Here I am! You can get to know me now...... Thank you for your lovely message on my other thread - not nosey at all!

LBOT invited me over as soon as she heard my news. This is just a quick post to introduce myself. I've just (literally this week) got my first ever BFP - DH and I have been ttc for 15 months. So I'm now 4+3, which I think (if I can decipher your list) would make me one of the 'youngest' here.

Looking forward to getting to know you all.....

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 30/01/2009 13:43

Welcome Treats and congratulations for the BFP! This is a great group

Gyo

kayzr · 30/01/2009 13:43

Yay!!!! Congratulations again

Welcome to the Wagon, We are a right mix of people. Some have already had their babies, some are just a few weeks off delivering, some have just got their BFPs and some are ttc.

One word of warning it is very addictive!!!

lastboxoftampons · 30/01/2009 13:49

Hooray, Treats

As Kay says there's all sorts on the wagon There's some who are on their first, all the way on up to their fourth! Some of us just starting out, others well on their way and some who just keep coming back What it means though is that no question is left unanswered! SOMEONE here will know what you're talking about!

And did I mention there's brownies!?!? I made a batch in your honour - I didn't thik anyone would mind

Astarte · 30/01/2009 14:24

Hello Treats! Huge Congratulations to you .

I think I graduated off the Temp buddies just before you joined the thread but remember seeing you post as I stalked lurked for updates on LBOT & Lottie (i used to be Sorkycake)

There's no such thing as TMI and no question is too stupid! Labour updates are compulsory, until you cannot speak, nevermind type 'cos we'll all be waiting, anxiously refreshing.

Ooh Kayz you're friend has my sympathy 4 months' and doing it again!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 30/01/2009 14:25

I think my cat has found a new home..... but i am actually sat here crying at the thought of him going!! I've had him for 5.5years and it breaks my heart to think about him not being here.... what should i do?

Diege · 30/01/2009 14:25

Hello and welcome TREATS . Many congrats - another Marilyn Glenville fan here! I'm on eof the mad ones on her 4th, although we have recently had the birth of LG&T's no. 7
Re: tens machine I found it really helped with dd2, right from beginning through to about mid-way. However, with dd3 it really gave no releif at all, even from the start. Am going to hire another one for this time though, although I realise it would have been cheaper to buy one I think for 4 labours!!

Diege · 30/01/2009 14:26

Aww KAYZ it will be hard to let him go, but you are doing the right thing. Is it a local house where you might still see him out and about?

Diege · 30/01/2009 14:27

Sorry, meant the cat ref for GLASK . You know I always get you two muddled up - don't ask me why!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 30/01/2009 14:28

They are pretty local but not local enough that we'll see him at all. I think i'm going to say that if for any reason they cannot deal with his problems and re-train him then we'll have him back in a flash, i dont want him going from pillar to post.

Astarte · 30/01/2009 14:31

Glask I would let him go.
I had to let one of our cats go (we had 3) during the end of my first pg, as he and our other tom were becoming incompatible. He went to a farm as he was an excellent mouser and I sobbed all the way there and all the way back .

Will the new home give you a little update every now and again? I found it really helpful to know he had settle and spent most of his time hunting in their barn. Plus we didn't have him wee'ing in our house when the baby arrived.

Diege, how you feeling? Have you told anyone about the sex yet?

kayzr · 30/01/2009 14:51

I am so pissed off. Our brand new camera isn't working. My mum got us it for xmas and it won't let us get the pictures of the camera onto the pc.

idreamofbeanie · 30/01/2009 14:51

Hi all,

I'm not sure whether any of you ladies remember me - I was posting over on the wagon ttc thread as cantwaitforxmas just before you all moved over to the ante-natal thread. Having 'chatted' a few times over there I felt I had to keep watching this thread (hope that doesn't make me sound like a scary stalker , it was just lovely when some of the wagon babies started to make an appearance). Anyway I feel I have sort of gotten to know you guys so I was wondering if I could come over and join you. This seems like a lovely close thread so I hope you don't mind me barging in!

