I thought Diege spoke Scouse!

Gyo has the poshest, sloaniest accent I bet!

NatalieJane · 05/02/2009 16:08

Bill Bailey? You lot are freaks!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 05/02/2009 16:12

PMSL about me having a posh accent..

Admitting to be southerner through and through... Not sure I'd say posh though i can do a super telephone voice when needed

So, Nat- do you have a farmer giles accent- itching to know now!

lastboxoftampons · 05/02/2009 16:12

And he's a musician Astarte That's got to count for something!

My most embarrassing one - which I think I'm over now, BTW - was Horatio from CSI.

NatalieJane · 05/02/2009 16:13

Nope, not farmer-eze enough for any fantasies to be played out I'm afraid, it's a bit mixed between farmer giles, posh Cheltenham, dog end Bedford (throw outs from north London), and not a twang of northern-esque, but I do use their words - brew instead of tea, pants instead of trousers, trucks and wagons instead of lorries.

But I can't win, up here I sound like a posh southerner, down in Bedford I sound like a posh Cheltonian, in Cheltenham I sound like a 'north London lass'....

I don't know really.

I thought it was Barack Obama but apparently everyone has a brush on him.

Probably Gary Linekar.

BRUSH WTF!!!!!!!

CRUSH Even.

Nat tell us!! We wont laugh.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 05/02/2009 16:15

Think Nat gets the prize for the most cross bred accent... can anyone top that?

Poss LBOT?

Diege · 05/02/2009 16:16

I've guessed NAT, it's Worsel isn't it , or someone from the Houghton Weavers
ASARTE, Simon is merely in touch with his feminine side, hence the occasional camp-ness which I personally find very attractive...I'm sure he's quite, shall we say assertive in the bedroom dept, which I can guarantee is more than you can say for Bill... Oh and no Scouse accent...North Walien which is a mix of Welsh, Scouse and Manc!
Oh and I know for a fact that the posh-est wagon member is LG&T

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 05/02/2009 16:16

Did wonder about the brush there Kay- thought I'd missed some bizarre northern sexual practice....

NatalieJane · 05/02/2009 16:18

PMSL at cross bred, will tell DH that one

And Kay, no, nope, absolutely not, never, ever, no Not worried about you laughing, more that I'll be tossed off the wagon, never to be spoken of again

kayzr · 05/02/2009 16:18

I have a awful accent. A real Norfolk country 'combine harvester' bumpkin mixed with a North 'of t'pub' Yorkshire accent.

OP posts:
NatalieJane · 05/02/2009 16:19

LMAO, sorry, meant tossed off the wagon didn't even click what I'd written till I'd pressed post....

ohsnap · 05/02/2009 16:20

LG&T must be posh, large and gin and tonic fgs! If she was from round here she'd be GirtPint.

Astarte · 05/02/2009 16:21

rofl at Horatio from csi miami. He's so intense, he's gotta be good in the sack

Nat you have to spill!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 05/02/2009 16:21

Ooh Diege- you must have accent like my DH, he is from (kinda) Nwales... although he tries hard to cover his orgin, it sometimes slips out after a glass of wine

kayzr · 05/02/2009 16:22

Come on Nat. It can't be worse than Bill Bailey.

OP posts:
GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 05/02/2009 16:23

all this laughing is making the baby go mad inside.. think its protesting...

lastboxoftampons · 05/02/2009 16:23

Can't even fathom all of these accents! Especially since my friends and I referred to DH as "the Australian guy" for the first two weeks I knew him!

Diege · 05/02/2009 16:24

Ooh GYO what part of N.Wales??? (we could be related, tis a small place...)

lastboxoftampons · 05/02/2009 16:25

Ooooh GYO Your DH sounds like my MIL! She's from Yorkshire, but has adopted a London accent for the majority of her life Even DH calls her out on it sometimes!

NatalieJane · 05/02/2009 16:25

I quite like the Welsh accent, and love the Irish, in fact the only accent (or just people's speech in general) that really get's on my nerves is anything I have to try too hard to understand, I give up and end up nodding along to everything they say.

Astarte · 05/02/2009 16:25

Ugly ones try harder don't men say Diege? He's talented I just know it!
SC spends far too much being seen in Spearmint Rhino and it's ilk, I'm telling he's trying hard with the PR.

Nat, I think I just leaked at you being tossed off!

Gyo the fact you have a 'super' telephone voice says everything. I spend all my telephone time spelling everything I say

I agree I get the impression Gin is rather posh

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 05/02/2009 16:28

Very relieved to have passed the posh baton to LG&T....

Diege- they all live in various ares but near to Rhyl for past years.

Astarte · 05/02/2009 16:29

LBOT, just for context, I sound like Cheryl Cole

I like the Irish accent too.

Diege · 05/02/2009 16:29

I'm willing to give Simon a try, as I hear he's in between women at the moment (though pregnant mother of 3 would hardly be his type I don't think!)
