mathsmummy27 · 02/02/2009 18:50

Hi Puzzle, I am here too (briefly)

Eaten all the cookies. feel a bit sick
We have about eight inches of snow! However, it's my day off tomorrow anyway so slightly wasted. How is everyone doing? Nutty? xx

SpringySunshine · 02/02/2009 18:51

sigh I only just got home after a total nightmare journey. The worst bit of which wasn't caused by the snow but a complete prick at New Street station. However, I shall catch up (I'm very worried about Boffin, for a start!) & perhaps rant later.

Kitty, your freaks sound great I've never understood the foot fetish thing - feet are inherently ugly, IMO. & I imagine it's way harder to be discreet looking at someone's feet than their boobs - at least you can glance between face & boobs more easily.

BB, the sex in the shower would not be bad at all. Sex with Addison was bad because he didn't love her. He'll love me. It'll be fantastic shower sex. & bed sex. & exam room sex. & every room of the house of candles sex. Oh yes.

Boffin, can I come & live with you? Your village sounds amazing. So glad that the contractions have stopped.

Oh God, I just did a really undignified snort of laughter through my nose at Bleu's 'think mismatched mating crabs' It comes to something when DP doesn't even ask what I'm laughing at - he's obviously used to me chortling away at you lot these days

Chocolate custard definitely exists & Wotsits are evil - BB, I bet McDreamy hates Wotsits, which is therefore more proof that he should be mine

I am just about to send DP the link to that McSteamy clip I found for Nutty. I shall report back with my concerns for his sexuality.

Auld, yay for benefits! What are you going to spend the money on?

Nutty, I'm really, really sorry to hear that you're not in a happy place & that things are so rubbish. But before I even read the whole lot of what the physio said I have to tell you that I thought that you said 'my scrotum is hugely swollen' & had to do a double take It could always be worse Right. Oh dear Complete bedrest? It's good that they're trying to do the right things for you now & reviewing it next week with the physio & consultant - it sounds like they are making an effort. But obviously it's not good news. I suppose the main good news is that every day is one day closer to getting this baby out of you. I wish I could give you a massive hug & make you cups of tea & bring you yummy things to snack on, though. How awful. How was your MIL? & yes, I shall lend you my McDreamy as BB suggests.

DP saw the McSteamy clip & as it was loading asked 'will this be relevant to my interests?', to which of course the answer was yes. He's now complaining that it wasn't & that it's in his browser history but he did watch the full length of it & didn't look up that many times, so...

LuLu, bless your DD Oink oink, indeed. How adorable.

Puzzle, I had sex with a colleague a few times, but never at work. We snogged & groped in the lifts & that's about it. & I'm also missing out on fantastically strange dreams about being force fed crack & Britney Spears. I am very

SpringySunshine · 02/02/2009 18:53

I'm here too, it's just taken me half an hour to catch up

How are you feeling now, Nutty?

BabyBolat · 02/02/2009 19:00

Springy, I don't want to have to fight you for him but I will sit on you!!! HE IS MINE - actually he eats cheesy crisps in series 4 so clearly he loves me and he likes muesli for b/fast which is what I have (when I am not craving beef sandwiches!) therefore he loves me! AND not to get nasty but he likes a lot of smelling in the elevator and as you can't smell, I think that rules you out yay I won. Nutty I will lend you MY McDreamy - Springy you can have George or Alex or even McVet - No Denny he is lovely and very rich!!!

What happened on your journey home?

BabyBolat · 02/02/2009 19:22

Puzzle - I think you may have got the last post!

SpringySunshine · 02/02/2009 19:23

Cheesy crisps do not equate to Wotsits! Nice try, but no! & just because I can't smell doesn't mean that he can't smell me! It just means that I don't have to worry about his trouty aroma - it's meant to be! & as if you're taking Denny off the table as well! Are you trying to break my heart?

One of the saddest television moments ever is when he & Izzy can sense each other in the hospital & they stand there for a moment... Oh, it kills me every time. I don't even want the money, he's just lovely.

My journey back was a pain in the bum in general. It took ages & the tram between the train station & my flat was so packed that I was literally struggling to breathe whilst people used me as some kind of leaning post. But the worst bit was on the way down to the platform in New Street. There was about 15 minutes until the train arrived & I was heading down the steps, which weren't at all crowded, when a man with a briefcase went barging past & knocked right into me, sending me lurching forwards. If I hadn't rearranged myself already so I was holding my bag in my other hand in case I needed to grab onto the handrail, I'd have gone flying.

So, terrified & full of adrenaline, I shouted 'oi' after him, which he ignored. So I shouted it again, at which point he turned around & yelled 'what?!' back in a really stroppy tone. I said, loudly enough for everyone to hear, that he'd just knocked into me & nearly sent me flying, & that he'd not even apologised or glanced back to see if I was okay. At which point he got really aggressive & started coming back up the stairs towards me & said that I was going to make him miss his (my) train & that if I did I'd have to pay for him to have a replacement ticket & cover his expenses. Oh, & he called me a 'stupid, overly-sensitive woman'. With plenty of venom in the word 'woman', oddly.

