GYo - 4.5 days?! Not much......Mat leave still seems ages off for me (19 working days..)

IDOB - I think the sickness thing is weird too..chocolate and sweet stuff really helps with the nausea for me, and like you say, normally you'd stay away from that type of snack when you felt sick. Very odd.

Hi Cosmo- glad you are warm in work now! Handy being so close- kind of!

those 19days will fly by im sure....

I cant believe im down to the last few days now... seems odd!

It is weird about wanting bad stuff when you have morning sickness. I craved a lot of sugary things and definately carbohydrate.

Morning Diege, Tink, KK, and everyone else who as popped on.

LaTourEiffel · 02/02/2009 11:20

OK, so i've got knee length socks, slippers and jeans on, my house says its 20 degrees and I'm still cold....I'm off in search of more items to wrap round my feet...LOL! I'm going to look like a ruddy eskimo!

LaTourEiffel · 02/02/2009 11:21

Perhaps its because I'm tired....

Perhaps I should just go to bed

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 02/02/2009 11:25

I think you should treat yourself to well desrved lie down La Tour. Under a warm duvet with a hot water bottle for your feet

Morning all,

Not caught up properly but saw La Tours BFP and had to post to day Congratulations!!

Is everyone enjoying the snow? We only have a couple of inches here but then I am pretty south and in a valley. The hills have much more snow. DH tried to get to work earlier this morning and said there were about 7 or 8 inches on the roads and snow ploughs out. He's trying again to get into work, hoping the roads will be clearer .

I really want to go out an play in it but I have promised my DH and my Mum I will not go outside alone. You would think I was made of china or something, I only want to go for a little walk, first day of mat leave and I have to saty inside .

Have I missed anything important?

LaTourEiffel · 02/02/2009 11:52

Thanks Playing, can't believe you're starting your maternity leave already I've got months and months and months to go (provided I get there this time of course!)

I'm glad I'm working from home, but also sad that I've got the ability to as it means I can't get out of working IYSWIM! Think I'll be going to bed during my lunch hour though, I'm so, so tired.

DS had us up in the early hours, hungry, he's been poorly all weekend and I had to phone nursery to see if they'd even have him today, but they said yes so that's a relief, otherwise I'd have been running round after him instead of working and I'm sure I'd find that even more tiring!!!

Good morning

Have been trying to get on here since getting back from dropping DS1 at school this morning, this 3 kids malarky is bloody hard work!

LaTour, I am still grinning like a mad woman, and I am shocked so you must be floored! Absolutely massive huge enormous congrats again!

I am sorry, I really can't catch up on everything I've missed Hope everyone is doing well, and congrats on the start of ML Playing! You're on the real countdown now!

I will try and make it back before the end of the year day Is all the extra work coming from just having 3 kids, or is it because there is only 2 years between DS2 and 3? Or is it because they are both at home all day? When DS2 was born, nothing seemed to change, but DS1 was at school and pretty much independant, this little lot is knocking me for 6 at the moment! I don't know whether I'm coming or going half the time.

Right I am going to stop moaning chatting, and go and have a ciggarette! I can do that now you know, and have a southern comfort and coke (though might wait until at least DH get's home, maybe!!), there are good things about not BF!

NJ - in case you didn't spot the list updates - Diege is having a boy!!!! Isn't that wonderful news!!!

NatalieJane · 02/02/2009 12:10

Oh god, am now going blind obviously!

A BOY??????????????????????????????? Bloody hell woman!! Huge congrats to you too!!

Bet her DH is dancing in the streets!

And while I am here - what on earth has happened to MN? It's all looking a bit weird

I had to get new glasses last week, have they given me the wrong ones?

NatalieJane · 02/02/2009 12:13

Ooooh and thanks for the brownie GYo

( I can't remember, is it that food stuff you put in your mouth, can't remember the last time I had any food, yesterday lunch time I think.... I'm telling you, 3 kids, no wonder I am shrinking!)

LaTourEiffel · 02/02/2009 12:14

Oh NJ, its the end of an era as far as MN is concerned, and half of its still not working, but don't tell YetMoreTech, he's sounding mighty unappreciated at the moment!!!

If only it was as simple as new specs! I wish the 'threads i'm watching' would hurry up and be fixed...

ohsnap · 02/02/2009 12:17

CONGRATULATIONS LaTour!!!!!!!!
So so happy for you, it would have been cruel for you not to get a BFP!

No snow here, I can see some on the tops of the hills about 20 miles away but we never get any here in the mild SW

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 02/02/2009 12:18

lol Nat
better send you a whole batch!

BTW, how are you getting on with the Bee?

NatalieJane · 02/02/2009 12:20

Uh oh, trouble in the shed hey? Am glad I have missed the fall out!

BTW, uh oh is DS2's favourite saying, it is scorched on my brain, I'm not going to apologise for using it in adult conversation, I'll just hang my head in shame and put it in the box along with oopsadaisy, poohpooh, and ner ner ne ner nerrrr.... which reminds me, the little bugger, one day last week, I was feeding Mikey, DS2 came up to us, I said "have you got a kiss for mummy?" he shook his head very firmly and said "no", so I said, "have you got a kiss for Mikey?" he bent over and kissed Mikey, looked up at me, waved his fingers in the air and sang "ner ner ne ner nerrrrr" at me!

I am waffling, think my fingers are doing it all themselves, trying to catch up on the lack of typing!

NatalieJane · 02/02/2009 12:28

The Bee is...... dusty, I've only used it once, it's a nightmare walking DS2 and pushing a pram so am using the carrier for DS3, and walking DS2. I keep wishing we'd have gone for a double buggy, but it would have been no good, we can't fit a side by side one through both of our doors (the porch and front door aren't quite aligned properly) and I am too short to be safe with a one in front of the other one. And before you all shout P&T at me, it'd never have worked, I just don't like them, I did try, but I don't. Having said that, perhaps having a buggy I could use but don't like is better than having a buggy I kind of like but can't use?! I'll be asking you how your's is at this rate!

Right, my time is up (stop cheering at the back, I know I have waffled about shite all, but hey, what's new?!!) huge congrats to La Tour and Diege again, between the pair of you, you've made my Monday a good day, and that takes alot!! I will try to keep up but I think it is a bit of a lost cause. Take care everyone xxx

kayzr · 02/02/2009 12:29

Hi Nat.

Anyone want to fill in our housing benefit form???

It is soo long and has 100's of questions.

lastboxoftampons · 02/02/2009 12:56

Hello!

LATOUR Fab news!!!!!!! [gri n]

I'm so so excited for you!!! Best of luck! I know it's bitter sweet, but your Nan would've been so happy!

Silly me came to work today when no one else really bovvered at all There's mention of closing the building early, so I'm just waiting for my cue to blow this joint! anyway, it's quiet and there's a lovely view of the snow falling on an old church outside my window. Would still rather be curled up on the couch with a cup of tea, but oh well...

Playing as we were walking to the tube this morning, my DH said Now you will be careful, won't you? I do have a tendency towards clumsiness to begin with - or so I'm told, frankly I don't see it - but they treat us like our feet are tied together or something!

LB hope you get seen quickly at the GP today and get some answers!!

NJ Sounds like you've got quite a handfull there! but you seem to be managing really well!

Hi to everyone else!!

Cosmogirl · 02/02/2009 12:57

FWIW I am not a fan of the new MN....Preferred the old format...

Kayz - form sounds painful...good luck
