy · 16/02/2009 09:59

oh and im 8 weeks today - seems like i have soooo far to go

ladylush · 16/02/2009 12:36

Thanks bobber and iamamummy Hope to be joining you on the thread in 2 weeks. Agree - time goes so slowly. I envy those women who don't find out they're pg til they're 6 months gone!

LittleRascal · 16/02/2009 13:43

any news yet silently?
Got my scan in 2 hours time- sooo nervous!!!!

ladylush · 16/02/2009 14:22

Good luck LittleRascal

littlewifey · 16/02/2009 14:36

Hi Ladies, sorry I haven't posted for a while, felt like I've been having a nervous breakdown here so have been lurking but not posting! We went for an early scan 2 weeks ago and showed baby at 6 weeks with a HB which reassured me, although not completely as MMC before was at 6.5 wks, so in my mind still not past danger zone IYKWIM! Anyway last mon, all my symptoms suddenly stopped and I convicned myself it was another MMC. DH convinced me to go for another scan today and I am so relieved to say that baby now measuring 8 wks with a strong HB :-) I was so convinced it had all gone wrong again and even though I know there is still a long way to go til 12weeks I feel so happy right now! Sorry for this me, me, me post! I hope everyone else is ok? Silently, I have been thinking of you whilst waiting for my scan today and hope it is good news for you also xx

Snowfalls108 · 16/02/2009 15:40

it is completely nerve racking isn't it.

I had two days on Thursday and Friday without vomitting and my boobs stopped hurting, rather than enjoying it I was panicing that something had gone wrong! And that's even after a scan on Wednesday showing a healthy heart beat - apparantly if you see a heart beat after 8 weeks chances of an MC reduce down to 2% and if you see one after 10 weeks it's down to 0.4%

Some of us must be at 12 weeks now?

littlewifey · 16/02/2009 15:43

Yes snowfalls, the sonographer told me those stats today too x

Hangingbellyofbabylon · 16/02/2009 17:20

Hi I've been lurking as can't quite allow myself to believe it's all ok. Had scan at 5+6 and saw a heartbeat but now 9+6 so it's been ages and ages and it's hard not to worry. However, morning sickness still here and sore boobs so no reason to believe it isn't ok really. Also, I feel huge already! it's so random, I just can't hold in my tum already, it's like a little bump just sticking out a bit! has anyone else found this? (this is my 3rd and I also have really poor stomach muscles obviously..)
