Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
lardybump · 30/01/2009 10:48

I got it from Fremlin Walk, I love costa as well Right must get dressed now as I have physio this afternoon. Will catch up with you all later......

Sesthinks2009willbeagreatyear · 30/01/2009 10:54

Hope you feel better soon LB and that physio goes well. I'm off to carry on with my list!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 30/01/2009 10:56

i've just had Jehovahs wittness people round at the door..... how do i tell them i'm not interested??? I was in my dressing gown- thought it was the postman so went to open it!!

DD is still ill, started haveing dhiorrea (sp?) yesterday afternoon and isn't too perky today so i'd decided on a pyjama day.... she was stood there talking for ages. asking about the baby as she saw my bump!! argh!!!!!

Astarte · 30/01/2009 11:09

Glask, I just say I'm in the middle of changing a nappy, but was expecting a parcel, which is the only reason I answered the door. We're in jama's today too

My mum used to lie and say she was Catholic! Apparently they never even tried to engage in convo after that and I've honestly never understood why. Maybe Catholics are less likely to be converted?

Hope the PT sorts you out LB, personally I think you'll labour before me too. Or maybe HappyNappies will sneak up and surprise everyone.

Just me and the LO today Oh and baby obv. but she's still insitu so doesn't count.

kayzr · 30/01/2009 11:12

I just tell them I'm not interested. I hate them, very very long story involving my best friend.

My DH is crackers. DS1 was playing with the packet of choc hobnobs, I told him to leave them alone, DH said "oh its ok, he won't get them out" 2 seconds later cue an "Oh no" from ds1 and there is a huge pile of crumbs on the floor and he shoves 2 biscuits in his gob. AND Dh buggers off for a fecking shower leaving me to clean it up!!!

GruffaloSoldier · 30/01/2009 11:15

LB - I have just been looking at tens rental on boots website - apparently they extend it 2 weeks free of charge.

Look here

GruffaloSoldier · 30/01/2009 11:16

You need to noify them before rental period is over!

GruffaloSoldier · 30/01/2009 11:20

Kayz go and sprinkle the crumbs on his side of the bed

kayzr · 30/01/2009 11:22

Omg!! My friend has just rang me. She is PG!!!!!!!!
Her DD is only 4 months old, she is in a real panic now. They used the withdrawl method[should be a DOH smiley] as they had run out of condoms. They honestly thought they would be ok.

She was laughing and crying at the same time bless her.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 30/01/2009 11:23

Yeah Kay- i dare you to put the dirt on his side of the bed!!! Thats the sort of prank i'd pull on DH!!

kayzr · 30/01/2009 11:25

I've hoovered it up now. I so wish I had posted then cleaned it up.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 30/01/2009 11:25

oh dear kayz- I was like that when i found out with DD, DS was only 7mths at the time, but i had been on the mini-pill so shouldn't have gotten pregnant really... She'll cope though, it'll be tough at first, but it'll be well worth it in the end!!

Sesthinks2009willbeagreatyear · 30/01/2009 11:43

Congrats to your friend Kay
May be a shock at first but (selfishly) made me feel all warm & fuzzy!

Re Jehovah's Witnesses. I don't know what it is about the Catholic thing but I'm Catholic and they knocked at my door about 6 yrs ago and I started to explain why I disagreed with what they were saying. I stayed nice and calm and explained their quotes were out of context and didn't fit with the loving God that I know. After a couple of minutes they made their excuses and left and they never knocked on my door again!

kayzr · 30/01/2009 11:44

I do really feel for her but at the same time I can't help thinking they have been very silly.

Astarte · 30/01/2009 12:12

Ses I think it maybe one of the mysteries of life

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 30/01/2009 12:26

I loved my Tens machine. I used it all the way through labour with DS2. I don't think I would have coped so well without it.

LBOT, I am very sorry but I was nosey. That is really great news. She is more than welcome to join us.

lastboxoftampons · 30/01/2009 13:32

Kay No, please don't apologize! It didn't occur to me that there are others on here who might know Treats Silly me! But isn't it brilliant? So happy for her! I hope she'll come join us!

kayzr · 30/01/2009 13:34

I don't know her though, thats why I apologized for being nosey. I wasn't going to post on her thread but it was such good news I couldn't resist.
