Hi everyone, I think I should be on this thread, but not sure how you work out the dates . I have a dd aged 3 so should know. Got my BFP on Sat and again today, very definate lines on FR.Very very happy. We have been trying for 14 months and had almost given up as I am now 42. Had a 5 week mc in Nov 08, but I am not worried as I feel really healthy.

Right the dates, first day of last period 25 Dec, ov on days 11 - 13 and managed to bd 5 times, phew was exhausted but well worth it cant for the life of me work out EDD, could be nappy brain already. Any help welcome.

theboob · 25/01/2009 20:42

welcome giggly
your edd is 01/10/09,your LMP is the same as mine, congratulations x

doggus · 25/01/2009 20:48

Welcome giggly - I am in a similar boat to you - 41, with a ds of 19 months and also been trying for a year.

I wish I could be overjoyed, I'm just terrified at the thought of two nippers! I'm sure I will settle down and enjoy it soon.

Hello and welcome giggly-congrats on your BFP. Sorry to hear you had a MC though. I am 40 in October and we have been TTC for 10 months. My last AF was 28th December but as I OV'd on CD 12 it makes me due 1st Oct but I bet the MW will date me as the 4th as they base it on an average 28 day cycle but my cycle is far from average!

Feel really tired tonight so will watch the Ice Dancing results and go to bed.

ooohhh HC......your first symptom

idreamofbeanie · 25/01/2009 21:43

Welcome giggly - the first of October is looking like a very popular date! Sorry to hear about your mc but I'm glad to hear you are feeling very healthy this time.

I don't feel pregnant at all! Not sure what I was expecting but apart from slightly tender boobs I don't have any symptoms. I keep thinking 'maybe I just imagined the BFP and I'm somehow wishing AF away' .

giggly · 25/01/2009 23:42

Thanks for all the welcomes, 1st October sounds good to me, my birthday is the second, so that would still make me 42, excellant. I have no symptoms at all and no inkling, just thought I would get the misery of another BFN out of the way, wey hey.

theboob · 26/01/2009 07:35

i feel sick..........really sick
having horrible cramps,my boobs are sore

i woke up this morning feeling pregnant

HumphreysCorner · 26/01/2009 08:10

Brilliant theboob-still waiting here

Will go looking for symptoms throughout the day.

Hope all OK.

Fantastic-I was too scared to start a thread Can I join?!
I'm almost too terrified to do this but here goes...
Have been trying for dc2 for almost a year, have one dd who has just turned 2 and a half.
Last period 21st december and EDD at the mo is 1st October,FF says I ov'd on the 8th Jan, did first test 9DPO with CB Digital conception thingy and it said pregnant 1-2, a couple of days later did a tesco one with changed quite quickly and then a week after first CB one did another one and it said pregnant 2-3.......I'm so so scared something will go wrong Have had cramps which has scared the life out of me as I don't remember this with DD (she was unplanned and I didn't know for several weeks-I'm hoping this is why!!!!)
I'm going to ring the doc in a min--AAAAHHHHHH!
I took the test early (i kinda regret that now!!) as I felt weird and still do
Symptoms
-very tingly breasts, bigger than they were-don't remember this with dd but i'm still breastfeeding and so am much more aware of them now
-feeling slightly sick (have V bad morning sickness with dd)
-craving salty, meaty things-a lot
-tired
-mentally supersticious and paranoid-the same with dd
-peeing more often
-TMI but weird bowels
-and also-more hungry, bit of indigestion, gassy etc

But the most overwhelming (sp) sense of worry

LittleMissBliss · 26/01/2009 09:26

Feeling much better this morning after my 1
doggus what part of the south coast do you live in? I'm in Poole Dorset.

Hi giggly and sammy!

sammy- I would say they are normal i had cramps early on with ds and evrything was fine.

Better go have to dunk ds in the bath. Before his party, then a qucik dash to the shops as i still haven't got the birthday present.

Have a good day all!

