Hi all just popping in,
Had a lets say scary interesting day today!
Ds (15 months) likes to look out of the patio doors in the kitchen-dinner, as they look out to the garden and that's his favourite place, besides the beach at the moment.
Which is normaly fine. But i heard an almighty scream and saw him face down by the (locked) doors his mouth was bleeding a little and on further inspection he had chipped one of his beautiful front baby teeth[shock! After a cuddle he was fine and back to normal. I though i'd go to the childrens clinic to try and get a referal to a local dentist (as i have kept my old one as getting an NHS dentist is such a pain) he is not registered as yet as he's too young.
HV were all out so took ds to the nearest dentist who was lovely and agreed to see ds even though we have no connections to the surgery. Luckily its only a little chip and ds din't flinch when the dentist was having a look so hopefully no deeper damage than the superficial chip as long as no nerves have been damaged and die but that won't show for years to come and even if that was the case they would leave the tooth for spacing reasons and wait for it to be pushed through by his adult teeth.
Ds is on just bottles and no solid food for a week whilst tooth re-settles. Which is really strange because we BLW, its funny feeding him constant mush! Hopefully the sharp corners will file themselves down when he's back on solids if not we will have to go back and get it smoothed off but dentist didin't seem to keen as i don't think it will be the easiest feat!
Anyway i felt like a crapola mum today but now realise there was nothing i could have done, accidents happen. And the dentist said even though its a little chip we can fix it if we want when he gets older, but he wont keep his mouth dry enough for the glue to go off at his age.
Sorry for the long post but had to get it off my chest! Feel free to add any children getting into scrapes story to make me feel better
Hope all suffering with MS are managing to eat a little and rest. Feel a bit cheated to have two MS free pregnancies.
Baby wishing you all the best for the future!
