Here goes-I got a BFP on DPO 11 which makes me due 1st October. Was going to avoid the antenatal thread until I was completely sure but have already done 3 tests and am still not convinced. Come on and join in the worry fun.

Morning all, scan went fine, LO measures about 7.5 weeks according to sonographer, in the right place, def. only one, good heartbeat seen. Which is all lovely positive stuff and doesn't explain the D at all, which is getting worse still.

I have my booking in appt this afternoon, will be a bit odd telling her I had a scan this morning!!

I've signed myself off work today, and probably tomorrow as well. My boss has signed me off yesterday but I was in appts. all day - surely I'm entitled to that aren't I? Or is all day too extreme?

HumphreysCorner · 26/02/2009 11:06

Great news Sparkly I see the MW a week today at 10 weeks-yay!!!!

Lol at your reading errors. I've never known a child who moans about a potty hurting her.

Morning all,

Calypso your post was just what I needed to read. My ms has really eased off over the last week and I have started having tummy aches. It does feel more like stretching than cramps but woke up today feeling hormonal and blue and was getting into a bit of a panic. Actually I just want to go home and have a good cry . There isn't anything wrong - I'm sure it's just hormones - but I feel really blue and pessimistic today and am just convinced something has gone wrong. Feel bad moaning when so many others have actual worries/complaints but feel a little better offloading on here.

theboob · 26/02/2009 11:59

smallone · 26/02/2009 12:45

Let me just assure you all that I have not done a wee in my pants, had a cs with dd so my pelvic floor is pristine thankyou very much!

When I potty trained I left her naked on her bottom half, then put her on the potty whenever I went to the loo and then 20 mins after each drink, and at a usual poo time. Then the potty followed us around room to room and if she started weeing I quickly put her on a potty and she soon got the hang of it. I also make a pss, pss noise whenever she wees, so now if I want her to wee before we go out I can sit her on the loo, make the noise and it triggers her to wee.
Like Pavlov and his dogs

I put a nappy on whenever we went out for the first week and then went cold turkey the next week, It's scary but was nowhere near as bad as I thought. Also helps to keep track of fluid intake, I give her more when we're at home and then less when we're out, which saves accidents.

theboob dd almost always has an accident at nct, but I reckon this is a combination of distraction and the fact that its such a big room, she may well say "wee, wee" but she's too far away for me to hear, so poss what's happening at nursery for you.

This thread is moving so quickley...

Thanks for all your stories they have made me feel a whole lot better and a little worried of all the future accidents i have to look forward to!

Found out from DP's Dad that he knocked out his front teeth at arround age One on their coffee table and not to worry they are only baby teeth, which made me feel heeps better, the only thing worse than your own parents thinking you can't cope are the inlaws thinking that you are unable to cope!

Sorry to hear of those suffering from, tummy pains, tooth ache and MS, really feel for you all.

Just suffering from dodgey bowels but thats all 2 weeks untill MW home booking in appointment hopefully she may attemp to listen to the baby.

Theboob what age did you start Potty training with your dcs? Ds will be nearly 2 when new bab arrives so i want to start before then but don't think he will take to it yet at 15mths. But i could buy one and see how it goes maybe..... Any advice welcome from you all!
I do have 'the no cry potty training solution' as i got it at the same time as 'no cry sleep solution'. But have only flicked through it, must give it a read soon.

Very of all the scans, must be lovely seeing a strong heartbeat.

Does anyone still think they are having twins who hasn't been scanned yet?
I'd love to have twins. Not carry or give birth to them though, just presented to me on their 2nd birthday, weaned, walking, potty trained, and tantrum free!

Wishing you all a lovely day must go ds will be waking up soon and i'm having a friend over for lunch so better get roasting some vegetables, we're having wraps my favourite! Yum!

MrsPuddleduck · 26/02/2009 13:23

Hi all, sorry I have been away again.

Like HC I am also potty training - it does not go well with nausea!

Koumac - I had the same feelings as you at 5 weeks. I am now 6 and a half weeks and am considering at this exact moment in time whether I am actually going to be physically sick. This would be a first for me with morning sickness. I have always had it but managed not to vom.

