LB, glad you had sucha lovely day with your friend. If I were you I think I would have been tempted to tell dh about some very strong contractions to really make him think you were going into labour when he was drunk - but then I'm like that
SES, was it your birthday yesterday?? . If so, happy belated birthday!!! Know what you mean about mc and dates. It would have been my due date on the 12th, and while I was little sad I agree that it does really help being pregnant again at the same time as significant dates.
STAR, lol at ds and his 'bug' . Sounds something vaguely dd1-like - think I have some preparation with her and future ds, but it will be interesting!

Been away as my pc has contracted a horrid virus that pretends to be antivirus software! So MN withdrawal reached a peak today so I've dug out my work pc to catch up!

Ast- very impressed at your long walks.. I can barely walk around shops (this time with DH with me to carry shopping and I've got (allegedly) another 4wks to go!

We are just about to do a body cast thing... think it will be hilarious from start to finish. Hope I can sit still long enough . Oh and nursery is almost done now- cat has already made bed on changing mat!

BTW question for the wise wagoners... Did anyone else get a lot of aches and pains in bump area in last four weeks or so before birth and still go to term? I get a lot of tightenings that hurt like stitches, a lot of lower back aches and low bump aches at night... Am wondering if its normal or I might go early....

Bump has dropped again further too- although that isnt much of an indicator itself.....

Hi GYO! Sounds like you're all set ythere with nursery finished etc - v.impressed
Re: going early, I've had aches etc in lower bump from about 35 weeks and went to 39 +2 with dd1 (39 +2 with dd2, 39+1 with dd3). Think for some people they can get tightenings etc from early on, but go late, and those that go early can have no warning signs whatsoever. So, from my experience(s), could be early, on time , or 2 weeks late!

Oh meant to ask GYO - what do you wear under your gown for message??? Have never had one before, so assume bra and knickers??

Guess that I will just have to see what happens... I could do with it waiting a couple of weeks but I've not issue with it coming around 38wks

For the masssage, I was asked to strip to just knickers and cover myself in a long sarong/sheet thing.. she just rolled me onto each side and help me cover us as we went... Was good to be bra less as it meant she could do back massage more easily... How exciting

How is your breathing thing going? is it getting worse?

That would make sense I suppose (just knickers!). I have been living in maternity thongs so will need to make sure I take a full bottomed pair .
Still short of breath/lightheaded, though comes and goes (fine yesterday, back again today).Struggling even to get full sentences out without taking breath in between - hoping I'll be able to lecture ok!
Hadn't realised you had such a short time to go GYO - imagine if you overtook ASTARTE and LB . On that note, hope GLASK is ok..also where is NAT???!!!!

Its odd how the breathing comes and goes.. I used to have really bad days and good days but it is better now that Im not working... Hope yours is ok for lecturing... hope you can sit down while you are lecturing, that helps slightly I found.

I was wondering where Nat is too... probably very busy looking after her 3 boys

Just done the bump cast thing which was great fun but I really had no idea how big the bump was til I looked after... Now to clean the plaster of the kitchen floor

oh, I went in a thong, so the nice lady doing a massage got a view of my rear throughout wish I'd thought about wearing "proper pants"!

Our breathlessness sounds similar in its pattern. Glad yours seems to be improving with rest .

I knew DS1 was a boy but had no idea really with DS2.

Morning everyone. I have been having really dull period like pains all night, finally slept at about 3 only to be woken by dd at 6 because she has gone through her nappy.... I am so tired but hope these pains progress into something this time.... If not then I have my sweep on Thursday!!!

GYO the pains you describe sound like BH to me. I have been getting them since about 32 weeks with this baby, and with dd I had them from about 36 weeks I think. Although they are uncomfortable, unfortunately they are no indication of labour..... (Oh how I wish they were)

Kay how did DS2 sleep last night???

DS2 woke up at quarter to 5. Which wasn't too bad but DS1 got up at 5 and refused to go back to bed so DH got up with him in the end.

Just had a text from Glask. She thinks her waters have gone. She was on her way to the hospital when I got the message and the battery on her mobile was dying. So she said she'd let me know what was going on when she could. Will be thinking of her all day.

GYo - bump cast sounds fun!!

We had a good wkend and now I have a week off work (except for meeting all day tomorrow). Meal out on Saturday was good. Then we came back and watched Mama Mia! DH kept complaining that he wasn't enjoying it and has said he won't be watching it again. I did manage to get him to stop complaining after the first half hour...

Then yesterday we had some friends round in the afternoon and DH cooked roast beef and I did a bread & butter pudding. I had quite a few birthday cards but it seems I'm in for an extended birthday (shame )!!
DH's treat up to London is next weekend and Mum's taking me out for lunch and shopping either Wed or Thurs. Today I've got my pilates again this morning and then round to a friend's for lunch (and - she tells me - my pressie!), off to look at curtains & blinds and then manicure and pedicure this afternoon!

Yesterday afternoon I started getting really bad pains in my buttocks. I was really struggling to walk and felt really silly. Don't know what I'd done and hoping it's nothing like SPD. This morning feels much better although still a little tight. Hoping pilates will help.
