OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
GruffaloSoldier · 01/02/2009 16:08

yes - very cold here.no snow though.i dont want it to unless it snows hard and means I cant travel. I hate driving about when its not quite bad enough to have a day off but still dangerous

have sorted so much stuff today and still feel like its just the tip of the iceberg.im so tired could just go to sleep but have got babysitting at 5pm!

kayzr · 01/02/2009 16:24

It has been snowing on and off here all afternoon but it hasn't settled.

Ses, I am very jealous of your fire. We'd love a real fire. Mum has one and I always sit right next to it.

Sesthinks2009willbeagreatyear · 01/02/2009 19:18

Kay - I always annoy DH by sitting right in front of the fire!!

We've just booked our theatre tickets and night away!! Got 2 tickets for the mousetrap and a night in a 4* hotel for £173 which I didn't think was too bad. Well not for my birthday treat and for being our last treat before the baby arrives...

The snow is really coming down here now and settling well. I'm with Gruff and don't like it as we never get enough to feel properly snowed in but it's normally enough to make driving a but hazardous. I once wrote a car off on black ice so I'm always a bit more wary.

Anyway, tomorrow is my first antenatal pilates class so that gives me enough to worry about. I'm really not naturally sporty and always feel stupid but I know this will be good for me so I'm determined to give it a go. (Sorry, I know that sounds really pathetic!)

lardybump · 01/02/2009 20:13

I am so fed up.... Really stresing about this possiable infection. Called labour ward and they said call out of hours gp as will need checking out asap. Out of ours GP just told me to wait and see my GP in the morning. Argh.......... Have they ever tried to get a docters appointment on a Monday morning..... I will have to wait until after 4 when it is open surgery and wait for hours to be seen...... I am just worried that it might be leaky waters and as it is greeny in colour that there is a problem..... BAby is kicking so hope that means it is ok....

anyway

It is snowing hard here and has settled so a DP will need to take the big car to work which means I am housebound until the afternoon anyway.......

Right have I moaned enough yet?????

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 01/02/2009 21:14

hi everyone, hi LB. I've come to join you in the moaning corner of the wagon Hope you arent feeling too down tonight....

Really had enough of being pg today too

Can anyone help\ got any thoughts on my thread on breathlessness? here

Snow here too- settling fast...

Need to do a wagon catch up

Diege · 01/02/2009 22:01

Aww Lardy I feel your pain - the out of hours gp service is a joke. Could you possibly get a taxi up to the surgery in the morning if offered an appointment?? I know you are worried, but it could well be something innocuous. I remember going to GPs with horrible gushes of watery green discharge that turned out to be thrush (yet another attack), so green doesn;t necessarily mean anything sinister in relation to fluids.
GYO, have replied on your thread. Keep your chin up, and in the meantime share a bar of dairy milk with LB
GRUFF hope you got through the babysitting ok
SES great news about the theatre - that will be a lovely treat Not a bad deal either.
ASTARTE (and GRUFF) have ordered the Kitzinger and Balaksas books off Amazon. Am a bit of a sceptic at the moment, but am prepared to have my mind opened (if not other bits!!).
Really hope it doesn;t snow tonight. As a non-driver I'm in dread of falling over on the way to the train station, and am one of those pathetic people who cling onto railing/branches etc on side of road rather than risk it . Right, bed, I'm knackered.

ohsnap · 01/02/2009 22:38

Evening all, just spent 45 minutes catching up and have forgotton most of it already. Hello to Treats and IDOB (I remember you too), you're not quite the 'youngest' though, I'm still ttc so technically still minus 4+ weeks!

Well the ceilings are done and we're back home and pretty much tidied (well back to normal standards anyway!) but DD2 has had a wildly fluctating temperature since we went swimming yeaterday morning and she was sick last night so it's not quite all calm here.

LB I hope your green-ness is nothing sinister and you get sorted tomorrow.

Will try to keep up a bit better from now on, Must Try Harder

LaTourEiffel · 02/02/2009 07:50

Morning GYO!!!

Thank god you're here, I was about to go and have a shower....

I have a slight confession to make...

Sesthinks2009willbeagreatyear · 02/02/2009 08:11

LaTour!!!!

You have a BFP!!! I Know it!!!

All your symptoms sounded so promising!

Am soooooooooo pleased for you - Feb has arrived and things have turned a corner for you.

LaTourEiffel · 02/02/2009 08:13

I tested on Friday and got a faint BFP, but was about to run out of the door and laptop was all packed away....and wanted to post myself....

So anyway, yes, a BFP for me too on Friday...

Another Wagon Triple

I've tested again this morning as don't really feel convinced, and its come up stronger than Fridays (using a First Response)

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 02/02/2009 08:13

LaTourEiffel · 02/02/2009 08:16

Sorry, in my excitement to post, Congrats also to Treats and IDOB too, we must all be due very close together!

My EDD will be 8th October if everything goes OK.

You can't all bugger off and leave me coz you've had your babies, I need lots of hand holding as I'm really, really nervous after last time

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 02/02/2009 08:17

CONGRATULATIONS LA TOUR!!

Hurray, Hurray

I am so happy for you!!!

How are you feeling???

LaTourEiffel · 02/02/2009 08:18

I'm also running really late this morning (courtesy of DS waking at 4 and thinking it was morning) then falling asleep and missing the alarm! So will have to let it as need to get my car to the garage and its going to take for ever this morning....

Sesthinks2009willbeagreatyear · 02/02/2009 08:18

OH LaTour - I know how those first few weeks (ok most weeks) can be so worrying after all you've been through but we will be here to hand hold.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 02/02/2009 08:18

We arent going anywhere!!!

So exciting La tour!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 02/02/2009 08:19

we have over a foot of snow here...
do you have the same Ses?

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 02/02/2009 08:21
LaTourEiffel · 02/02/2009 08:21

Oh, GYO, well, after I did the test (I was on my own at home on Friday) I burst into tears and cried at Nan for going before I could tell her , then left the stick in the bathroom for DH to find. I think he's pleased but very cautious too.

I'm quite excited and pleased that it hasn't taken months to catch like last time round, and also really mithering about all the twinges - I KNOW I'm looking for them, I KNOW they're normal, but goodness there's a lot of them!

I've got the extreme overwhelming tiredness (my first clue), emotions are a bit all over the place, a cold, stonking mouth ulcer, trumpiest tummy I've ever had, a huge appetite and the slightest hint of nausea every now and again...oh, and wierd tingling in my boobs every now and again too, almost like the let down sensation...