I got my BFP just a week or so ago and am now 5+1 . I am very very excited and nervous.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 30/01/2009 14:53

Oh glask, sorry to hear you are so upset... but I agree with Ast, think its best to let him go under the circumstances. I know it will be really hard...

This kind of hits a sore spot for me as my cat is rather highly strung (had a bad kittenhood when we rescued her) and generally dislikes kids and noisy babies. She is already "misbehaving" (scratching chairs etc) as we are causing disruption getting the nursery ready...

So Im really concerned how she will react to the baby when it comes. I've had her for years -2 yrs with me and my ex, then he got "custody" of her after we split, he then gave her back to me when he had issues with her fighting with one of his new step cats - I'd be distraught to have to rehome her...she is like a cat PFB to me!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 30/01/2009 14:55

Welcome back IDOB! Congratulations, great to have you here!

Find the list and add your details on when your are ready!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 30/01/2009 14:56

IDOB- were you only starting to TTC as of January? or am I mixing you up with someone else?

If so- wow, good going!

kayzr · 30/01/2009 14:58

Hello IDOB!!!

Congratulations!!! I remember you!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 30/01/2009 14:58

Thanks Ast, I phoned DH up in floods of tears, he's going to come home early and we can all say our good-byes and they will come and collect him this evening. If they came tomorrow I doubt I'd be able to let him go as I'd be at home on my own with the kids.

I know its the right thing to do as any more of him weeing all over and i'll seriously go insane- i hate playing 'hunt the poo' when i think i can smell something too!! I can't do it any longer.... will just have to grin and bear it.

Anyway- Hi IDream- i remember you as cantwait!! Congrats on the BFP- welcome to the anti-natal wagon!!

Kayz- dont know what to suggest on the camera, but hope it can be returned for a new one or something. cant you take the memory card out and put it into one of the machines in asda etc to get the photo's?

kayzr · 30/01/2009 15:01

I think I will have to Glask, Its just getting to Asda. Ooooh there is a thing in Boots but I don't think it copies to cd.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 30/01/2009 15:02

is that what you wanted? the pics on a cd?... i know my local tesco and asda both do that, and some local film developers can do it now too....

Astarte · 30/01/2009 15:04

Glask. Glad you won't be doing it on your own.

Hello "I can't wait" yes I remember you too
Hope you settle in nicely, the sofa's are comfy, if well-worn because we're never out of the Wagon some days, there's buckets to the left and tea/chocolate to the right.

kayzr · 30/01/2009 15:07

I just want them on the computer and because the stupid thing won't work I'll have to put them on a cd. My mum has the same camera so I am going to pop round at the weekend to try her cable.

GruffaloSoldier · 30/01/2009 15:11

Welcome to Treats and IDOB - I do remember you IDOB. Congrats to you both on BFP's!!!

Kayz - your computer might not be compatible with camera ie have you got Vista? or windows 98 etc?. Did the camera come with any software on a cd? ALso on my laptop we have a little hole where you can put the memory card straight in without camera, have a look if you have one of those. Think it might just be on laptops though Im not sure.

Glask - sorry about cat but you are dong the right thing. You're putting your family first and allowing the cat to have a better life ie with someone who can devote the time he needs to get back on track. You are being really brave and unselfish and that really takes a lot. Glad your DH is coming home, you shouldn't do this alone. Good Luck.

Gyo - re your cat. I would not worry too much. I would just see how it goes. I have heard of cats acting up during pregnancy because of upheaval but as sson as baby is born and things settle, they tend to settle too. You will do what's right for your situation, just like Glask.

lastboxoftampons · 30/01/2009 15:12

IDOB! Congratulations!!!! so excited for you!

It's a big day for the wagon!

Astarte what are the buckets for?

Glask so sorry about your cat, but I think anyone willing to rehome an animal usually provides a really loving environment for them.

kayzr · 30/01/2009 15:15

Gruff, It has been working up until one day last week. So we have no idea what has happened.