HumphreysCorner · 26/01/2009 09:57

Hello and welcome sammysam and congrats to you. Yes, cramping is much worse with subsequent pregancies. The MW in the hospital explained this to me. Dreading this time as this is No3.

theboob-am hoping that as my AF was 28th Dec I am 3 days behind you for symptoms so I expect to wake up on Thursday feeling PG.

Hope all OK.

Congrats ladies. I was in exactly the same place as you all this time last year and delivered a beautiful baby boy on 8th Oct.
Good luck to you all.

Ps going from 2 - 3 was a hard job to get used to. Still worn out

C1NDY · 26/01/2009 10:12

Hi all, not sure whether to do this or not.. but I had a BFP, took an early test... three actually - two First Reponse and one Boots... all BFP. Waiting to see if AF does not show and then the game will be on. I had a MC in September so its take about three months to get here!! and its been a long slog so I am hoping the little bean sticks... Can I please join you all?

C1NDY-you are most welcome. Congratulations! In too tested early last Monday with AF being due Thurs/Fri/Sat. Still not here but don't trust it as like you I have suffered a MC at 12 weeks. I wasn't going to join a thread until 12 weeks but figured it was better to share what is happening with others going through the same thinbg.

ronshar-your baby was born on my birthday. Am now worrying about the jump from 2 to 3.

ronshar · 26/01/2009 10:41

May I suggest you find the knicker checkers. They helped me get through those horrible first months of pregnancy following two MC's.
Dont worry Humphrey, it is worth every minute.

HumphreysCorner · 26/01/2009 10:50

Thanks ronshar.

Morning,

I see I'm not the only one having mc worries although I don't have any real reason to (I'm so sorry for anyone who has been through it ). I think I just feel so lucky to have gotten my BFP so quickly I can't quite believe it will stick. It's also really difficult to picture myself as a mummy. No matter how much we wanted this it's hard to imagine it actually happening. Hopefully when I have a few symptoms it will start to feel more real but I don't think I will really believe it until the 12 week scan. Did anyone else feel like this with their first?

Welcome C1NDY and sammysam . I was wavering about whether to join too but who else would understand how weird I feel and all these crazy worries!

sammysam · 26/01/2009 12:03

Hi cindy!

I forgot to add one of my most strong symptoms-I am SO thirsty.....a bit worried about this one (wasn't til I saw another thread but will tell the doc tomorrow)

LittleMissBliss-i'm in Poole too -small world! have you always lived here? I only moved down when DD was a week old, but had spent a lot of time here before!

HumphreysCorner-we were OV buddies! Thank you for the info re cramps-makes me feel a bit better-how long do they last for?

C1NDY · 26/01/2009 12:25

Sammy I am feeling a little thirsty too...what does it mean?

Humphrey We will be in it together till the end!! we all will... here send loads of sticky beans to all of us (well you know what I mean)

Every little twinge, a little back ache and I think is this it ... is this when its all over. Will be happier when its 12 weeks and I get to see a picture. I am not going to have an early scan... I think I will wait till the 12 wks.

LittleMissBliss · 26/01/2009 12:45

sammysam- I moved to Poole at arround 36 weeks pregnant in 2007 (quite lucky becuase it ment i didn't have to lift a finger!) So i've lived here 14 months or so. Before Poole I lived in Dorchester, Martinstown (near Dorchester) and Weymouth. So knew the area fairly well, (well the shops anyway!)

I'm feeling thirsty too which is also a syptom from my last pregnancy. I also fainted quite a bit in the first trimester. But hoping this wont happen this time as i am no longer working full time and not on my feet all day.

All us early testers are going to have very long pregnancies, with ds i din't know until 6/7 weeks. The 12 week scan feels like an age away. Can't wait, will be lovely to see the little mite.

appologies if my post don't read well my keys keep sticking, and text keeps going missing. The first line of my last post should have read.

I feel much better after my 12 hours sleep last night.

Gosh better dash, wake ds up and get to this party we're ment to be there at one!
