Barbarella glad things are going so well for you!
Oooh babyshower! Lucky you. Was it fun? Babyshowers are very traditional in the States and I got a 'sorta' one when I was home in November, but people didn't want to do too much because it was SUPER early and didn't want to jinx things.
Yep, I too am eating little and often and have gone off certain foods again. Though ...mmmm vanilla milkshakes...I haven't had one in ages and think that they MUST be good for you really because they just taste so good.

BarbarellaNz · 05/02/2009 14:24

Bleuravin I cannot recommend vanilla milkshakes enough - they hit the spot like nothing else!

The baby shower was such fun - the friend who threw it for me had made lots of lovely 'girly' food like finger sandwiches, creamcakes, cupcakes, crostinis and pates etc. She'd also organised champagne cocktails and everybody bought bubbly. It flew by though - I think because I was so hyped up and excited!

Bleuravin · 05/02/2009 14:27

lovely; what fun!

conkertree · 05/02/2009 14:31

happy birthday Nutty - hope you're having a lovely day.

Springy - agree hwoleheartedly with you booking soemthing else. it may cost slightly more (or may not going by Boffin's post) but its a once in a life time event.

I have a hypnobirthing book and CD that somebody can have if they want. I got it off ebay last time round and read it, but think you have to be quite committed to the idea if its going to work (like Boffin taking classes) and I knew I wouldnt practise the techniques enough.

ok have skimmed the rest from today as need to be working - i understand where you are coming from springy with dp possibly looking - I always think that dh can come on here if he wants at work and I would never know, but I refuse to take part in any argument that would result from anything I've said on this as he knows I dont want him reading it. Also, if he finds out secrets, like what I might get him for becoming a father again - its his surprise that he's spoiled. I made that clear to him, and so its his choice after that, and I dont worry about what I post now.

Bleu - hope the ribs are improving.

Everyone else - hope your days are going well. Will read again later once I get some settlement letters done, or nobody will be buying or selling tomorrow .

Bleuravin · 05/02/2009 14:37

got my perineum massage oil... it says for external use only
It smells nice too; i rubbed a little on my belly because i figure it wouldn't hurt.

Bleuravin · 05/02/2009 14:41

ooh it's made my belly feel warm... interesting

Bleuravin · 05/02/2009 14:54

If I'm going tohave to be horizontal every day I sure hope the baby comes early... How ever do you manage Nutty? Boffin?
I'm going to look at the Lush site...

Nutty would absolutely LOVE to but have promised dh on my life I wouldn't as he is so superstitious about it and thinks it might jinx us. As I said before, I can only say that there is a mixture...

LOL Nutty surprised you didn't ask for it as a birthday present for you! hee hee - only 4 weeks to go!! So exciting!

We are still no closer with names... Think I am going to leave it now and when sprite comes if it is a boy we will deal with it then - they don't need a name straight away!!

OOOH I want a babyshower

Ginger that is very very good!

Barbarelly (sorry it's stuck now!) can't wait to see the pics and so so good that they are all doing well - clearly it was fate that you were supposed to have these LO's as the pregnancy couldn't have gone smoother! They are doing so well!

conkertree · 05/02/2009 15:56

yup that baby shower sounds lovely barbarelly - all girly and bubbly (even if you cant have too many of the bubbles yourself).

ooh its all getting exciting now. first babies should be here in four weeks time, will be finishing work in 4 weeks time, then trip to Eurodisney.

This pg seems to be going much quicker than last one - must be having so many people to chat to about it (not to mention having ds to run around after).

lulubai - is dd's secret stash still going strong?

bb - sounds like a good idea about the name - if its a boy, inspiration may just strike, and dh can be persuaded away from Caravan.

Has anyone found a nice preggy swimsuit?

BabyBolat · 05/02/2009 16:11

Yeah I like Tayan, Levent and Ebren but DH doesn't (tough is what I say!!!) Conkertree, there will be NO CARAVAN!! If I have to cry and stomp and stamp I don't care - it is not happening!

I think it will be Barbarelly first, then oddeyes and think Boffin will come up early!

Just had jacket potato with cheese and beans and sprite seems very happy! yum although no want vanilla ice cream!!!

Ah Bleu, that would involve swimming / exercise!!!

Bleuravin · 05/02/2009 16:12

yes i know... but i'd take it easy...float on my back...

BabyBolat · 05/02/2009 16:13

More to the point I stopped exercising about 3 months ago!!!

You are not going swimming young lady!!! tis very bad for your back!

not really bleu - didnt last time either and this time i really wanted one - my sister gave me her old one but its nearly see through. might still chance it as there is a great creche at the local pool so ds could have half an hour of playing while i paddle around once i finish at work.

lol bb - once dh sees you pushing out the lo - he will hopefully be so in awe, that your name choice will be perfect for him.

cannot stop eating just now. really need to as this bump is big enough as it is. sure it doesnt help overall breathing to be full either, but i just never feel full.

Bleuravin · 05/02/2009 16:19

floating cannot be bad for one's back...the water's holding you up...
I'm bored! and headachey from laying around all day

BabyBolat · 05/02/2009 16:27

You use all your core muscles during swimming which is why it is one of the best general exercises to do (when you are not pg and in pain!!!)

Barbarelly just realised how vainy my tummy is also - (went to look in the bathroom!!) - although got very scared that some were stretch marks until closer inspection!!!

To be fair I think that is the best route as he is not going to argue with me then! surely!!!

Bleuravin · 05/02/2009 16:29

tie me to a boogie board... or a horse drawn carriage... or the top of a roof rack... anything as long as i don't have to lay around for another day in bed...

BabyBolat · 05/02/2009 16:31

If you relax today you might be well enough to do something tomorrow!
