Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 30/01/2009 20:25

LB, was it in any way bloody? I have been having jelly like discharge in the last week you see, just clear, with a yellowish tinge to it...

Astarte · 30/01/2009 20:26

Glask . Hugs and marshmallows sound good.

LB, yes sounds like a show, or part of it, don't worry could still be ages away yet though. A good sign that things are softening up.
Maybe it was the EPO?

kookykid · 30/01/2009 20:28

Hi everyone! This thread moves so quickly and I don't want to miss anything so quite often I have a good catch up and then can't rememeber anything and it's time for bed! Determined to post tonight though.

Glask I am SO sorry about your cat. I'd be just the same if I was you. He'll be fine though you know and just think... no more games of "hunt-the-poo" .

Congrats to treats and IDOB. I remember you well, IDOB! Good that there are more people "behind" me now!

And how could I forget...! Deige my jaw dropped on reading your news! A BOY!! Congratualtions! Your DDs are going to be so excited - have you told them yet?

Met my community midwife yesterday. Luckily for me there's a big shake up going on in my area and they will have to do all my MW visits at home!! Hooray! Much easier with my DD tearing around here rather than at a surgery somewhere. She was really positive about everything, including my plans for a homebirth. They've also just started doing nuchal scans here so am able to have one after all. However, I still have moments when sure I'm not going to see a heartbeat at the 12 week scan. Just the thought of it makes me go cold all over. Nothing to do but wait. Less than 3 weeks to go, but know it'll go so slowly.

lardybump · 30/01/2009 20:31

Oh i really hope things are moving on, just done a big wizz pop (I hope that none of you were eating ) so think pains are trapped wind.... I am pissing myself now that I have shared that piece of info with you......

Astarte · 30/01/2009 20:33

LB

lardybump · 30/01/2009 20:36

have you been in the pool yet this evening Astarte.... i would love to have a pool just to sit with my bump under water... baths are rubbish when pregnant I need a bloody swimming pool.......

My ribs are killing me I think baby must have been kicking me because everytime I take a deep breath or move to the side i get a pain in my ribs..... little bugger....

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 30/01/2009 20:39

belly belt is what some of you 'expanding' ladies may like the look of rather than getting maternity pants before you need them... look good to me, just wish i'd known before i bought tons of smaller sized maternity to fit me in the early stages!!

lardybump · 30/01/2009 20:48

I am in my great big knickers already glask........ you know the ones, it looks like I could use them as parachutes.....

lardybump · 30/01/2009 20:50

I am off now ladies should anything develope I will let you know but for now i bid you all good night.....

Astarte · 30/01/2009 20:53

No not tonight, Dh is refilling it as I lie here beached .

It is lovely LB and I honestly believe worth the money for the hour or so a day that I feel weightless and not pg, even if I didn't get to use it for the birth.

I agree about the bath too, lovely whilst it's quite hot, but then the effort of getting out .

I'm not sick of being pg, but god I'm bored of it now. I hope your show kicks off, very exciting
I've only ever had one and it was another 3 days before the rest came away too.
It was like a huge browny/red slug left me in no doubt what it was.
3 days after that a baby came out too!

Dh has bought me some 'superdooper' doughnuts from Sainsburys mmmmm!

kayzr · 30/01/2009 20:58

Yummy, I am eating trifle sponges. We bought too many when we made a tiramisu, so I have to eat them.

Astarte · 30/01/2009 21:00

good food cannot be wasted Kayz

right I'm off, night all!

Diege · 30/01/2009 21:13

Tee hee dh has just gone out to get me do-nuts from Saisbury's after I told him your dh had got you some ASARTE . I said he didn't have to but he said he didn't want to 'be upstaged by some bloke on the internet' . Men and their fragile egos eh!
LB, that does sound like a show to me, or at the very least a 'pre-show' if that makes sense! Remember having lots of thick 'vaseline-like' discharge 2 days before dd3 was born.
Dh off for mountain biking weekend early tomorrow, so expecting a rather knackering one tomorrow and Sunday! Never mind, just 3 weeks until my spa weekend!

Diege · 30/01/2009 21:33

No do-nuts dh has forlornly come back with a chocolate muffin, 2 custard slices (urghh) and a bar of choc...can't really complain . He says our village must be full of mumsnetters as the donut shelf is empty .
Right, will try to force some of it down and speak tomorrow

tinkhashertinklet · 31/01/2009 08:27

morning

dd has started waking just @2:15 in night already

Diege · 31/01/2009 08:32

Morning TINKS!That's great news about Bracken - obviously the new formula is suiting her, and glad that you are able to get a better nights sleep so early on too!
Hope everyone is well. Dh left now for the Lake District, so have to try and entertain the dds on my own for the weekend . Only 3 weeks till spa weekend - can't wait!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 31/01/2009 09:01

Morning.... I had my hot choc with marshmallows last night and made me feel a bit better- i didn't miss finding the bath mat all pee soaked this morning!! Miss him terribly but I know it was right to do. DH said he was so scared when he let him out though, and he just ran to the front door to want to go out!! Feel so sorry for the poor thing, he's never known anyone but us!!

