Noooooooooooooo! I can't believe I've let myself get so behind again! I have just tried to catch up on all the news...
Nutty Happy Birthday!!
I also wanted to say how gorgeous you look in your wedding photos - I love the dress. I must also tell you that, after seeing McSteamy on a talk show last week, I WILL be fighting you for him He is too yummy and seemed very modest.
Springy Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials! Despite all the crap that goes on in the lead-up (and there is always crap of some sort going on) you will have an awesome day and look absolutely beautiful. I love your choice of dress - the colour is perfect for a winter wedding. As for dp's snooping, it is really bad that he has looked at something where you are expressing feeelings/ideas that are very personal and private, but I can only give him the benefit of the doubt that he had noticed your lack of enthusiasm about the Premiere Inn and was trying to see how upset you were.
BabyBolat I am so sorry about your father-in-law - lots of love and hugs to you and dh. How are you getting on with choosing the names for your baby? If I remember rightly, you had chosen a girl's name but were still debating a boy's name?
GingerSarah That's great that you can work from home - it will make life a whole lot easier, and make it easier for you to take it easy and take good care of yourself.
Frekkles So happy about your new flat - it sounds gorgeous! You are sounding much more positive about life too
Bleuravin Hope you feel better soon. If you're bored, there is a good quiz website called www.sporcle.com (or www.sporkle.com, can't quite remember how it's spelt) which is really time-consuming and entertaining. Well, it worked for me when I was going through the hideous nausea phase...
BoffinMum How are you feeling? Have the new exercises helped?
I can't believe how fast the last week has gone. I had my baby shower on Saturday which a friend threw for me. I was so excited as I never thought I'd get to have a baby shower - seeing as I never thought I'd be having even one baby for such a long time! Having one at 30 weeks is early, I know, but considering they are due out in 4 weeks (!!!) and the fact that my tummy is expanding at an alarming rate, we thought it best to be safe! She had arranged for everyone to give me John Lewis vouchers as we won't know what we need until we know when babies will come home/how big they will be etc. so we have enough to buy a cotbed that they can all sleep in together and some left over for various necesseties. BoffinMum I copied your list of purchases from John Lewis for future reference.
I have had lots of appointments this week - the obstetrician sees me every week now as we are leading up to finalising the caeserean date - he is very happy with me and thinks I should make it to 34 weeks which is great for the babies. I also had to go in to hospital yesterday for steroid injections (to help mature babies' lungs incase they do come earlier) and had GP 30-week appointment today to check strength of heartbeats etc. So far, so good
I have gone back to the eating little and often thing again over the past few weeks as food has started to lose its appeal again. Is anyone else finding that? I have only wanted to eat Tesco ham and mustard sandwiches on white bread (!!!) for the past few weeks. Curious, as I usually hate ham. I have also started craving ice-cold Diet Coke again (as I did during the hideous nausea stage) and vanilla milkshakes. Not a great diet..... Dh tries in vain to make me eat vegetable soup and cooks me healthy dinners - if it weren't for him I'd probably have scurvy...
Still using the Bio-Oil on tummy and no stretch marks so far. Still a bit itchy though.
Am still finding the no sex thing difficult - all your talk of vibrators etc has made me start missing mine not to mention the real thing as owned by my dh...
Dh is taking some more photos of my tummy for family in NZ ( they are finding it increasingly hilarious) this weekend so will post on Monday - veins make it look like the surface of the moon and bump is distinctly rugby ball shaped - must be my love of the All Blacks again...
