I'm so pleased you ladies are so organised with your lists & always so lovely & supportive xx

I shall be making many phonecalls tomorrow! I'm copy / pasting all of your advice into a separate document so I can keep track of it.

Nutty, I'm not sure I'd fit into your dress! What's it like? I'm really not sure what I'm after. I've been snooping around various sites, but don't love anything. Meh.

Ooh, LuLu - fab point! February mini-breaks sound ace. It's almost as if we planned this properly!

Fine, I'll keep it all in this thread for now (I am quite scared of other people out there ) but if it starts to get stupid, do just tell me & I won't be offended!

It really is a shame that I can't pool your skills, though - between you, you practically are a wedding preparation team! Still, I have your virtual guidance which I am very grateful for.

& trust Boffin to get the most scientific dress making possible

Bleuravin · 03/02/2009 18:56

Mmm Frekkles, it sounds absolutely gorgeous! It sounds perfect! Wouldn't it be great holde up making baby clothes and baking? I would love to do that.

SpringySunshine · 03/02/2009 18:59

frekkles, can I come & move in with you? That flat sounds lovely! & yes, it will work. It will. Every last one of us is going to live happily ever after.

KittyCatIsGettingFat · 03/02/2009 19:04

Oh Yes Springy - welcome to the permanent optimists club... we're a very happy group...

Right, we're going out for dinner now (again! I know! ), but I'll be back later, I'm sure.

I've just been looking at some lovely looking Peak District hotels for the couple of nights after the wedding - if you're bored & want to get all dreamy about such things, I'd definitely recommend it

Oh, sometimes I do love being a woman.

Back later xx

thanks loves x i'm so hopeful.

springy congrats on the impending nuptials! I'm afraid I'm not so good on the advice thing when it comes to weddings, i learnt from my engagement that I'm completely missing the bride gene. It just never kicked in. The only thing I would say is maybe try not to think of it as organising a wedding, but try to think of it as organising a romantic celebratory day for you and your man and your families. In my experience as soon as anyone mentions the w word then things get very expensive and people start to get stressed. Just keep it simple, be happy and enjoy it and don't tell anyone who might have cause to invoice you that it's a wedding.

how is everyone else feeling? Boff and nutty, how's your pelvises? And all you other lovely ladies, noone's suffering are they? Hope you're all happy too x

My bump seems to have got much bigger over the last week or so and is now feeling quite nice and round. Had a nice apt with my midwife last week too and she said I'm all good. told me not to worry too much about the weird hernia thingy, and i still haven't got a bloody apt thru! All in all I feel quite healthy today. Knackered, heartburny, achey, restless leggy and al that obviously but actually generally not too bad. wow eh?

Yawn - finally got DD to sleep and now ready for bed myself. But want to see that programme on C4 which is causing all the controversy at 9. The one where they let a load of kids live on their own for a fortnight to see how they would get on. All a bit Lord of the Flies.

PuzzleRocks · 03/02/2009 21:08

Lulu - I smoked like a chimney until I found out I was pregnant with DD. Now the mere smell of it makes me heave.
I used to joke to people it would take pregnancy to make me quit.
How lovely of DH to remember your wedding flowers.

BB - No us neither, we do have a bottle of champagne left over from Christmas so I will have a glass of that. We'll make up for it next year.

Not boring Kitty, that sounds ace. A roaring fire. How I hate our nasty drying central heating. I dream of real fires.

Argh, just read Frekkles post bout fireplaces, now i'm seriously bloody jealous. Your flat sounds fabulous.
You sound really upbeat, it's great to hear.

BoffinMum · 03/02/2009 21:11

Nutty, look at the film on my profile!

Funny Puzzle I can't stand the smell either, but I still sometimes get pangs for the act of smoking .

I'm living at my mother's at the mo and even though she is a light smoker and has been abroad for several months. so no-one has actually been smoking in here, I find the place still smells of smoke. It's in the upholstery and the cushions. Driving me a bit loopy. I've been having to wash all the pillows and cushions (some twice!) to try to get rid of it.

As for heating though, I have to confess I am loving a bit of central heatng after a year of no central heating with real fires being the only source of warmth. Lovely as they are, it's a drag having to get one lit first thing in the morning, with a toddler clinging round your knees asking you to get her breakfast.

My skin is worse with the heating though. Dry AND spotty.

PuzzleRocks · 03/02/2009 21:23

Kitty - That dress is ilovely.

Nutty - Your pic is too small, do you have a close up?

Am that you are fbooking one another. Can I join in?

BoffinMum · 03/02/2009 21:23

I mean the Rhapsody one Nutty.
