Here goes-I got a BFP on DPO 11 which makes me due 1st October. Was going to avoid the antenatal thread until I was completely sure but have already done 3 tests and am still not convinced. Come on and join in the worry fun.

bananapaddlepop I am so sorry, all the best.

altagloria I had something similar at 6-7 weeks with DS1, it turned out to be nothing. The Dr thought it might have been late implantation spotting.

Peachespaige I am with you on the sushi front, I can't stop eating it, together with steaks.

Cazza I was quite cranky during the last pregnancy too, I almost fired someone for being 1min late for the first time.

Now for the moaning, could not sleep last night and got really upset with Dp for nothing i.e. he fell asleep before me. Today, I am also feeling very acky on my back, neck and shoulders...and it is not age related, I am 32 years old.
DS1, is also running me down, he is having a growth spur but does not want anything apart from my boobs. I have to think of when I am going to start weaning him, but it is hard to envisage when he is enjoying it so much and it is so good for him, however, I don't think I will be able to cope (physically and emotionally)with breastfeeding two at the same time...
Also, I definitely have a bump but I am only 6+4. I am quite skinny so it really shows. I was looking at pictures (definitely recommend taking pictures once a month of bump for memory)of me PG with DS1, it looks as if I had the same bump at 12weeks. How, am I going to hide it for another 6weeks.

doggus · 23/02/2009 21:00

Banana - really sorry for you and good luck.

Charmagot - you just really made me laugh! I think it was the whole fault thing!

Thank you everyone for the sympathy. I had a think and it occurred to me I could be anaemic as I feel so bad, so will ring GP tomorrow.

Altagloria - hope you are OK. I think brown blood is a better sign than red? I have a constant sort of orangey yellowy discharge. Soryy for TMI but if no-one talks about it we won't know if it's normal or not!

charmargot · 23/02/2009 21:25

Hi Prisci, you've months to wean your first born so the new one gets the undivided boob attention it'll need and deserve. Maybe put more weight on elsewhere so bump less noticeable? Chocolate diet for next couple of weeks?!

Cazza28 · 24/02/2009 08:15

Morning All,

Altagloria I had that I think about 5 or 6 weeks Dr said it was fine and not to worry unless it turned red. Also said it was usual.

I just ran over a pigeon on the way to work and starting crying (Thats so not like me) I am feeling really horrible, poor thing. It was either that or be rear ended though.

HumphreysCorner · 24/02/2009 09:26

Morning ladies

FIL here with the hedge cutter so will be demanding tea, coffee and food. He doesn't know about the baby yet but preparing all these things are a complete no, no at the moment. Ew.

I never too photos with DD1 and DD2 so this time have been taking one every 2 weeks. So 5 weeks, 7 weeks and next one will be Thursday at 9 weeks. Have lost so much weight that I have a definite bump sticking out. I am normally a size 10 but after Christmas I put on a few pound so had to buy Next size 12 jeans in the sale so now they are plenty big enough to cover everything up.

Cazza-I ran over 2 doves once who dived into the road so I couldn't miss them.

Right, better look busy as I don't want FIL to think I sit with my laptop all day!

Big wave!

Hello all

I've just been to the doctor, who said pretty much what many of you have been saying, i.e. very common and probably nothing, but the possibility remains that it is the start of miscarriage.

She put me in touch with the Early Pregnancy Unit who were very nice and said it's so common that they won't do anything unless it lasts for over 48 hours or turns heavier and red. It's still very very light and pale brown.

So am staying at home today and trying not to worry (aye right). Thinking the stats are in my favour and fingers crossed.

Hi All

I hope you are all feeling ok.

I've been feeling alot better.MS not too bad now I really feel for you all with bad MS, I just eat and eat. I am wearing childrens sickness bands (tighter than adult ones )DD2 off school with an ear infection so decluttering the house like mad. A clearer house makes dh alot more relaxed about bringing a 4th child into the house. But HOUSE WORK IS EVIL !!!!!
I will not stand on the scales as it just scrambles my brain.I dont have many clothes that fit me help!!!!

JemL · 24/02/2009 11:01

Hello All,
Benn lurking for a bit but thought I would join in! Am 8w exactly today - due October 6th. Today I have gone from being "miserable due to constant nausea" to "miserable because nausea has gone after only 1 week and I am reading too much into it" - I keep trying to remind myself that I was nauseaous for exactly one evening with DS, but the MMC I had in first pregnancy keeps playing on my mind...am trying to look on the bright side (can now eat and am ravenous, so desk drawer is filled with food)

Altagloria - I'm sure you have received lots of similar reassurances, but I just wanted to say, I had this brown bleeding with DS - I was told it was "old blood" (bleugh!) from periods coming away as the uterus stretches.xx

Treats · 24/02/2009 12:07

altagloria - I had bright red spotting at 5+6. I went to the EPU where they did blood tests. I then had a scan at 6+1 and everything was fine, so try not to worry too much.

charmagot - I've seen a lot of people on the pregnancy threads refer to SPD - what is it? I'd like to be prepared..... It's obviously not fun, so I hope you're doing OK.

I read somewhere that you start to show a lot earlier in second and subsequent pregnancies than you do in the first and I guess the experiences of people here tend to bear that out.

I've had the most appalling breakout in the last couple of days. I always used to get awful spots in the week leading up to my period (misery!) but this is much worse. If I was going to have a period this month, it would be happening about now,so I wonder if it's related. Has anyone else had this?

idreamofbeanie · 24/02/2009 13:23

Oh why do hospitals have to be so slow . My midwife put in a request last Wednesday for a scan date for me. Apparantly I have to wait for the hospital to send me a letter confirming they have the request then I call and make the appointment. Still no letter! I already know they are really busy (lots of BFPs following xmas and new year!) and I know having the date won't make it come around any quicker but I just think it will be good to have a date sorted. Something to focus on. I think MN has to design an impatient icon for us (or maybe just for me ). Oh well, 8+5 today so hopefully only 3-4 weeks left till my scan.

idreamofbeanie · 24/02/2009 13:24

Sorry - that was very me me me!