Went to GP to confirm on Monday and midwife has phoned me today to make an appointment nearly fell over - can't believe they have suddenly become organised. She is coming 2 weeks on Monday.

sammysam · 26/02/2009 13:42

Morning all!
I'm feeling quite a bit better today-more energy (though not a lot and i'm sure i'd sleep if i could!!) and not as sick (haven't taken any meds for 24hrs) so i'm freaking myself out quite a lot but i'm trying to listen and take heed of what Calypso has said (not very successfully!) as i'm almost 10wks.....but then that nasty voice in my head is saying that i was ill for 5 months with dd......
At least i'm still ill....just not as ill, but it has gone in cycles of a few bad days, a few good. Have a few weid pains today as well which isn't helping

On a positive note (touch wood) I had my scan date in the post today-17th march so only 19 days to go (god that looks like a long time written down!!) I really just want to fast forward to then and have had the fantastic news I want to hear

We are going to potty train dd over the easter hols when we all our usual activities are off for 2wks. She has never been bothered by wet/dirty nappies but she really wants to wear pants and recently had done a few wees/poos on the toilet and i'm hoping it will go ok as she'll be around 2 3/4's-it will be good to have a few nappy free months before #2 arrives

Feeling quite sick and heartburny now so that should will put my mind at rest

sammysam · 26/02/2009 13:47

that should really be 'afternoon all'!!!

Treats · 26/02/2009 13:58

Had another scan today - 8wks 2 days. Everything fine - the baby is actually looking like a baby now - it's got little buds where it's arms are going to be - and it still has a strong heartbeat. Very pleased.

To all those who are worried about not experiencing any symptoms - I've barely had a whiff of nausea and haven't felt particularly tired. My boobs have been sore and growing for the last few weeks, but that's the only way I would know that I was pregnant. So if you're not 'feeling' pregnant at the moment - don't worry about it! I'm not either, but I definitely am.

Think I should probably get my coat at this point. From reading all your messages, it sounds as if the last person you all want to hear from is someone who's been fortunate enough to have an early scan, but isn't suffering any nausea.........

Wishing everyone all the best!

(altagloria - I'm so sorry. Take care of yourself )

KKKKaty · 26/02/2009 13:58

Afternoon

Quick question to those who have had their booking in appointment with the MW. I was told today by someone that the MW will listen to the heartbeat when I go for that appointment - which is next week when I am 8.5 weeks. I'd not heard of this before - will she?

TIA.

sammysam · 26/02/2009 14:16

kkkkaty-fairly certain that she won't-don't think they do til much much later-say around 16wks.

Treats-that is fantastic news-it must be so so good to see I just really hope we see a really strong heartbeat in 19 days as well [fingers crossed]

KKKKaty · 26/02/2009 14:19

Thanks, SammySam. Yes, I thought she was mistaken too, but just thought I'd check. Bit of a shame really, since it would be rather nice to get some evidence!

TheBestMum · 26/02/2009 14:30

Hi all, been avoiding MN as not wanting to get hopes up too much as had MMC in Oct last year, but now 7 weeks preg with dc no. 2 & waiting early scan on Monday - am SOOOOO nervous cos went for 12 wk scan in Oct & LO only 5 wks - totally horrid experience.
Fingers crossed all well this time - think of me 12noon Mon.........

Cazza28 · 26/02/2009 14:31

Hi All,

I have been a right pig today! So far I have had:

Porridge
Grapes
Satsuma's x 2
Cheese Sandwich
Crisps
Cheese & Ham Sandwich

I am still starving hungry! What have you all had? Hopefully it will make me less of a piggy!

patmum · 26/02/2009 14:38

DS is currently 2 1/4 and I thought we'd aim to potty train over the summer when he can be out and about outside with no nappy. Unless of course he seems ready sooner.

We do already put him on the toilet two or three times a day or whenever he requests it. He seems to much prefer this to the potty.

Since he's in nursery 4 days per week I just thought it would be better to wait until I could spend a whole week with him in the warm (if we get a summer) and focus on him completely.

I haven't got a clue really! But I don't relish trying to do it as #2 turns up so either it works over the summer or we'll probably be waiting until after he's 3 in November!

I know it's daft but I'm getting really nervous about seeing my GP later on. It will make it all official!

HumphreysCorner · 26/02/2009 14:50

Hi all,

I've had a mc. all the best to everyone , it was very unexpected since my first pregnancy went so well with very few symptoms, I thought it was the same this time. It only started this morning, had an a scan at 3pm which comfirmed everything unfortunately.

littlepea72 · 27/02/2009 07:41

Sorry Prisci take things easy for a while xx

sammysam · 27/02/2009 08:34