Sesthinks2009willbeagreatyear · 31/01/2009 09:17

Morning!

Diege - sorry you didn't get your do-nuts. Hope your wkend with DDs goes well. I guess it could be one of the few times you'll get to be all girls together so make the most of it!! Spa wkend sounds great.

Glask - I love hot chocolate with marshmallows (and whipped cream!) Have you got any plans for the wkend?

Tink - sounds like Bracken is settling and continuing to do well.

Well I'd better get off my phone and out of bed! We've agreed to treat ourselves to dinner out this evening once the house is tidied and cleaned!

Diege · 31/01/2009 09:20

Hi GLASK! It must be hard rehoming the cat, but you really have done the right thing and will feel so much better in a few weeks when he is settled and you don't have to worry about the wee!
My blue teddy fleece arrived this morning from boden - 3-6 months so will be good for autumn/winter. The dds had of course ripped open the parcel when I was upstairs and have concluded they must be getting a brother...but I managed to throw them by pointing out that they have blue clothes too...It is very sweet, but looks massive! (they laid it across my tummy for the baby to see and try on)

Diege · 31/01/2009 09:22

Hi SES! Sounds a good day planned with carrot at end to inspire you to keep on with the tidying. How I remember those days when pregnant with dd1...lie-ins, shopping, sunday papers, having a wee on my own...Very !

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 31/01/2009 09:37

Morning SES- nope not really got any plans for the weekend... Think it'll be a lazy day for me and the kids today, feeling very solid in my bump- i can feel where she's growing fast!! And the kids are quite happily playing picnic with their blanket on the floor and all their play food too. Then DH is off tomorrow so if its not rained from now then he'll be finishing the DC's playgym for the garden!!

Diege- yeah it is very hard, but its feeling better this morning already... I was expecting lots of whineing from the other 2 during the night wondering where he'd gone, but nothing from them at all!! Then looking at the positives of saving washing, less food costs, less litter costs... all made us feel a smidge bit better... aswell as the obvious of me not crying at least once a day because i can't control a flippin cat!!

Oh and i got the all clear from my midwife last week for indian head massage and reflexology so i'm hoping i can book my first session for next week!! I get a relaxed feeling just from thinking about it- i'm gonna be in heaven after it!!

kayzr · 31/01/2009 09:38

Morning,

Clever deflection there Diege, I never would have thought of that.

Glask, I hope your cat enjoys his new home. I'm sure he will be fine.

Good luck tidying Ses, We are tidying today too.

I have decided I HAVE to lose weight. My brother put some old pictures of me on facebook and I looked great. I was even showing off my stomach!!

lardybump · 31/01/2009 09:39

Just popping on quickly to say no change here.... Going out for a family day today to the coast as we have little time left just the 3 of us so want to make the most of it... Hope the walking will help the baby move down and out if you know what I mean... Will catch up when we get home....

idreamofbeanie · 31/01/2009 09:49

Morning,

all the spa days and relaxing massages sound good. I was meant to be at the Sanctaury spa this weekend but they have had a fire so are closed until March. It's a shame I can't go but on the other hand there are loads of things there you should avoid if you are pregnant and I didn't really want to tell the 2 girls I am going with this early.

Glask - glad you are feeling a bit better this morning, I'm sure your cat will settle down in his new home in no time and you'll both feel better.

Well we were going to go out early, buy a couple of birthday presents for SIL and a friend then go for a long walk around a local NT site. DP is still in bed though so I might have to go and give him a nudge.

Diege · 31/01/2009 10:30

That's a shame about the spa IDOB. Still, I know what you mean about limits to what you can do when pregnant - no suana, jacuzzi etc. Think I will be dangling my feet in jacuzzi, and taking a book to the chill-out area while my friend takes advantage of everything else! Maybe you could book a mother-to-be massage when a bit further on?
LB, sounds a lovely day planned and who knows may well have effect of moving things down. Not long for you now!
GLASK, indian head massage sound heavenly - that's definitely something lovely to look forward to.
KAYZ, I'm sure if you put your mind to it you will lose the weight - but remember 9 months on, 9 months off, so don't stress! I think I'll be back at slimming world after this one, as it's the only thing that seems to work for me.
I have decided we need structure to thre day, so will take them all out for a brisk walk this afternoon around the village, then give in to the crisps and video combo later on...older dds want to watch that 'Your country needs you', so will keep that as bribe for doing their homework. Then hopefully a few hours peace to get my a-level marking started properly tonight - have 263 scripts to get through, but will get enough pay from doing it to get my bugaboo plus some left over for general 'shopping'
