Anyone for a homemade choc-chip cookie?

The food, I meant, not the shower with a hunky bloke, though that sounds tasty too (if one can stand up, I agree that's vital to operations).

Just had a letter saying I'm entitled to 890 euros of benefits for the birth, am going to look at baby products websites tonight.

BoffinMum · 02/02/2009 14:30

I would certainly share the pork pie with any man that successfully facilitated a shower-related shag right now.

Bleuravin · 02/02/2009 14:33

Boffin, you were supposed to be taking it easy I glad that the contractions have gone away and you've stocked up on yummy heart warm treats for your family. I was thinking of doing that too on the way back from lunch but decided that my sciatica was acting up and I was just too tired, so I'm back lazing on the couch.

As for showers and hunky men...delicious! and standing up is a necessity but be wary if you haven't got the slip proof floor because things can get very painful and awkward when you slip -think mismatched mating crabs...

BoffinMum · 02/02/2009 14:35

Maybe occupational health supply special hoists for SPD ladies to shag in showers with? I should ask ...

Bleuravin · 02/02/2009 14:35

DH suggested rock climbing rigging once...

BoffinMum · 02/02/2009 14:36

I had to go out Bleu because there are 6 of us at home at the moment and I was the only one who could drive until DH gets home, and we were going to run out of protein-related items.

BoffinMum · 02/02/2009 14:37

That sounds excellent, I will hunt out a couple of carabiner and steal the ropes from the swing immediately!!

Bleuravin · 02/02/2009 14:38

Oh I do understand Boffin...

AuldAlliance · 02/02/2009 14:38

BTW there is a thread here about that article, with a few comparisons between the UK and other countries, incl France.

Bleuravin · 02/02/2009 14:39

lol Boffin...

AuldAlliance · 02/02/2009 14:40

I love the whipsy flakes of snow falling from the sky.
If only they would stick!

LuLuBai · 02/02/2009 15:03

Thanks AA

(was over on the last thread on my own [blush})

AuldAlliance · 02/02/2009 15:04

But it meant I got to post the very last message, just before the thread got too full...

Bleuravin · 02/02/2009 15:08

lol Auld

Bleuravin · 02/02/2009 15:10

I have just discovered Wotsits...They're just like Cheetos Cheese Puffs.. MMMMmmm I used to crave them when I was a kid. (We never had crisps or the like except few and far between- mostly birthdays)

LuLuBai · 02/02/2009 15:10

OK - had a little look at that report.

Interesting, deliberately provocative and I would think largely designed to generate column inches on behalf of the Children's Society.

(Cynical, moi? Before I became a SAHM I used to run the press office of a large charity)

Bleuravin · 02/02/2009 15:11

By the way does custard come in chocolate flavor or am I wasting my time looking?

LuLuBai · 02/02/2009 15:11

Ha ha ha - Auld - a win win for you!

Bleuravin · 02/02/2009 15:13

I was thinking that too Lulu... column inch capitalistic report...

BabyBolat · 02/02/2009 15:13

LuLu def designed to get column inches but from a brand perspective think they have made a massive massive mistake because they have alienated a large proportion of the population which will not do them any favours in their brand support seeing as these families are their key audience!

Bleu - ooooh I love wotsits

LuLuBai · 02/02/2009 15:13

Do you know I think I have seen chocolate custard. If not, could you stir some cocoa into your custard?

(sorry if that thought has made anyone gag)

Bleuravin · 02/02/2009 15:14

though there are some good points.

AuldAlliance · 02/02/2009 15:15

Yep, and provided momentary respite from the marking... nearly finished now, but have to go and get DS.

Bleu: maybe you have to make your own, though I'm sure someone in the UK makes chocolate custard.

Bleuravin · 02/02/2009 15:16

Hmmm I was wondering if doing so would affect the consistency of the custard too much... I reeeeaallly want a bowl of choclate pudding (custard) though so might try it...