Hi and congratulations JemL.

Hello to everyone else.

Sparklytwinkletoes · 24/02/2009 14:26

I feel soooo sick

I don't want to tell work but can't see I'm going to get away with it very much longer. I'm just so worried about telling them and then losing it like I did last time.

My belly is bulging somewhat too - I've heard it does in later pregnancies, I wonder if the second pregnancy would contribute to this when it only went to 11 weeks as I seem to have popped uber early (will be 8 weeks on thursday!)

Cazza28 · 24/02/2009 14:59

idream Thats a bummer I thought I would just get my scan date at my first MW appointment! Nothings simple is it!

poor sparkly I hope you feel better soon. ious though of you being on the sofa - I feel like I could fall asleep as I type... zzzzzzz

idreamofbeanie · 24/02/2009 15:16

Poor you Sparkly, you really seem to be suffering. If you told your boss would he/she be able to make things easier for you without anyone else having to find out. How was he/she last time? It's a tough decision isn't it. Most of the time I don't really see my immediate manager which makes it easier for me to cut down on my work/hours slightly but I do worry that if she notices she might just think I am being lazy so it might be better to speak to her.

idreamofbeanie · 24/02/2009 15:21

Sorry Cazza, just ignored you there. Honestly my brain can only handle 1 thought at a time just now. It is crap having to wait for a date - I thought I would get my scan date when I saw the midwife but that's not how it works here. I feel really selfish whinging about the scan when I have no real reason to worry - no bleeding, still feeling sick and tired etc - but I just really want to see the heartbeat and make sure this little bean is okay.

Treats · 24/02/2009 16:10

Hi idob - your frustration is understandable - you're not whingeing!! I was very lucky and got my midwife appt and scan letters in the same envelope, but I remember having to wait for my referral letter to see the gynaecologist when I first went to see the GP about infertility last year and it was agony - it took over two months! I chased and chased and eventually found that they hadn't received the referral letter, so took my own copy in and it was still another four weeks before I got confirmation of my appointment. There were tears........

Can you try calling the hospital? I found that it was easier to ask how long they thought I would have to wait before I heard rather than demanding to know why I hadn't heard yet. Less confrontational. Hope you hear soon.

sparkly - sorry to hear that you're feeling so bad. Agree with idob - can you not tell work? I know that it's a tough call in the first trimester, but if you have a sympathetic boss, it might be OK. Hang in there - lots of sickness is a very good sign!

HumphreysCorner · 24/02/2009 16:17

Hello and congrats JemL

Sparkly-poor you, I have had lots of those days. Today is slightly better. Hope tomorrow is better for you.

Am desperate for a scan but it seems so far away and I don't even have a date yet. Wanted one before Mothers Day so I can tell everyone but will probably tell them anyway but will feel silly having to untell if scan is not good. It is true that the scan places are booked up due to excess babies made over the festive period. Happens every year.

Love to all.

Hi all
I have been back reading this tread and a long one it is too.
I am only due 30 Oct so a month later than some of you!
Here are my random thoughts

ChucklesMcMummy I didn?t have any ms when pregnant with ds ? now only once so not sure if that qualifies for ?girl? though

What does iyswim?

Treats I too find I am short of breath especially lying down what does this mean?

I am now enormous in the evenings. I wake up feeling sort of normal and then with each meal my belly just gets bigger and bigger. I don?t think I will be able to hide it much longer! And dreading this but will have to tell work soon. I swear people are already looking at my tummy.

Am so grateful for MN. Wish I had found this 1st time round. I feel I can tell you everything as I feel I am not supposed to tell anybody yet?but in some way it seems scarier this time round somehow.

Do any of you ladies go to gym reguraly?
I have been going to lose weight ha ha that not obviously going to happen now I am pregnant. Just wondering what is safe etc.

Sorry rant over.

Dear lizzie9442 and apushchairq and varicoseveined and thefunkypea and bubblebell1 and babyinthecorner and pepperpots and bananapaddlepop I am sorry to hear that you lost your babies. Take care

I am an antenatal exercise teacher.I recomend you speak to someone at your gym to get some advice. My advice would be to not over do it.Think about maintaining your fitness. You will get puffed more easily, you should stretch but do not increase the stretch, you should not do sit ups as this can damage the abdominals do lots of pelvic floor exercises instead.Good luck and enjoy it does make you feel good.

KKKKaty · 24/02/2009 17:20

HC and idob hope you get your scan dates soon, why has time slowed down so much...

koumak iyswim = if you see what I mean

JemL welcome and congrats

Wee update on my brown bleeding, it got a bit heavier (like the very start of my period) earlier this afternoon so I called the Early Pregnancy Support people again and cried myself into a scan - not till tomorrow afternoon though. It hasn't continued to get heavier since then, still not red and still no cramps so could be ok. Reassurances of previous bleeding during others' successful pregnancies are helping so thank you

Just have a long wait now, dreading every loo visit.

babyinacorner · 24/02/2009 18:00

altagloria - all the very best for you and got everything crossed that it's good news.

Just wanted to update before I go that I had my erpc today and all went as well as can be expected so thank you to all you ladies for being so lovely -it's been much appreciated and I wish you all the luck with your mini bumps and then big bumps.

right - I really am going now.....