I held my ground though, despite him only being a couple of steps below me & said really loudly (now that people were gathering on the stairs & were coming back out from the platforms to see what was going on) 'Oh? And what do I get if I lose my baby because a stupid, self-important man knocks me down the stairs?'.

He mumbled something - I still don't know what it was, or even what tone it was said in - & flounced off. He had lots of people glaring at him, but I doubt he cared. People were also quite smiley at me, but nobody said anything to either of us. But as you can imagine, it was a really unpleasant experience. Some people are just awful.

oooh springy well done for standing your ground and very good comeback! so good - what an arse! (you still don't get mcDreamy - you can have Denny and his beautiful grin!),

GA is full of so very many sad moments, when Meredith drowns and he sits there with Mark waiting and just looking so lost! I love that bit with Denny and Izzy and I also hate it when he dies and she lays there - AND the saddest episode has to be the when the man and the woman are speared by the train thing and he is so lovely to the girl that has to die, lying about her little toes and telling her fiance that if love was enough she would still be there and then tells meredith he chooses Addison (and the tears in the elevator) - oooh I cry so much even when I am not knocked up!

I can't believe you are saying my fantasy bf smells of trout - you clearly don't love him!!

Yay Nutty glad you are feeling a but better get DH to spoil you lots!

BabyBolat · 02/02/2009 19:36

a bit better even!

BoffinMum · 02/02/2009 19:38

Oh Springy, you were magnificent! The perfect ripost! The kind of ripost I would always like to make but never think of at the time! The sisterhood is proud of you ...

BabyBolat · 02/02/2009 19:40

Springy just sent you a f/book message x

BabyBolat · 02/02/2009 19:42

I have a badge making machine (from my days PRing a toy company) - we should design Fanjo Warriors logo's and everytime someone does a good fanjo warrior deed - like Springy today - I will send you a FW badge! Now does anyone have any good ideas for a logo design?

SpringySunshine · 02/02/2009 19:42

Is DH looking after you, Nutty? What's he said about it all?

AuldAlliance · 02/02/2009 19:44

Puzzle, how did you do that? When I posted, the red message popped up saying the thread was full. Do you have inside connections at MN Towers?

Springy, I've been sneakily eyeing up the Amby beds again, now I feel so rich. I really need to decide!

MIL has passed on to me a huge pile of baby clothes from her daughter and neice, which is a nice gesture, except that when we discussed it before Christmas she said she had none and would let me have a few cardigans she'd knitted. So I bought loads of stuff in the sales and now don't have room for the box of things she has given me. Storage is a real problem in my house; I suppose people had so little stuff in the 18th century they didn't need cupboards. The only thing vaguely resembling one is a niche in which you are supposed to put a little statue of a saint, which isn't that useful for keeping babygros and stuff in, especially as it's in the living room. MIL isn't going to be best pleased if I post the whole lot straight back to her, though...

BabyBolat · 02/02/2009 19:46

hmmm, can you put them under the bed Auld???

BabyBolat · 02/02/2009 19:46

How you feeling Boff and more uterus upsets?

BoffinMum · 02/02/2009 19:48

Ta for asking, BB. It is grumbling away a bit but in a minor way, and certainly not like this morning.

AuldAlliance · 02/02/2009 19:48

Just catching up:
Springy that man was awful and you were great. Hope you can forget about him, he's not worth thinking about.
Nutty, so sorry to hear how bad you are feeling. I don't have much advice or comfort for you, but am sending sympathetic vibes over the miles from Provence...

BabyBolat · 02/02/2009 19:49

Good, Is DH back and taking care of you?

BabyBolat · 02/02/2009 19:51

That was to Boff BTW!

AuldAlliance · 02/02/2009 19:51

BB, the bed already hides: all DH's climbing gear (including an entire rucksack full of ropes), all DS's old clothes (age 0-3) and a carrycot. Hides being a relative term; the junk sticks out round the sides in an attractive fashion.

Maybe I could sneakily send the climbing gear to Boffin for her to try out the shower sex scenario, thus freeing up enough space to shove MIL's knitted bootees in there for a few months.

BabyBolat · 02/02/2009 19:57

Oh dear Auld - um pass - although sure Boffin will like the extra help

SpringySunshine · 02/02/2009 20:02

Is DH looking after you, Nutty? What's he said about it all?

I may possibly settle for Denny, if you're lucky. We'll see. Only if he doesn't ever die, though.

It's awful when Izzy's lying on the bed with him, & Alex has to pick her up & move her away. The train episode absolutely crippled me. Oh, & when Cristina's in Burke's apartment after the wedding & she's noticed all of the little things have gone & she's crying & saying that she's free - but despite everything you know that that's the last thing she wants to be But I do think that I may quite love the new man (based on the first 2 episodes of season 5), so I'm glad that Burke's gone. He was a bit of a passive aggressive loser, really.

Thanks for your Fanjo Warrior pride - I think it was the spirit of the Fanjo Warriors that got into me, actually - I was really tempted to just let it go, but didn't want to let you all down It's not often that we get a chance to stand up for ourselves during these 9 months, so I went for it

Bleuravin · 02/02/2009 20:05

Evening everyone, DH come early from work and we umm...got distracted... I do so love him. Then i made supper and sent him out for a bike ride.
